One of the best donut places with one of the nicest people. Donuts are fresh, soft inside and a bit crunchy outside, and just right. Definitely one of my comfort foods(Hey! Donuts are foods too!!!)

This place is great. I stopped by around 9:30PM, well after their posted closing hours of 9PM, and the friendly gentleman behind still took my order despite the fact that he was cleaning up and about to leave. He even put an extra donut in the assorted dozen that I ordered(I’m guessing to make a bakers dozen). A dozen donuts are $ 7.75 and there is a $ 5 minimum if you want to use a credit card without paying an additional credit card fee. Do note that bear claws are 80 cents extra so if you get those in your dozen, you’ll be paying slightly more but it’s well worth the extra cost. The quality of the donuts are fantastic. The’re all homemade and very fresh, especially in the mornings. This place has been around for so long that my grandparents used to come here often, which should serve as a testimony to how good the donuts are.

I went on a Monday morning at around 9 am, and it was pretty busy with some people sitting around, drinking coffee and eating donuts. Despite this, I waited less than a minute before I was helped and I picked up a dozen donuts for $ 7.75, no tax. I picked up a variety of donuts and checked out really quickly. The girl who helped me – I didn’t catch her name, unfortunately – was also really nice throughout the whole process. To top it off, when I got home, I was pleasantly surprised to see that she had given me an extra donut so I had 13 instead of 12! All in all, great experience. My favorite donut was the raspberry fill.

They sell donuts. It’s exactly what you’d expect. I grew up in the area, back when the city was nothing but dirt and everyone was white. The donut king is still as it was 20 years ago. This place is so nostalgic when I visit; I don’t come that often. Donuts are homemade, regulars still come in to read the daily newspaper and drink diner quality coffee, talk about sports, share a table, and my foreign guests like it(surprisingly). Ride your bicycle to here before the sun rises when there are less cars on the road, pit stop for food, visit the park to enjoy your morning brew and donut as a snack once the sun rises. Then go back home for a rejuvenating start to the day! I like the chocolate bar, glazed twist, plain donut, sprinkled donut, and chocolate milk.

I’ve been a customer of Donut King since I can no longer remember when! What keeps me coming back is the way they serve their coffee. It’s always served the way I wanted it to be. And don’t let me get started with their classic glazed donuts. It. Is. Huge. And. Tastes. Amazing.

New owners: not as generous as previous. Was given free donuts late night. Glazed donuts were the best anywhere: big, puffy and glorious. Now, just like others. Sorry!

Awesome donut place! Lots of cake donuts. I like the fact that he serves coffee with ice cubes made out of coffee so when the ice melts you don’t lose the coffee flavor!

Stopped by this place for the first time tonight. It’s down the street, so it’s very convenient. But best of all, they’re delicious! The man behind the counter was really helpful and very nice. I grew up going to a different shop in the area, but found these to be tastier. I didn’t get that greasy after-taste that I get with other donuts. The shop itself is small and very clean. There’s plenty of parking, so it’s easy to get in and get out. Long story short, I’m a fan!

Fresh fresh FRESH! I came at 6am in the morning and I swear those donuts must’ve just come out the oven. Probably the best batch of donuts I’ve ever had in my life! They are nice and fluffy and warm and just so good. The donuts had the perfect consistency. The ones with fillings were also perfect, the filling was not too sweet and overpowering, just right! Also the owner slipped a few extra donuts in my dozen. What a cool guy! I highly recommend this shop for high quality great tasting donuts!

Oh, good olé Donut King. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and the owners are always super friendly. Donuts are fresh, delicious, and priced well, AND, I almost always get a free donut. Who doesn’t love free things? I know I do! My go-to order is an old fashioned glazed and chocolate french cruller. SO good. Love this place!

Love this place! It has been here since I have been born! I believe these are the same owners, mom and pop kind is feel. I love all of their donuts! I would suggest the cheese jalapeño croissant. Delicious! If you are going for the traditional donut, I’d go with their old fashioned.

Average donut shop. Everything was fresh. No complaints, but nothing stood out either. Thumbs up, but as always let me know what you think.

