I always look forward to going to this place! The staff is super nice. Every scone I have tried is delicious, especially the fruit scones with lemon. I also really liked the breakfast burrito! When I have more time I’m going back to get native plants!

Nice place, not so great on the food and drink. Very peaceful atmosphere and kind staff, but the spinach breakfast wrap was really just O.K., and the chai was fairly bland and lukewarm at best.

This place has a great ambiance, but their coffee and food is mediocre. The chai was pretty good, but my second time back got a regular drop coffee and it tasted burnt. Ordered the oatmeal and it was pretty bland, u can get extras on it but r charged for every little addition. My mom got the coffeecake and it was a little dry. It is a nice place to just sit and have a chai tho. And their prices r fairly reasonable.

This coffee shop has almost everything you would dream of having; music, a great garden to sit in, amazing baked goods, outstanding coffee, and native plants to peruse while you’re there. It is a great place, but I’m taking away one star for the less than friendly teenage service and the mediocre cooked breakfasts. Otherwise, it’s one of the best places in HMB to relax and enjoy outstanding baked goods and coffee.

This place is so bright and airy. I love the vibe here. I spent a few long breakfast/brunch times here and really love the fresh made baked goos. The pies and quiches are super and the sweets are delicious. The service is great and seems to be very connected to the community. Nice layout and the nursery is a nice twist. You can walk through the plants with your coffee after a nice meal and really enjoy it. Thanks so much.

This past weekend I was camping over at the beach and woke up on Saturday morning craving cinnamon buns. I’d heard great things about this place, so I got in my car and headed over to Blue Sky Farms. Well what a disappointment it was to find that they were closed all weekend! Normally, I wouldn’t leave a 1 star review because of this, but it’s actually the third time this has happened to me at this place. Every freaking time I have tried to stop by they have been closed. There’s no mention on the website of the closures; just a tiny sign on the gate you have to pull up in the parking lot to read. Seriously, though every time I have tried to come here, they have been closed. Lame, lame, lame! I don’t think I’ll try my luck again.

Stopped by here on a whim based on amazing Unilocal reviews and loved it! The scones and coffee cake were delectable! The owners are so funny and down-to-earth and everything there is a bargain. If I lived closer, I’d come every weekend!

This is a nice morning coffee place for people living around the Moss Beach/El Granada area. Coffee is a bit better here than the few other coffee shops dotting Cal 1 between Pacifica and HMB, in my humble opinion. The reason I’ve been popping in more regularly are the yummy gluten-free breakfast breads. Anyone avoiding gluten knows it is pretty difficult to find a GF bread that won’t either fall to pieces or have some freaky non-bread consistency. Blue Skies has found a local baker who’s found the secret. Today, I enjoyed a blueberry /yoghurt breakfast square — and it was moist and tasty: all those things I remembered fondly about bread, lo, so many months ago… There’s usually live music on Sunday mornings — and I try to avoid that. The acoustics don’t lend well to the noise, and generally the sparse seating is all taken during these musical misadventures. On pretty days, however, sitting outside with your dog can be a really nice way to start your day. Blue Skies is also a nursery selling a nice selection of plants including bonsai, so it’s fun to browse as well.

This place is very good. Nice owners and employees. Great rich cappuccinos and fresh food. Home made scones and parties. Indoor outdoor seating. Easy parking. If I lived here I would be back all the time.

Beautiful setting and delish coffee/treats. I am giving three stars because I went looking for a work area(laptop, wifi, power outlets, etc.) and was unsuccessful. This is a great place to catch up with friends or enjoy the sunshine over a delish breakfast burrito, not to work on a laptop IMO.

Delicious coffee. Fabulous pastries, especially the cinnamon rolls. Setting is so peaceful, especially when they have live music in the garden patio seating area on weekends. Taking away one star because the service(on weekends) seems a bit harried and not very thoughtful. We ordered some eggs and omelets, and when the server brought them out to our table, he kind of threw the plates on the table. I mentioned that we needed silverware, and he said, «You get that inside.» What? Why not tuck a few forks and napkins in your pocket? Or have a container outside? Or if those options aren’t possible, why not mention when we ordered at the counter«Hey, grab your silverware before you sit down»? Or, why not simply graciously bring us some silverware so we don’t have to miss the music performance? These are not bargain prices… I think for these prices, they should think more about how to really make a friendly experience for patrons. Would love to give 5 stars, and will definitely revisit. If the service has improved, I’ll revise the stars.

