Amazing place to eat, the food is absolutely tasty. I am very picky with Mexican food but this place wins! Service is friendly and prompt, they definitely take care of you. The only complaint is their drink size (a soda costs $ 2.69 and it’s half a glass with only 2 free refills), but it could be them just trying to be effective. Still don’t let this deter you (I’d hardly believe it’s reason to prevent you from coming here)!

I’ve eaten here 3 times and consistently get sick afterwards. The food tastes fine, but whatever goes in to it has me feeling miserable the next day. Maybe they use too much salt in their food? Unusual preservatives? I don’t know… all that I know is that I’ve given it 1, 2 and 3 attempts all with consistent, unpleasant results.

Amazing staff. Great service. Reasonable prices. If you’re looking for a Mexican experience this is the place to go. Definitely will return again next time we’re in town!!!

Mojarra and steak burritos are what we came here for today; the big fish and fat burritos. The portions are hefty and the price wasn’t bad either. Will keep coming back

The WORST service ever. The servers were so RUDE ! They didn’t even seat us when walked in and waited looking stupid cuz it was our first time there, then we sat down after approaching the bartender and asking where to sit. She said sit anywhere and we did, then the server said you’re gonna have to move cus this table is reserved with a really crappy attitude when there WAS’NT a danm RESERVED sign on it in the first place. smh will NEVER go back cuz the food sucked too. Bland and tasted no where near authentic. I ordered the fried ice cream cuz I’ve never heard of it and turns out it’s a hunk of Ice Cream that they rolled through some stale af cornflakes and drizzled caramel over it thinking i would’nt notice. Horrible just horrible smh

Food is amazing. Service was less then enjoyable. Had to prompt the wait staff for refills, dressing etc… It was lunch also and not busy at all. Shrimp tostada and the chile relleno was killer. We will be back.

Walked to this place from the hotel by accident and happy I did. This is my second thine here in three day and the food was as good as the first time. I got the shrimp tacos grilled in butter and cilantro, and it was some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Worth to check out and the staff where extremely friendly both times.

Been a customer since 2004 and would eat here monthly or at least every other month. But after today I’ll never go to this restaurant again. I found a hair in my meal. As soon as I noticed eat, I stopped eating, called the waitress over to inform her, asked for the bill and two to go boxes. I was with my daughters. When the waitress came back she said I would be given a discount. My first though was, why should I be charged anything for the meal. However, I keep quiet to see what type of discount they would give me. The waitress said I was getting $ 10 off for a $ 16.99 meal. I asked why was I being charged anything when there was a hair in the food. She called the manager over who told me that I had eaten some of the food, didn’t notify the waitress when I saw the hair and $ 10 off is a good discount because the usual is $ 5. I replied I stopped eating as soon as I found the hair and notified the waitress immediately and I shouldn’t be charged anything. She, the manager call the cook out and told him there was a hair in the food, who said it wasn’t from him. Obviously it didn’t come from him because he had very short hair, but it could have come from the waitress. At this point I stated to all three of them now that I shouldn’t be charged at all for a hair in my food and was getting a little louder and upset because it felt like they were trying to argue with me about it. The manager finally conceded and removed the meal of $ 16.99 instead of the $ 10 discount. Earlier I had ordered another meal to go for later, already paid for but left it behind. I don’t want it or anything from them if they were going to argue with me over a couple dollars.
In my opinion the restaurant handled this situation in the worst way possible. Instead of arguing over the discount, she should have just taken the meal off. The waitress did not even apologize for the hair in meal initially. Poor poor customer service. Lost a consistent customer over $ 7. If the waitress had apologized, the manager would have taken the meal off, I would have even left a tip and considered coming back. Never again.

Mexican food was very good! Margaritas were good! The only thing is I wish they had a cheese dip for the chips.

Horrible service, this place needs better management! They ignore you when you come in and are waiting for a place to sit. It has happened twice now and I will never return even if their food taste good. Service should be a high standard in these restaurant and unfortunately it never has been. I always enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup though, I sure am going to miss that.

So delicious! The ceviche was amazing… perfectly done and beautifully seated in an avocado. We shared the carnitas family platter and they are the best carnitas I have had since I left Denver. Great place!

The best Mexican I’ve had in Hanford. We got the Chile Colorado and chicken enchilada. Delicious.

Good food but horrible service! Food had good flavor and came quickly but we had to wait ten minutes for our drinks, had no silverware, and rarely saw a waiter or waitress. Overall it was disappointing.

Been eating here quite regularly lately. I honestly have to say that this is the best Mexican food around. At least in Hanford anyway.
We go there mostly because my wife loves their margaritas. Me? I love their carnitas! I’m a carnitas geek.
The service is excellent and friendly. Last night we ate here and I decided to get crazy and eat something different. I ordered the Baja Tacos.
Boy these did not disappoint. I’m getn hungry just mentioning them. Two tacos with nicely breaded fish fillets accompanied with awesome chipotle sauce and cabbage. I added some of their chile’ and dam it was off the hook. My wife had the posole. That too was tasty. Just to show u abt the service. Once we were there and my wife’s margarita was a little weak. I ask for a shot of tequila. So we could add it. The waitress just brought one and never made mention of it. Maybe no biggie to some people. But in this day of money hungry businesses. It nice to see this.
If you’re in town and want great Mexican food and great service. There’s no better place than El Tarasco! 5 stars for me!

I love the food. Had the taco enchilda combo. Came all the way from fresno and the service in hanford is horrible

A must! Been here a few times. But this day took the experience to an entirely different level. Stopped in a late lunch and chose the shredded chicken tacos. Missed an opportunity to snap a pic of these thickly filled tacos. To top it off, they have a full bar, or at least enough of a selection to provide a great palette cleansing whiskey. The staff is extremely professional, and the food served quickly.

Ordered the torta with carnitas. Good flavor and came with fries but they were a bit bland. A little bit on the expensive side.
Sat in the bar area and the servers were either too aggressive or not there when you needed them. Good number of TV’s to watch sports,

Unusually attentive tonight, maybe I should sit on the bar side more often. Food was plentiful, kept. My drinks full at all times, continually checked on me to see if I needed anything.
Boxed up left overs for me. Very polite, extremely friendly and attentive.
Three TVs in the bar area if you are a sports fan. Service was very prompt.
Prices a little on the high side.

Not the worst food but no flavor and lack of service.
When I got there it was a small place, more rectangular than square, something you would expect in downtown Hanford. We were presented with the regular chips and salsa, which were good and almost foolproof to mess up but salsa was good on my tongue since I hate spicy foods.
To me the menu they didn’t really offer much and the waitress was really not in the mood for conversating much just typical hurry up and order type. So I went with the wet burrito (with the help of Unilocal photos). The burrito let me tell you it was like eating nothing, no flavor. Not even salt and pepper did it justice since the red sauce tasted like cardboard and burrito like carpet. It was awful and I had to wash it down with tequila mixed drink which was WAY watered down also.
In my opinion the people who Unilocal this place and gave it 5 even 4 stars must be on drugs because I tasted a 2 star restaurant with no originality and love into their food.
Was it the worst? No. Will I return? No. I rate this place a 2.0
