The lady was working very rushed. The end result was uneven and misshapen nails. Wouldn’t recommend this place.

Helen does a fantastic job. You cannot beat the price and their massages are awesome. Massage chairs are a plus

Okay experience. Vive has gone downhill since new owners took over. Prices have gone up, services are not executed well, & the actual hours the salon is open have been shortened. Pedicure I received had to be done twice & my gel manicure is chipped 6 hours later… Everything felt rushed. I used to go out of my way to come to this salon; not anymore.

DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEORMONEYHERE!!! This is the absolute worst nail salon I’ve ever been to. HORRIBLE customer service from start to finish. The lady who did my pedicure had a lengthy phone conversation on her cell phone with it on speaker while she was working on my feet. She never greeted me when she started because she was talking on her cell phone. After she finished her phone conversation, she continued to talk with another worker in the salon – still not acknowledging my presence. Her continuous chatter made the experience unpleasant and it wasn’t relaxing at all. Aside from the rude behavior, the pedicure itself wasn’t a quality job. The polish was not done correctly – it had bubbles and there was still residual polish around my toe nails. I wasn’t pleased with the end result or the customer service. As my feet were drying, another customer walked in and I warned her of the poor customer service. The customer reported my comment to the worker and she yelled«I don’t care what she say!» At this point I was appalled and didn’t want to give my money to this business. My friend and I waited patiently for someone to address us(since we hadn’t paid yet) but the workers ignored us. I finally said that if nobody was going to address us we were going to leave. My pedicurist came over and I shared with her my complaints but she got extremely defensive. Long story short… SHELOCKEDTHEDOOR&CALLEDTHEPOLICE on me because she thought I wasn’t going to pay for my services. It was totally unnecessary because if my intentions were to just leave without paying I could have done so when they were ignoring us and we were left near the door unattended. After realizing that the worker couldn’t comprehend the error of her ways, I paid and left before the police arrived. If you are seeking good service in the area, I’d suggest Polished Nail Lounge but it’s appointment only. There won’t be a line at Vive Nail Spa because the customer service sucks and most people probably never come back after their first visit. I WILLNEVEREVERCOMEBACKTOVIVENAILSPA!!! And they should change the name because there’s nothing spa-like or relaxing about this place. It will surely go out of business soon… good riddance!!!

My pedicure and manicure was rushed. End result it looked horrible. Had bubbles in nail polish, looked lumpy and dull. Also, during pedicure, because the lady was rushing she ended up scratching the side of my foot causing me to bleed. This was the most horrible nail salon experience I ever had. In addition, horrible customer service

DON’T WASTEYOURMONEY! Honestly the worst salon I’ve ever been to. Rude service and I’m sure they over charged me for a service($ 25 for a full set when the advertised price is $ 18!!) I was displeased with in the first place. I went in once to get my brows done and the man was very rough with the wax and made my brows very uneven. Vive has disappointed me on several occasions and I will NOT be back. I advise other people seeking good service to look elsewhere!

Wanting to avoid those salons that are too crowded or those that only take appointments… I ventured to the Westbank. It helps I work in this area some weeks. This salon is very clean and I have always found the staff very friendly. The price is typical of nail salons but there are opportunities for discounts for regulars which I really like. And with a basic Pedi… you receive a leg scrub which is a nice plus. So, you’re in and you’re out. I like that.

Nice ladies. decent clean place. BUT I’M NEVERCOMINGBACK! I dropped by during my lunch break to get my gel nails done for this weekend. I normally go to La Vang off of Manhattan but when I came they were all packed! There was no way I could get done during lunch. So, I drove down the street to Vive Nail Salon. I came in and asked if they offered Gel Nails. The owner responds Yes and pointed to the color selection. An decent number of selection but not as much as La Vang. The lady doing my manicure was nice. But then we got to the actual gel nail point. I realized they did not know what they were doing. She originially picked up the wrong base coat and another lady from afar had to tell her. no that’s the top part. When she painted each layer on, she asked me to put my hands in the UV machine. She did not know which option to press. She kept pressing.A.then.B.then.C.then D. then ask. which one do I press. so she presses A.(not sure if this is right) Then for the top coat. she presses D.waited.when she was done. took my hands and wiped it off for the final step. It was still sticky… Another lady came by. originial lady left to start a pedicure for another customer.2nd lady said. it’s not dry!.. had to rebuff. put another coat. reset the UV machine. another 3 minutes…3rd lady came… checked it again after spraying it off… still sticky. At this point. I told them. no I’ve done gel nails plenty of time… it’s not like this. can you just remove and I’m willing to pay for the labor. Owner lady stopped her nail session with her customer. came over.and rebuffed again… wiped it. and put in made 4th time… As i’m typing this. this gel nails still feel sticky!.. I wished I just waited another day for my usual location… She gave me $ 5.00 off so $ 30…I’m a nice person. I know people work hard for their money… so I still tipped my usual $ 10 for my manicure. so I left paying $ 40 and my gel nails are already chipping… WTH… NEVERAGAIN!.. Sorry…Just not my type of place…

Your typical nail salon. The place is clean and the staff are friendly. Not the best place I have ever been, but not the worst.

Best nail shop on the west bank without going to a high end spa. No food smell, no junk lying around, new wood floors, very clean.

Clean and spacious nail salon and they don’t speak in any Asian language!!! Really nice wooden floors and the décor is Asian neutral minimalist — so beige walls with white trimmings and lots of green bamboo plants. What’s awesome is that this place is so freakin clean(even with the obvious wear and tear on the floor) and none of that acrylic/gel powder/liquid smell(of course… only one person doing fake nails.) You’ll find the spa pedicure chairs located in the middle(or «back») hidden behind a small wall for added privacy. Five chairs total and right when I walked in, one can totally smell disinfectant — HUGE plus. Manicure and pedicure special on Mon-Wed — 33.00. If you want French, I think add like 10 more(not too sure). All nail polishes are either China Glaze or OPI(big plus — none of that cheap crap). My pedicure was good as it has been well over 8 months since got one. They do cut cuticles here(personally I love it) but make sure to tell them no if you don’t want it. Also, they place signs up telling clients that the razors are no longer legal to use in nail salons — hurrah for them. Instead, they will use a special foot gel that will«loosen» up that dead skin on your feet and scrub it away(yes it does work — if you have really tough skin, ask them to leave it on longer). Manicure was great as well — skin was trimmed and feels refreshed(although one digit is a wee bit sore). The only complaint I have is the actual polishing job — my tech missed a few spots or didn’t come up to the ridge too close or left it missing some gaps(both hands and toes). She also didn’t swipe the free edge with the polish to ensure longer staying power. But she was super friendly… I’m sure the other techs are a bit more experienced… I’ll try the others and find out. Of course the tale-tell sign will be how long until polish chips but this place is really spot-on compared to the other«seedy» nail joints.