What a lovely little spot. Personable owners and staff. Café built to last surrounded by native plant nursery. Beautiful Ken Sai bonsai available too. Breakfast and coffee stop for us. We had baked French toast and vegetable frittata with toast. Menu is small but covers the basics and baked goods are lovely. Gluten free folks can get Gf toast and usually one baked good offering. They do airpot coffee and have an espresso machine as well howeer its more about the food. Sundays they have a bit of live music from a few local musicians. It is just a short walk to the beach to work off any calories consumed. Update: as of 12-13-2014 the owners have retired and Blue Sky is for sale: so if you went and had the experience(good for you), I was sad to see them close but alas the food business is hard and I guess they deserve a break! Thanks for your efforts.

Healthy beautiful plants, yes, but I go for the healthy delicious food. Simple health-conscience(ingredients and portions) dining in a picnic setting(outside or inside). Their attention to quality and little details – like the jam served with toast – impress, and the relaxing environment sometimes includes enjoyable live entertainment. Highly recommend for breakfast.

Cute little outdoor area where you can enjoy the Sun and plants. I have only been here once, and got the Caramel Latte, which was delicious. Couldn’t really investigate the menu because I had to tie my dog outside and he was freaking out that he wasn’t with me. Can’t wait to go back here and try other stuff on their menu.

Drip coffee and a walk through the nursery. Just off HWY1, easy enough for a quick stop. Food looked good enough if you think you can handle the hipster teen servers making it.

Awesome location and walking distance to the beach. Also located next to a few nothing fancy restaurants if you want something to eat not on their menu. Beverages: Brewed coffee is excellent(they substitute Americanos for brewed coffee in the afternoons). I got here too late for the breakfast fare but they have some hearty looking scones including sweet and savory flavors. Ambiance: perfect temperature inside with plenty of natural sunlight and a breeze through the windows. Plenty of seating and at least 6 outlets along the wall for us working types. Outside there is a lot of vegetation so super pretty view. Decorations are eclectic yet neat; a mix of americana, local art, awards, posters and books. Bonuses: They play good reggae! Free WiFi!

Sometimes I’m generous with 4 and 5 star reviews, but this is literally one of the nicest coffee/breakfast places I’ve ever been to. First off, you arrive and it looks like a garden nursery on the outside and a farmhouse on the inside. I’d want my house to look like this!(if I could afford something more than a cardboard box in the Bay Area) I ordered an iced mocha and oatmeal to have some energy for a bike ride later in the day. The oatmeal was substantial and had great toppings like dried blueberries for just $ 0.25 extra! I saw some scones on display that were literally as big as my head and looked just as good. My mocha was very good too. The place isn’t open often, but that makes the appeal that much more.

I didn’t feel like spending $ 36 on a bowl of berries at the Ritz down the road, so I looked up a local breakfast spot. Blue Sky Farms caught my eye. It has a café feel inside a quite charming barn. I got there around 11 am and they were out of fresh baked pastries. After ordering inside, I decided to sit outside since the weather was really nice. I started my breakfast with a cup of hot Mexican mocha. It was delicious! It wasn’t too sweet and it had a nice little kick from the cinnamon and chili. Of the three dishes that I had sampled, I liked the breakfast sandwich the most. The wheat bread was crunchy and the veggies(tomato and lettuce) were fresh. This was the first time I saw a frittata inside a sandwich. It worked. Did I mention there was bacon in it? You can’t go wrong with bacon. The baked French toast was ok. It had an eggy smell and was slightly sweet. I ordered it with banana which was probably a good idea. Otherwise, it would’ve been a bit plain. The breakfast burrito was good. The salsa gave it a little more flavor and added some extra moisture, not that it needed it because the egg inside was fluffy. I would definitely be back if I were in the area. The menu is pretty simple. Prices were very reasonable and portions were good. Service was friendly. Unilocalers, go and support your local businesses!

Cute place to make a pit stop on your Hwy1 drive along the water. Good coffee — $ 1 for drip if you bring your own cup/travel mug. Can’t beat that. They’ve got some tables/chairs set up indoors but you’d want to spend your time outside on the picnic tables in their garden area. Lots of plants/flowers for sale. No complaints here. :)
