I live just up the hill from this Jimmy John’s and I absolutely love how fast I can get my food. The sandwiches I don’t think Are that badly priced for the taste and the amount that you get. Not to mention certain toppings are free and I usually load up on those. I’m always happy with how prompt my delivery is, and the only time it seems to take any longer is when meal times are occurring. I absolutely love how every time I order extra hot cherry peppers I usually get plenty of them on my subs. I’m going to continue ordering from this place.

After months of myself and my room mates receiving delivers from this location, tonight the manager told me that we were out of their, as well as the other area locations, delivery zone. He said specifically that we were out of their delivery radius by «one block» even though the night before they had delivered to us. After 15 minutes of discussion with the manager he refused to deliver to us on the basis that«people who are one house outside the delivery zone might ask to get delivered too if I allow us to deliver to you» I finally hung up the phone. Terrible customer service, the manager needs a serious talking to. Even though they took our entire order despite the address we gave them. If we could give them less than one star we would.

Ugh… worst experience I’ve had with Jimmy John’s ever! I love the one near my place in NWFL but this one in VA is terrible. I was trying to ask questions about the Sides so I can feed my picky toddler. I dislike giving negative reviews but here it is… The story: My husband and I came in, it was pleasant until I asked about the«extra load of meat» on their Sides menu. The conversation: «Hey, how much meat comes with the«extra load of meat?»(it’s a valid question – need to know if I have to order 2 servings etc) «Uhhhh… What?» I repeat myself. «The one right there on the Sides menu?» «Uhh, hey(calls out to coworker at end of line), how much meat comes with the extra load of meat?» He gives her a nasty look(that made me feel like he was giving ME the look of «really? You’re gonna ask us?» In my head, I’m thinking, shouldn’t you know. They exchange looks(yes, as if we, as the customers, can’t see them lol) and he fumbles with the meat section, and finally shows us what«extra» means. I say, «oh ok, good, that’s seems like a lot.» We move on and talk about a sandwich my husband wants and the girl asks him a weird question, «you want that without the bread?» My husband replies, «…no, that’ll be just be a regular sandwich…» This is where it gets ugly especially for me because I literally thought I was going out of my mind. Lol She looked so confused so I ask, «does the ‘extra load of meat’ have to be the same meat he gets on his sandwich?» I asked because we obviously didn’t know, and I wanted to make sure we were doing it right. That’s seems like a yes or no answer to me… instead she reviews our order and asks something about the bread again… i suppose it was just a big misunderstanding, but I ended up asking my husband aloud if I was being understood because every time we had a question, they didn’t know or was going around the answer! So, my husband settled it since I was too flabbergasted(long 10 hour trip…) but it was just a simple situation that I believe the one near our home would’ve been able to answer and settle quickly… They looked like young kids anyway and seemed poorly-trained especially with the way they were giving each other looks… like in front of the customers… lol Kind of funny. It wasn’t funny that night that’s for sure…

My experience here today was weird. I ordinarily like Jimmy John’s, and the sandwich lived up to the expectations I have of the chain, tastewise. But something strange was going on. I got into the restaurant at around 6:45PM. Everyone started cheering when I walked in, and they proudly proclaimed«You’re our first customer today!» At 7PM on a Sunday(and I think they do serve lunch on Sundays…), that seemed a little weird, but whatever. Anyway, I order an Italian sandwich, and since I kind of felt bad for them and wanted to give them some extra business, I made it a combo. While they’re making my sandwich, they casually tell me that they’re giving away a bunch of really old bread, so old that it’s turning black. Ok, eww, but as long as my sandwich isn’t being made with that… They make my sandwich in all of 30 seconds, which was really impressive to watch, then as I start eating, they start talking about how they have to «sanitize the water». I don’t know what that means, but apparently the sanitizer they’re using is strong enough to take nail polish off of fingers. Does that mean that my sandwich was made with«unsanitized water»? I don’t even know what that means, but I assume it has something to do with washing the utensils and not making sandwiches. Anyway, I get about 2⁄3 of the way through the sandwich when I notice a piece of oregano on my lettuce… with legs and antennae. Bugs in the lettuce don’t bother me, per se(it’s impossible to completely prevent; lots of bugs love lettuce), but this was the third creepy vibe I had about the place and decided not to finish my sandwich. To the staff’s credit, they were really friendly and handled orders really quickly. But there might be some sanitary issues to be fixed, and even if this is the normal stuff every restaurant goes through and just doesn’t talk about, I think I might be better off blissfully ignorant :)

Crazy fast service like all Jimmy Johns. The parking lot is terrible especially when JMU is in session. Also, I usually take out from this location because the music and noise is more than I like at lunch.

