I’ve tried Amy’s a couple of times already and the food was pretty decent. However, during my most recent visit I wasn’t able to eat the food because the staff forgot that I had ordered anything. A waste of an hour and still left hungry. Won’t be going back.

Amy and staff are nice and all… but the place is just sooo dirty. The Eggs Benedict was not a bendict — just call it something else! The waffle came first — I thought it must have been pre-made, it showed up within 2 minutes. Coffee was muddy and the creamers had pieces of food and crumbs on them. All i could think about was the dirt, droppings, and old grease that must have been hiding in the meal. :(

Not the best breakfast place in Hayward. The food is very mediocre for the high prices, I ordered the country special with gravy and biscuits. The gravy tasted like it was from a can. from the quality to the plating it’s too over priced. If you are looking for a quick and non busy location this spot would be good.

Good food. I’ve had the French toast, pancakes, and omelettes here, and I’ve been pretty satisfied with the taste and price. I’ve been here a handful of times and will probably come again.

Lived walking distance from this place for years and never knew it existed. It is relatively small in the Fairway Shopping Center plaza(in the middle), so I can understand why I passed by it all the time without even noticing it. But I was finally able to stop by one early morning and got seated pretty quickly — it filled up pretty quickly too since it is pretty small. I ordered the«One with Everything» omelette and it was packed with literally everything! It all worked out as it turned out to be delicious!!! Unfortunately, they were out of the two flavors of shakes I wanted to get but I can’t wait to go back and try more of the things on their menu — including those shakes! Definitely recommend!

It was my first time ordering here with my father who flew in from san diego and we decided why not Amy’s. It was nice and cute on the inside, service was ok, not the best. When My father & I received our food we immediately noticed a piece of hair in my waffles and in his pancakes some small hair ball milled into with the syrup… I was disgusted and all we did was drink our drinks and leave. We didn’t want to complain since they were busy so maybe next time… check your food for hair people…

I have been going here since I was a little girl and its always my go to when I want a good meal! Her prices are affordable and her food is delicious! She offers a wide variety, even desserts! Amy is the most hospitable, funny, and genuine business owner I’ve met! She remembers everyone and always greets everyone! Her assistant, Joyce, is a blessing as well! Always lovely to speak with and very nice getting to know her while you eat at the counter. Eat at Amy’s and you will not be disappointed!

Portions big enough to share I had to take half of it home. Amy cooks the meals Herself makes you feel like you just made it at home. Just a tad to greasy but very tasty:) I’ve had the worst experience with breakfast foods at «higher end pricier» restaurants

Great food. Great value. Nice little find!!! I’ve been coming here a few times. With family and my bf. We love the home style meals. I’m all about respecting others’ reviews but I stick to my guns that tho rough around the edges, this place is great and the food is like something I would make at home. It may not be a 5 stars restaurant but delivers what it offers. Cozy home-style cooking. If you come on the weekend, expect it to be crowded, since it’s a small place, it packs fast. The bf is happy so I’m happy.

This review is long overdue! My boyfriend and I have been coming to Amy’s for about 7 months now, whenever we have a chance for a sit down breakfast. Hands down they serve the best American breakfast on this side of the Bay. I would say I’ve been here at least 12x since we discovered this little gem. I only wish it were a little bigger. Amy, the owner is always super friendly, and each time I’ve been there has been the master chef. We always seem to order the same dish every time… he orders the sausage Monster Burrito and I order the California Omelet, and if we’re really hungry throw in a waffle. The California Omelet comes with fresh veggies and avocado, but what makes it really amazing is the garlic and herbs she puts in along with cooking it at the perfect temperature to make the omelet light and fluffy. The hash browns are ALWAYS a perfect golden brown, crispy on the outside, and warm and soft on the inside. The Monster Burrito is huge with just the right balance of meat and filling. We top both our dishes with Tapatio to complement the flavors. Coffee here is okay, and the servers could be a little friendlier. I would highly recommend the omelets, and steer clear from the corned beef. My brother and his wife tried it here and were not happy with the portions of corned beef to potatoes. I would have given this place 5 stars were it not for these minor blemishes in my eyes. Overall, I would still highly recommend it… Amy’s has always been a wonderful taste experience for us, and we will certainly keep coming back for more!

We loved it! They gave a lot of breakfast options that it took us a while to think about what to get. I went with the California avocado florentine(or something like that). The hash browns are so yummy!!! We’ll be back again!

Price is a bit high. Food was good But 18 for a philly steak omelette was steep considering it was simple steak um French toast with berries 12. HPD here for breakfast so that’s a good sign. They usually know where to eat 34 breakfast was a little more than usual

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about. We went today it was crowded, the food was greasy, and the service was not very good. Lots of people at this little restaurant with sticky tables and dirty floors. I had to go through the kitchen to get to the bathroom which was filthy. Both bathroom and kitchen. We then waited for our food to come out, but it all arrived at different times. I would have liked to eat with my friends instead of eating by myself and waiting for their food. When the food finally got to our table it was all greasy. A shine over everyone’s fingers of oil. The worst part was at the end of the meal when we went in to pay for the bill. They didn’t give us a paper bill so that we could look over what they charged us. When we ask what everything cost we found that they had charged us incorrectly. When asked why we realize that they didn’t even know what we ordered.

