They were really helpful up until they tried to sell me expired noodles when they couldn’t find non-expired ones. Even gave me $ 5 off for the expired ramen lol. I’m gonna stick with 99 ranch thanks.

Produce is cheap AND questionable in quality — found some squishy and overly ripe cherries in my bag, celery was meh flavored with stringy debris in my teeth, and bagged mini-carrots had some that were soggy/rotten, split open carrots(left in the sun?), or just dry(I guess you got the entire spectrum of quality in that bag). I guess you cannot have it all(the price AND quality, that is). I am comparing this to Trader Joe’s — I never thought I’d say, «Wow, that was a good piece of celery,» but I most certainly did when I bit into celery I purchased at Trader Joe’s and now my experience with them is validated ten-fold after my celery extravaganza at HK Market. Don’t get me wrong, I find the soggy cherry at TJ’s too, but not nearly as often as I did with my bag at HK. And carrots? They are fucking PERFECT at TJs… seriously. I was a little embarrassed to serve my fruit and veggie snack to my guests the other day, but I was pressed for time and did not have the extra 10 minutes to drive to TJs over the hill in Whittier(although now I sort of regret it). Three stars overall because they have what I need when I need it and I don’t have to drive to 99 Ranch down near Colima/Azusa or further into Rowland Heights.

OK, so this supermarket is clean, have live seafood selection etc. The real question is… will they survive the curse? Since the first supermarket here remodeled(Ralphs), every market thereafter has gone out of business.

Fresh Seafood! And they’re huge! :) Probably cleanest, most organized and spacious Asian Market I’ve so far ever been to in the whole 626. Great place to get some fresh live seafood — crabs, calms, shrimps. And frozen bass! We got ½lb of shrimps which = 3 shrimps. They were pretty big. And we got one with egggggsss! :) YUM!

Great service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I can ALWAYS find what I am looking for here. This place is one of the cleanest Chinese supermarkets I have been to. Hopefully this one actually stays around.

I am writing a good review because I want this place to STAY. Stay, I say! I am sick of supermarkets closing in this plaza because of its supposedly inconvenient location, but given that this supermarket is right by my house, I really would like for it to stay. Their café is good! You can get 3 items for $ 5! That’s a bargain! and the produce here is always fresh and consistently cheaper than its competitor(99 ranch) down the street on azusa/colima.

LIVECRABWARNING!!! I’m always happy when a supermarket is honest enough to admit they are irresponsible and THANKGAWD the consequences will take care of themselves! That’s a relief. FYI. The pork belly here is cheap and awesome. I love this place.

This place is clean… like really clean… I had to keep checking to make sure I was in a Chinese market. Prices were pretty good though they don’t have as good of a selection of snacks as a typical Chinese market. Odd location since its so deep into Hacienda Heights. I never knew it existed until I drove by randomly.

This market is amazing!!! It is clean, very well stocked and a ton a variety in items. I initially stopped at 99 Ranch Market in Rowland Heights and could barely find a parking space. Then, I decided to go up to HK Market in Hacienda Heights, what a difference!!! Plenty of parking and no shoving in the aisles. I could actually take a leisurely stroll through the market without getting disturbed. I don’t understand why more people don’t shop here??? Also, they have great prices! The Kabocha pumpkin was 10 cents/lb. cheaper than at 99 Ranch. It’s worth the trip to shop here!

If you have never ever seen a clean and new supermarket you should come to this one! Hong Kong Supermarket is located in Hacienda Heights and is brand spanking new. The floors are amazingly clean and just seeing everything soo new makes me happy and smiley ! The top of the aisles has what is in each row and the style that they use remind me of when I was little and went to supermarkets with my parents. It is almost like a time warp when coming in here. Everything is new but the way it is and style is sort of old. But it isn’t a bad thing at all! I like how when you walk inside you can see little vendors to the sides and then you walk into the market. The fish and seafood is all the way towards the back and they had plenty of variety to choose from. Also they have really great specials going on from a variety of different foods to choose from so it’s a really great deal to come in and check it out!

Great new market. Aisles are clean, everything I needed in stock, plus they have an awesome live seafood section!
