Happy Honu was a nifty little store in Port Allen. We were heading up this way just to check out the little town and see what was going on. The stretch is rather cool, almost a «downtown-ish» feel. Very small but fun. We ended up in the store, scoping touristy and useful items for about 15 minutes. We opted to get a bottle opener for our beer fridge. They do have a lot of cool stuff and all reasonably priced(from what we looked at). Worth a stop if you are in the area!

Really nice owner– pretty great selection of clothing, sunblock and Hawaiian Instruments. There is a cooler that has a variety of beverages– no milk though. Great name and cute little Honu-sea turtle– to greet you in the front. Pretty good prices on tourist items.

This place had the biggest variety and the best prices not only of all the stores in the boat rental row of Eleele(the Port Allen Marina Center), but of the whole entire island. The workers are friendly. When I went to pay I was amazed as to how very thorough they were to intricately wrap all of the breakable purchased gift items. Excellent/Excellent/Excellent!

For my 500th review I find it was fitting for it to be one place I TOTALLYENJOYED while on my super relaxing vacation which included mayhem, tanning, watching my homie hook up with a local boy, scrumptious food, endless pineapples, sun screen and long drives in liquid sunshine Super cheap sarongs. I wish I could have bought the whole bin! This was a great pit stop after Captain Andy’s(see my other review). I bought some cigars for the bosses, a cute halter dress, a hat for dad and some sarongs. Small store but has tons of stuff to peruse through. Ana bought a pretty green dress… Ana NEVER wears dresses. Hawaii made her a beer drinking local with a green dress. A place to check out! If you need to use the potty– you go through here and turn to the right ladies! Another positive is they open early(partially to allow for bathroom usage, as well as any last minute buys before the boat tours)