***1STARFORTHEIRHANDHYGIENE/SANITATION*** Watch the servers and cook… Ate here with the hubby Sat morning. BUT we were grossed out watching the servers handle money/credit card and then… without washing their hands, get bread and put it in the toaster WITHTHESAMEUNWASHEDHANDTHATJUSTHANDLEDCASH/CREDIT CARDS. Also noticed halfway through or meal that the cook answered the phone then with her bare hands that just touched bacon and everything else. We hope we don’t get e. coli or c. Diff(food poisoning/diarrhea). Food gets 3 stars. Ordered the monster burrito, which had way too much hash browns, blueberry waffle was OK, and hubbys linguica qnd eggs were OK, just did not look like a 3 egg omelette. 5 star for the service, they were very friendly. But we won’t be coming back…

BRUHHHHH The location: conveniently located in a plaza next to a drugstore & desert place. Very quaint, slightly small, but extremely intimate. Seating is available both inside & out. The place is very low maintenance; You can grab a few menus & seat yourself wherever it is open. The employees are beyond friendly, attentive, & will make you feel welcomed. Amy herself works the grill & cooks EVERYTHING that everyone orders. The food: We are not ashamed to say that we had once been here 3 times in 4 days. Every order is made fresh until it’s run out. We’ve tried everything from the specialty omelets to the eggs Benedict/florentine to the burgers & we have got to say that Amy NEVER disappoints. Their coffee is very good(we’re daily coffee drinkers) & Andrew loves their OJ. Recommendations: Double Bacon Cheese Eggs Benedict(Lina’s usual), THEPANCAKES, Philly Cheesesteak Omelet, The Western Burger, & definitely get the home fries. The Verdict: Definitely come here if you’ve ever considered it. We 100% recommend. TL;DR: 10⁄10 would come again!

My boyfriend and I were in the mood for breakfast and we decided, based on the Unilocal reviews, to come here. It’s a nice, small café, with nice outdoor seating. I ordered the banana nut waffles with a side of sausage and scrambled eggs. It was soooo good! The banana nut waffles came with some sort of caramel sauce drizzled on top, along with whipped cream, so no need for syrup. He had a meaty scramble(I forget the name) but he really enjoyed his meal as well. It was a bit pricey, but the quick service is worth a notable mention :)

Little local shop, always like to support these. It’s pretty small and has like 6 tables inside so just be warned if you were going to bring a big group. I went around noon so it wasn’t packed as most reviewers say. We have to grab our own menu and grab our own table. That was a bit different but that’s fine since the shop was so small. The portions were ok, felt a bit lacking since maybe the plate was too big for display and all you see is plate. I had eggs and sausage and it looked sad, but it was good. Nothing significant and nothing that I couldn’t make at home on my own. Pricing was good though, cuz mine also came with 6 slice of French toast. Its on the thinner side with cinnamon on top that enhanced the taste. So if you want a little bit of everything for a decent price you should come here. I definitely liked it better than Denny’s. But unlike ihop’s deal, I had to order hash browns on the sides. It was really crispy. I would probably go back to try omelette but so far nothing particularly special.

A hidden gem in Hayward that is worth visiting. We happened to be in the area on a beautiful Saturday morning and searched a breakfast spot nearby. We were lucky to find that Amy’s Grill was the closest to our location and ventured over. We were kindly greeted and seated right away when we arrived and our waitress gave us a couple of minutes before taking our drink order. We chose the following items which were all superb! *Double Bacon Cheese Benedict with a side of fruit *Bacon & Egg Breakfast Sandwich: 2 fried eggs with bacon and sourdough toast. *Monster Burrito: filled with potatoes, eggs, cheese, and bacon *Waffle Special All our meals were tasty, every bite was delicious. It was then I realized this wasn’t your typical breakfast diner with bland eggs, burned waffles, overcooked bacon, and staff trying to rush you out etc. This amazing gem succeeds in service and the ability to pour in amazing flavor to every meal that is prepared. Amy works her magic in the kitchen and she definitely cooks with love. Great spot. Great find.

Today I became the Duke of Amy’s! Come on fellow Unilocalers, Amy’s serves up the best breakfasts. You need to come here and give me a run for the title. The Cowboy Style Benedict this morning was over the top delicious. An English muffin topped by two sausage patties, poached eggs, sausage gravy and crispy crumbled bacon. The sausage gravy was perfect. When I tapped into an egg and the yellow yolk started to flow it was a thing of beauty. I almost cried. The home fries(GETTHEM!) were lovingly prepared with a sprinkling of red and green peppers and onions. They were perfectly spiced and included a great mix of tender potato and crunchy bits. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I love the crunchy bits! When I finished breakfast, I seriously considered licking the plate clean. I was SO happy Amy’s was open today. It was an excellent way to start the new year!

Amy’s is a cute little cozy café where you go to shake a hang over or impress your one night stand, lol. Amy’s is in the center of the plaza, but easy to find if you enter the parking lot near Sonics. The dining area is really small, but it comfy not good for parties over 6 . The food is always good, and I’ve yet to be disappointed. This Saturday I ordered the Strawberry and banana waffle and it was delicious! My hunny ordered: rice, eggs, sausages, and bacon and it was on point. I always bring my girlfriends here the morning after the club, and they’re are so impressed. Amy’s menu is a traditional breakfast menu with a few other American favorites like milkshakes and burgers. They’re omelets are really good also, and all the ingredients are always fresh. I also love how you can see them make everything right in front of you, no mystery! Amy and her waitresses are always really friendly, and they make me feel like I’m having breakfast over at a friends. I love the atmosphere of this place and the food is really awesome. If you have a kid, they have books to keep them entertained. Amy’s is closed on Mondays, but stop by soon!
