Went in to the shop for the first time today, looking for a pair of leather 16 oz. gloves for my upcoming class at Esteller Martial arts. Rob helped me the entire time, was attentive, friendly and helpful. Ed was busy on the phone, but still had time to throw out a nice «hello». Super nice dudes at the shop! I would recommend them to anyone. thanks guys for your help. Ended up leaving with a beautiful pair of AK-​47 gloves.

I’ve been coming to this local shop for years and they never seem to fail me. They carry a wide variety of martial arts gear ranging from gloves and shin pads to BJJ kimonos and apparel.
Ed, who is the owner of the brand, is a very chill guy with Awesome customer service and advice. Most def excited for their new releases coming 2015!

I recently purchased the Ak-​47 jiu jitsu uniform. great uniform. well build and doesn’t rip after the first throw like certain other suspect brands. Recommended for guys who are serious. those of you who know what i’m talking about, have fun on the mat.

Excellent gear, right at the correct intersection of quality and price. I also like that it is a local company in Hayward whom you can speak with, make suggestions to, vs. somewhere else in the country or overseas.
I basically own the entire AK 47 MMA line i.e. Boxing Gloves, Jiujitsi Gi, MMA Gloves, Neoprene Shins and Heavy Duty Shins, Rash Guard. All are great products, but my favorites are Heavy Duty Shins (Beasts) which I use several times a week for Muay Thai and the Black BJJ GI. If you want a good indication of quality, take a look a just the Gi Pants. Reinforced knees, extra loops up front (unlike other companies with two drawstring loops = pants fall down).
The Boxing Gloves are good as well. No joke — I have owned many brands of gloves, at all ends of the price/​quality spectrum (Fairtex, Twins, Cleto Reyes, Century, Everlast, RevGear, Windy). The AK 16 oz. are ones I have in my bag right now.

Great gear and great customer service! A lot of other fight shops feel intimidating or lack customer service and product knowledge. Not this place! The gear they mainly sell is designed in house so these guys know what they are selling and know other brands as well. I love that my fight gear was made by a small group of guys in the Bay. Def check this spot out!
