Organic flavored Hawaiian shave ice. Hanalei is our favorite town in Kauai, this is our favorite spot for shave ice! Island grown fruit flavored the ice and you get 1 topping free(coconut flakes, convo it cream, banana, honey, papaya, Starfruit, etc.) Must have during your stay. Warning! It will ruin all other shave ice.

This sweet little food truck has«organic» and non organic flavors. More expensive then other place and really tasty. We all really enjoyed our shave ices and the ladies in the truck were super nice and service was fast!

An extra star because they have fresh young coconut, which is awesome. That being said, their shaved ice is really substandard compared to some of the shaved ice we had in Kapaa and on Oahu. The ice is harder and not as flaky, the syrups are sickeningly sweet(we didn’t try the organic syrups because we were told they have a very light flavor), and the portions are small. Their $ 5 large is the size of a small elsewhere. (By comparison, on Oahu, we had a large that was literally triple the size of this one, and it was higher quality and better tasting. It’s the shaved ice place next door to Rainbow Drive-In.) Maybe this place has higher ratings bc options are lacking in the Princeville/Hanalei area?

Sooo good! We loved the organic fresh options! The lady making it was so friendly and had great customer service. There was a bit of a line, but totally worth it!

Very tasty Lots of choices Pick two flavors and one topping. Very flavorful I also like that it came in a waxed paper cup and a metal spoon. That made it Eco friendly. Sweet for my tummy and our planet. They also had a chicken named Richard.

I love this place, and so will you! It has excellent cold-brewed coffee and organic shave ice. There are coconuts and some other nice treats there as well. The service was super friendly, and the best part about it was NOLINE! Even with a bunch of people sitting down at the umbrella’d tables, I got my order in a few minutes. This is why I haven’t been able to get a TegeTege shave ice in over a year! Top this off that you can get a keiki(kid sized) shave ice so you can try it without gorging yourself. It’s super convenient, right in Hanalei and plenty of seating. Top notch food truck organic shave ice, and some mean coffee.

«Meh» pretty much sums it up. Seriously not sure why this place gets such high ratings. The shave ice is pricey and a lot of the flavors were crossed off of the menu board. You’ll get much better shave ice over at Ono in Kapaa if your willing to drive there.

I got the pineapple & salted plum shave ice with macadamia nut ice cream & my fiancé got the rainbow with macadamia nut ice cream. I loved the salted plum & we both were obsessed with the ice cream – so creamy & delicious! The only thing I would say is that this place is a bit pricy… but so is everything on the island :)

Probably one of the top places in the north shore for acai bowls. I had about half a dozen bowls from all over when I went there and they did a great job with portion size here too! The person who took my order and made my food was really sweet and I asked if I could sub out the bananas for the star fruit after I had already ordered and she was able to change that for me with a smile. Great customer service, and for a food truck I thought the look and the food was on point! They also have a fresh coconut that they can cut open for you to drink, I didn’t do that but i know some people are all about fresh coconut water!

Organic syrup with some original flavors. I got the mint mojito and ginger lemon. These 2 worked well together along with a nice snow cap. Didn’t find these unique flavors at any of the other places I went to, so it was special. If I could redo it, I’d skip the mint because I found the ginger lemon outstanding and it wasn’t overly sweet and was so refreshing. It’s definitely a bit steep at $ 8 each compared to how much more you’d get at other places. But you’re paying more because it’s organic and different from the other places. My girlfriend got the cherry and passion fruit with fresh papaya on it. She liked the other flavor and found the cherry didn’t work well with the papaya. Attached is the photo of hers. It’s a beautiful work of art!

OKAY this shave ice is sooooo good! The flavors we got were all house made and organic and delicious! Blue Hawaiian with passion fruit with coconut cream on top and that mac nut ice cream… To die for!!! The girl serving is great and friendly and we just loved this place. Wish we would have been staying on that side of Kauai because we would have been there every day. It’s pricey– we spent $ 30 on 2 shave ice so that’s a con but other than that go to this place, you will be so happy you did!

This is my favorite shave ice in Kauai! (The very best is from the master shave ice maker — behind the Big Save, Hawaiian Blizzard) Wishing Well is now our new favorite. They offer both organic home made syrups as wells as the traditional syrups(which are also homemade by Aaron the master shave ice maker and supplier to all shave ice places on the island) so anyway you choose works. Personally I like the traditional syrups because it doesn’t weigh down the ice like the slightly heavier organic ones, and it’s nostalgic and classic. What to look for. Amazing shave ice is the kind that melts in your mouth leaving no crunchy ice pieces in one bite. If you get crunchy ice pieces(hello it’s not a snow cone) that means the maker of the shave ice did not shave it fine enough to get that consistency. Humidity plays a big part in getting it right because the ice has to stay dry while being shaved. We also love all the other offerings in addition to the shave ice… acai bowls, coffee, etc. We love the brother/sister new owners who have taken this well loved spot to a whole new level. A MUST while in Kauai(in Hanalei).

July 2015 We ordered the shaved ice with two organic juices — banana and mango — and it was sublime. The shaved ice was perfectly complimented with a topping of fresh mango and passion fruit. This is the best shaved ice on Kauai.

Highly recommend shave ice at the Wishing Well! We came here on our last day of vacation(sniff), which also happened to be rainy and windy. The very nice girl working had just opened to receive a delivery, and had planned to close due to the weather. Luckily, we happened to pull up just in time and ordered our tasty treats. The Wishing Well makes their own organic syrups, no artificial flavors or colors, as well as stocking a variety of conventional flavors. I ordered an organic strawberry/key lime over macadamia nut ice cream, topped with coconut milk. It was shave ice perfection. My boyfriend ordered organic strawberry/coffee flavored shave ice, with coffee ice cream and coconut milk over the top. Also quite delicious. The portions weren’t humongous, but I’m a believer in quality over quantity, and the shave ice here didn’t disappoint. Wish we had time to go back!

We stopped here on the way to Tunnels beach. A cute little place to stop. Nice sitting area. And great shaved ice. Try the organic flavors. You will not be disappointed

I’ve never had shave ice before, but was wary since I don’t like snow cones. This place had a special – and more expensive – menu of organic flavors with real fruit juices. Recommended! It also had a conventional menu with flavors that include rainbow, something that will please your(inner) three-year-old. It is a food truck with a few tables adorned by rainbow umbrellas.

Meh… nothing special. No aloha here. Smaller servings than other places. Way less flavors… many were crossed off on the board… very limited choices. The ice was way too chunky… not soft and fine like most other places. This was thick and chunky almost like a snow cone. I’d pass by this place and try the next one up the road… and either way you are driving you will pass a better shave ice place within 1 to 5 minutes!

Made another stop yesterday afternoon at Wishing Well for some shaved ice, and am going to say that these guys probably have ‘the best’ shaved ice on Kauai. The mango ice with organic mango & coconut cream topping is a hands-down winner. The special– coffee coco cream– is definitely worth a try a too.

Loved the shaved ice!!! We tried pineapple, cherry, blue vanilla and guava combinations. All were excellent and the shaded park benches are perfect to enjoy them on. I must say, their containers make sense. We tried the shaved ice in the Princeville Shopping center and their containers tipped over twice on two separate days. Great spot, worth checking out.
