KFC

I’ve visited this location 3 times in the past 6 months. The first time we stood in line for about 28 minutes as the person helping everyone was obviously new and no one was helping him. When he was asked why no one would step up to help (the now 8 people in line), he said that they told him they weren’t interested in helping him learn the register. Then when it was finally our turn to order, we were told that they were out of original recipe chicken and we would have to wait an additional 12 minutes. Uh, we left.
Second trip there was through the drive-​thru. We ordered our meal and a partait. We got home and realized we didn’t have our parfait. Called up, they told me to stop by and pick it up… he took my name and said it was going to be on a board in the office. We stopped by 2 days later… no name on board, no parfait for me. I called the KFC Customer Service line and spoke to a rep. They told me they were sorry and were going to send me a free parfait coupon. Took my info, but to this day have not seen these coupons.
Tonite drove through the drive-​thru again, ordered chicken strips but, lo-​and-​behold, this chicken-​only establishment didn’t have any chicken strips ready at 7:50 in the evening… I would have to wait 20 (yes, that’s TWENTY) minutes for them to be ready.
I’m pretty sure I won’t be going back to this location. I may not visit ANY locations because of how horrible the service was at this location and the CS line.

OK, I need to update this with a serious footnote.
Ever since I got a ROTD for this place back in 2006, this franchise decided to drop their All-​You-​Can-​Eat buffet of chickens. I thought their promotion of AYCE buffet of chickens was a great idea and they kept that thing going for almost a decade.
Then in an unforeseen reason in the spring of 2007, they decided to drop this ritual of offering the all-​you-​can eat buffet of Crispy or original chickens during the twilight hours (after lunch, but right before dinner).
Now for me, this place is nothing special and very ho-​hum. I hate to dog this, but I might to revisit all the places I got ROTD for. Apparently they are not living it up to my standards of approval.

KFC BUFFET is no more…
My mom and grandma went a couple of weeks ago, and there were no buffets!
When we use to have a store in Downtown LA, on the way back home, we would stuff ourselves full with fried chicken. I distinctly remember watching an asian couple smuggle plates of food out.
And now… i’ts just your regular KFC. I think the regular KFC is too expensive though. Coleslaw is awwesome! Sometimes I stop by and just buy the coleslaw.
