I was in HMB yesterday and came across this store which is unlike most of the run-​of-​the-​mill African art stores that typically carry knock-​offs and fake junk. These are the REAL things, including (as the last reviewer noted) many fertility objects. I had a newly constructed wall in my home that was begging for ‘just the right’ art and after two hours in this store, I came home with the PERFECT pieces that were not only beautiful, but filled with pathos and ethnographic meaning. Highly recommend this place to anyone interested in true African art.

Oh. My. God.
If you have a thing for GIGANTIC WOODEN PENISES, then this is the store for you. They have a lot of other cool stuff (mostly African art, carvings, stoneware, jewelry, etc) but I guarantee that if you make it through this store, the one thing that will burn into your memory will be the huge dick carvings. I swear, these things are ridiculous. If you’re in the back room and you come upon one, the lady at the front of the store will start laughing even though she can’t see you because she will hear your reaction. So yeah… fun store… bring your camera.
