I would give Dr. Gu 10 million stars if I could! After a long streak of having the worst physicians on the face of the earth who lack compassion, courtesy, and care skills, I stumbled across an advertisement about a new doctor in town: Dr. Wendy Gu. Since I despised my previous physician so much I thought anyone would be a better option… and boy was I right. In fact. Dr. Gu exceeded my expectations in every way!
She has so much energy every time I see her. She always, first and foremost, asks how you are doing. She doesn’t rush anyone to leave. She stops to asks questions to make sure she gets every detail down. She makes eye contact and makes sure you know she’s listening. She has, by far, the best bedside manner I’ve seen so far from any physician I’ve seen. This is what physician-​patient interaction should be like all the time.
What sets her far apart from other physicians is that she extends beyond being a doctor. Instead of feeling strictly like a patient, I feel like I’m a friend. She is more than willing to give advice on things other than what you came in for, which I greatly appreciate.
Something else that is rare nowadays is that she actually even personally calls her patients! I literally just got off the phone with her. She truly cares about all her patients’ health and makes sure you remember to get any shots or tests done. I always tell people how awesome she is.
She sets a great example for both current and future physicians. If there were more people like her, the world would definitely be a much better place!

I’ve been seeing Dr. Wendy Gu for a few months now, a total of three times. All my times I’ve visited, I’m happy. First, I get a same day appointment, this makes me very happy and its convenient. The staff is very nice and helpful. Dr. Wendy shares her office with three other MDs. The times I’ve seen her, she is very pleasant, very nice, friendly and appears to be in a good mood, always. She takes her time to talk about your symptoms and discuss possible diagnosis. She also listens to what you are saying! Very important since in my experience most MDs didn’t. She takes the appropriate route and makes the necessary referrals. She is youthful and has a different approach than some of the old school doctors I’ve had. I plan on holding on this MD. Highly recommend her.
