We’ve been here about 3 times now. Service is a tad slow, but when you go to one of these spots for breakfast on the weekend, timing is going to be a tad slow. I had scrambled eggs, corn beef hash, toast. Was decent. I’ll always choose one of these mom n pop places over Denny’s or IHOP.

Decided to give this place a try after passing it up so many times. Pretty nice selection for breakfast. The waffles are the specialty, decided to try the cinnamon apple. Enjoyed each bite. Place caught me off guard, rest of my breakfast was pretty solid as well. I’ll be back for sure.

My fiancé was against the idea because of its 3.5 star rating. Very polite and welcoming the whole time. When we tasted the food we gave it a 3 star. The food was ok but not amazing. Overall we gave it a 3.5 because of the amazing services we received.

I ordered the peanut butter banana waffle which was huge. And tasted good. The host was a little rude and had a fml look on her face even tho it wasnt that busy. Over all food was good and service was okay…

I absolutely love this place! They give you a lot of food! The waffles are so big and fluffy and flavorful! They give you fresh bananas on the banana pecan waffles and a lot of whipped cream. The whipped cream taste homemade, not like that fake nasty stuff IHOP gives you! I like the amount of eggs they give you too. IHOP barely gives you one egg with their meals. The prices here are great! It’s not expensive at all! The coffee was very fresh as well. The service is excellent. I would gladly drive to Hayward from where I stay to eat here often!

If you want a colonic, or you’re trying to lose weight, then definitely get the chicken fried steak. I know it sounds counter-​intuitive but trust me. I’ve had diarrhea for well over 24 hours now.

Food is really good, but service isn’t all that great. I felt like the waiter forgot about us several times. It was a Monday morning so it wasn’t even that busy. I would still come here again despite the service. The pork chorizo and the hasbrown dish is scrumptious fyi.

Really wanted to grab some ‘good old’ breakfast food… specifically some biscuits and gravy, sausage, and eggs. Lucky for me, they have ALL of those things. Unfortunately for me, they don’t know how to MAKE them. My eggs were clearly made from some gross mix… my sausage shriveled up and tasted awful… but here’s the worst part. The biscuits (that’s right, biscuits — the EASIEST thing in the world to make) were like eating cardboard. And the gravy? The gravy was nothing more than flour and water, with some pepper sprinkled in and big chunks of the same nasty sausages I had on the side.
If you’re looking for a good breakfast, I would suggest McDonalds.

We had to stop somewhere to eat before heading to a funeral service so we found Country Waffles. It was your run of the mill breakfast spot. Ordered a waffle and it was quite tasty. Nothing overly special about everything. I excepted alittle bit of a cheaper price range but glad I finally went to a Country Waffles place. It did the job and they were super fast.

Its a good place to go have breakfast. Even though it was Sunday the wait was just about 15 minutes and they have good service. We ordered the cinnamon roll french toast which was tasty and had a good portion for the price. The only thing i wont give 5 stars for its because parking is a bit of a struggle. Other than that its pretty good.

I came here with a friend a few days ago. I ordered something relatively simple.
Scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and some pancakes.
To be entirely honest, I wasn’t impressed. The food was decent, but it wasn’t anything too special.
My main issue was when my friend asked for a box for her food, it took us reminding them twice and almost over 20 minutes. I understand the staff is busy, but 20 minutes for a box is way too long.
The pricing was okay.
The food was good, just not anything spectacular.
Not a place I will return to.

Way better than IHOP… The food actually taste like real food and not processed…
The waiter (Juan) was very kind, and us being vegetarian we had to order a plate without meat.
We looked through the menu too fast, and Juan pointed out the same plate but for vegetarians.
I like going to a place where the waiter actually knows the menu and is attentive!

First off all I want to say their service is great!!!
Me and my bf decided to try this place this morning for breakfast… Let me just say they are super friendly. Service is fast. Always checking in on you. The menu is a little overwhelming, they have so many choices for brefasstttt. It’s awesome and they are always refilling your coffee! :3

First time here. I woke up craving eggs benedict & searched for nearby places that serve it. I was seated quickly & asked what I wanted to drink but after about 20min I had to ask if someone could take my order. The place was not busy & there were a lot of staff members walking around aimlessly. Also, they could smile more. Everyone seems pretty miserable. Despite this, the waitress took my order & the food was delivered promptly. The coffee was okay, a little watered down. Now about the Benny: there was a thick layer of cheddar cheese between the ham & English muffin that I didn’t care for but that’s just me. The holandaise was thick (which is good) but lacked flavor. The egg was poached well & the hashbrowns were delicious. Overall I give the service a 3⁄5 & the meal a 4⁄5. The atmosphere is light & comfy so that was good.

Country Waffles is exactly the kind of breakfast I’m craving most mornings. Beats Denny and iHop – other nearby alternatives. Wait time is do-​able and their staff always have the light of the day in them.
I’m not giving his place 5 stars because it is the best breakfast I have ever eaten nor does the space provide the greatest dining out experience, but for what it is and what it’s priced at, Country Waffles is really solid. Also, if you are looking for some amazing fresh strawberry waffles in the Union City/​Hayward area, you’re not going to find any place better than Country Waffles. They got the waffle game on lock. Garden omelette is also a yummy favorite.

Came here mid-​day for some breakfast and can’t complain. Server and food arrived quickly, we ate fast and we were out in the world again.
Dining area is a little small, not the cleanest place, staff is friendly, food is good.

Service here is super friendly!!! Food here is just okay. My daughter had a scramble which was decent. I had the chicken and waffles, do NOT order! The chicken tasted like it came out of a bag of frozen chicken, not good at all. The waffles were actually okay.
This place was really busy when we came here on the weekend during brunch.
Prices were okay, parking was easy.
