Colors of the Coast Gallery & Gift Shop

We had just visited the Johnston House Holiday Boutique. I had noticed some nice paintings, but didn’t buy any. When we walked around Main Street in Half Moon Bay, we passed this shop which had the paintings, so we decided to check it out.
This shop is beautiful featuring the artwork of Ellen Joseph. We normally don’t hang out in shops like this because we often can’t afford a painting or have the space for one, but the shop had the «scenes» on jewelry (pendants), mugs, mouse pads, and business card cases, just to name a few. So there were plenty of options to choose from especially if you’re on a budget. I decided to buy two necklaces (2 pendants, 1 chain) and the price for both were less than $ 80 with tax. Not too bad.
If you like to support local artists, love scenes of coastlines, California poppies, oceans, or sunsets then come to this shop. The interior is spacious and the woman behind the counter was friendly and basically, left us alone to browse but was observant to notice when we needed her assistance. The shop wasn’t «intimidating» and that helped me make my purchase.
Yes, we’ll definitely come back the next time we are in Half Moon Bay.

This place is awesome! Ellen is very talented and can showcase the coast like no one else. She incorporates seascapes and landscapes. She has painted up and down the coast and she even has a great map of spots where she painted on location! She now is at 521 Main Street at her gallery called Colors of the Coast!