I am really disappointed with Jimmy John’s. Not this specific restaurant but the whole franchise in general. Their food is always so bland and their bread is never soft, it’s always hard. I’ve tried Jimmy Johns three different times in three different locations to give them a few chances, never again!

Jimmy John’s best attributes are it’s speedy delivery, and its delicious bread. However, like subway or many other chain sandwich shops, they are very stingy with the meat they put on the sandwich.

Overpriced, skimpy subs that don’t live up to their claims. Grouchy, unhelpful employees. The best part of my experience? Avocado dressing. That’s not enough to keep me as a customer. –VERYLIMITEDDELIVERYAREA. The reason they can use fast delivery as a selling point is because their delivery area is so small. I work less than 5 miles away and we are out of their delivery area. ANY restaurant can claim fast delivery when they only deliver within a few mile radius! –AVERAGEFOOD. Like someone else said, they don’t live up to the hype. I ordered a veggie sub for myself and an Italian for my husband. The avocado dressing on the veggie is good. That’s the only great thing I can say about it. Subs are very skimpy for the price. Very little meat and toppings. Gourmet subs? No way! Gourmet prices? Absolutely! –UNFRIENDLYEMPLOYEES. Poor customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine. So, when I picked up my sub, paid, and was met with an unfriendly, apathetic attitude from the employee who took my money, I was immediately turned off. I asked for an extra napkin and he gestured and curtly said, «Down there!», apparently annoyed that I had the audacity to actually ask him a question.

Oh wow, I was really disappointed with Jimmy Johns! I heard it was a great place to get a sub or sandwich, but I prefer Subways over this place ANYDAY. I got the Turkey Tom and it was so bland. It was basically a few cuts of turkey, mayo(which was where the majority of the flavor came from sadly), tomato and sprouts. The bread was a cheap white sub bread. The totally was about 5 dollars, and I could have gotten a better sub at Subways… I think the fact that you cannot choose your toppings like Subway is a con. Seriously, this sub lacked flavor and quality. It’s probably the worst sub I ever had… I will not be returning to Jimmy Johns to be honest.

I love Jimmy John’s and give the local one near my office in Charlotte, NC5 stars plus. This location was the usual fast and friendly in terms of sub preparation and service but for the first time ever at a Jimmy John’s I got some sub-standard quality meat on my sandwich. It was roast beef but instead of the usual rare and lean, this was well done and a bit fatty. Perhaps just an off shipment from the supplier or something so, won’t bust them to 2 stars or less assuming just a bad day. Judging from the other reviews, this location seems to be pretty good overall. One thing to note, there is a low wall that juts out in the parking lot so beware backing out or you’ll get an unpleasant surprise. To their credit, there are signs on the wall outside the place making sure folks know about it.

They definitely stand up to their motto. They are definitely the fastest delivery joint out there. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that these subs can be made by yourself. It is just that college students are too drunk or don’t have the ingredients to make it. I can guarantee you can buy what you need from Food Lion or Walmart and make 5x more subs for practically the same price. However, they delivery til 2 a.m. Thumbs up!

Fresh, good quality ingredients. The subs are a good size for lunch-not too gigantic. I love being able to order online when at work, and the delivery is just as fast as they advertise. Quick delivery to the JMU campus. The only problem that I have experienced is what appears to be a extremely limited delivery area. My house is 1.5 miles from the restaurant and I am outside the online delivery zone, and when I call they always have to double check that they can still deliver to my home.

Absolutely awesome! Such a big step up from Subway and Quiznos! Get the beach club, and you won’t be disappointed! It has turkey, provolone, sprouts, and a light avocado spread! And I can’t review JJ’s without mentioning the delicious french bread that they make subs with! Yes, you can get the whole wheat alternative, but once in awhile, a little white bread never hurt no one! FAST delivery too!

I love this place! Your food is made quickly like at Subway but the bread, meats, cheese, etc. are of much better quality and taste out of this world. This place is a definite favorite for students and the surrounding commuity. You will not be dissapointed.
