This place had 5 stars, but not very many reviews, so I’m going to add to it. My sandwich was amazing, curried chicken salad on a croissant. I had my 2 young children and they enjoyed the PB and J kids plate, and I was happy it was reasonably priced and healthy. Omg… I’m already wishing I ate that sandwich slower.

Wow. This place is SO easy to miss, and is one of the best kept secrets in Harrisonburg. If you’re passing through and need a quick bite, need to order something for pick-up, or want a quaint little cheery place to lunch for an hour — this place kicks butt. Corny as hell to say — but their food is made with love. Don’t change, Heritage!

I was passing through Harrisonburg, and decided to stop to try this place, and am so glad I did! My boyfriend(who I was traveling with) both ordered breakfast sandwiches and coffee to enjoy there, which were both delicious. But the best part was the magic bars we picked up before leaving. SOGOOD!!! I have no idea what was in them but they were addicting! And not to mention, the owner was totally friendly and personable as well. My boyfriend walked out of there totally wishing Heritage had a location where we live 2 hours away!

Cute, quaint café. Have been twice, first time got a sandwich and side salad, today just an almond croissant. Very good and nice vibes. Will be back when downtown.

Great little bakery. We(Mom & I) stumbled in from a long bike ride on a hot day, were warmly greeted and politely ordered to have a drink of water to refresh ourselves before ordering. Mom’s chocolate gluten and dairy free muffin was tasty, not dry like they can be and my curried chicken croissant sandwich was delish. The quiche looked good but they ran out so get there early. We stayed for coffee and a cookie, glad we did.
