I used to like this little stand but after my experience today I will never go back. I stopped with my two young children on our way home and they were so excited to get hot dogs and lemonade. We ordered, and waited in the sun for about 15 minutes for the woman to make our food. After she did that I handed her my credit card. She looked at me and said oh we can’t take that. I have been there before and had no issues, and there are stickers indicating that they take credit cards. I asked why she didn’t say that before I ordered and she said that she didn’t know I had a card. She offered to try but told me the machine wasn’t working earlier. She tried and it didn’t work. My order was $ 16 and I had $ 8 in cash(I never carry cash). She told me I could walk to the atm and come back. At that point I was so over her attitude that I told her that it wasn’t an acceptable option. Her response– you mean you won’t walk over to that atm(I have no idea which atm she was talking about) and get cash out to pay for this. I said no. Then she told me I should just pay for the lemonades and not buy the hot dogs. Ha know what– that stand deserved none of my money, and that is what they got, and that’s what they will get in the future. If you have a known problem accepting a form of payment you need to advertise that, and you most certainly shouldn’t have an attitude with a customer when you make that mistake. Now I assume my kids’ hot dogs are in the trash and they lost a customer.

About a 1 – 1.5: Hutz Hot Dogs is located at the intersection of Sulphur Spring Road and Oregon Avenue. Run by Dena Bayne, she decided to open a hot dog business in the town of Arbutus back in July ’11, across from the Eskimo Shack snowball place. The menu offers regular hot dogs, Polish, Kosher hot dogs, customizable options for toppings(chili, cheese, sauerkraut, jalapenos, cole slaw, BBQ sauce, Thousand Island dressing, and bacon), Slaw Dog, Reuben, Border Dog, Texas Dog, and nachos. I tried their famous Slaw Dog, which came topped with chili and cole slaw, as well as their freshly-squeezed lemonade to wash it all down. The Slaw Dog was pretty disappointing, as the dog that was used was not of good quality(the color was off, too!) — the cole slaw was runny, and both the slaw and the chili had no flavor(!). The lemonade, fortunately, was refreshing and more on the sweeter end. I think I should have opted for either the kosher dog or the Polish for a substitute instead of the mystery-meat dog that they normally use… T___T The price of the dog was a little pricey, considering the size of the dogs and the location of the place! +mystery meat dog? +runny cole slaw T____T +bland chili T___T +good lemonade +located across from Eskimo Shack

This small roadside shack is definitely a good find. I had 2 Slaw Dogs and the Hotdog itself was average but the Coleslaw was really good. A little hole in the wall with big flavor. Prices are great and will surely be back.

My daughter and I stopped here on the way to Wynnewood pool over the summer and it was great! I got us each a hot dog and a large strawberry lemonade. The lemonade was the best I’ve ever had with fresh strawberries in it. The woman working was very polite and the prices are great.

This hot dog stand just opened on the corner of Oregon Ave and Sulphur Spring Rd in Arbutus, MD. I just had the Slaw Dog and a large lemonade. The ;lemonade is excellent. The Slaw Dog, I should have gotten 2. I will go back for more.