This has become my go to place for«bear claw» donuts when I’m in the mood. They’re a mom & pop run store, and have been around for quite a while, serving up fresh donuts and they sell out pretty quick! I went there hoping and praying for a bear claw because. I’m a fattie and I need these things, but anyway — I get there and they had ONELEFT! THANKGOODNESS! They usually they sell out by 9 or 10am(bear claw speaking), and are 70−80% of the time down to their last 20−35% of inventory by 2 or 3pm(all donuts). Typically, Donut King has sales for people who buy«in bulk» and by that definition, you should buy in numbers ranging within the dozens. The deal is good for ALL donuts! :) Just an important note for people who are very keen on saving their money: Anything under $ 5 is 0.50 charge if you use your credit card. Overall, if you want to try a good bear claw, and know for a fact that you’d need to travel farrrrr away to get a good bear claw elsewhere(I’m speaking for people who live around the area, don’t get smart: P) then you should definitely try out Donut King! They’ll put a crown on your tummy!.. I mean, I don’t know if they do but if they did, I think it’d be hilarious. anyone? Anyone? Meep.

Manager is sooo nice & friendly. Donuts are fresh, he has a big variety. Make sure your purchase is over $ 5.00 to use a credit card or there is a .50 cent charge. So bring cash if you can. Friendly vibe. Great tea selection and variety of beverages as well. Overall I’d perfer this place over Krispy Kremes anyday!!!

They make great blended ice mochas here and add a real shot to each drink! The donuts here are made daily and taste fresh and light. Donut shops are a dying breed in this area but this one is a keeper!

There are two kinds of people in this world, those who like airy confections and those who love the dense cakey kind. I am definitely the second. If you are the same you will appreciate these scrumptiously made donuts. If you get here early enough you will get to enjoy the freshly baked goodness and my personal favorite, the sprinkled! Oh man talk about a near perfect donut. I have to say I can relate to none other than Homer himself when I come in here. The apple fritter is another superstar here at donut king. This place is in the strip mall on Colima and manor gate right next to the flower shop. It’s clean and the service is always nice and fast. If you haven’t stopped in give them a try. You will not regret :)

Is the display half empty or half full? My sis was craving some donuts so we searched for a nearby mom and pop donut shop. Donut King was one of the top results so we checked if they were open. The display case was half filled with an assortment of yummy dough goodies. It was around 8pm after all and they weren’t making more. We were greeted with a friendly hello. We opted for a dozen donuts. My sister craved the jelly filled kind so we decided to order one of each available flavors they had left: raspberry, strawberry, lemon, and of course my personal favorite blueberry. We also got some boston crème, good ‘olé powder and sugar, chocolate bar, maple bar, and apple fritter. The donuts are bigger compared to your regular run of the mill donuts. And they taste even better than they look! The filled donuts contained delicious jellies that weren’t too overly sweet and complemented the dough perfectly. A little disappointed when I found out the lemon wasn’t in the box and we got two strawberries instead — one glazed, one powdered. The maple bar tasted like pancake. If you add whipped cream to the chocolate bar, it seems like it would taste just like an éclair. We’ll definitely come back again!

Donut King has always been the go-to place for donuts. Even after Krispy Kreme came in with all its fanfare, Donut King was the neighborhood joint(unless you were headed the other direction, then Christy’s is the place to go!). Service here is great, the smells are always wonderful(like any donut shop), and the prices have always been reasonable.

This donut shop my go to place when I’m craving a great donut. This Donut King has no affiliation with other Donut Kings so beware of imitator’s! The donuts are reasonable $ 7.25 a dozen including tax. What usually are considered fancy donuts elsewhere are included in their dozen which is 13 donuts. These tasty morsels are so large it’s impossible to get two dozen in a box and the boxes are over-sized! Check these gems out: The owner here an Asian male who’s always here, friendly and gladly accepts credit cards. I’m definitely a fan here and my clients heart them too. Dam I’m craving one of these now just posting this review!

Krispy Kreme, Please step yo ass aside! Cause theirs a new King in town! So what’s the best way to cancel out your workout that you just did? Going on a Donut run! That’s how! And it was WORTH it. I was actually their just a few hours ago! The owner(I think he was the owner. well just to be safe I’ll say the cashier) was really friendly. I ordered a dozen(Like I always do. lol) But I wasn’t too sure what to get so I just asked for an assorted selection. He even threw in a few extra cause it was close to closing time. Once I got to my car, I could smell the delicious donuts through the box. So I knew FORSUUURE I had to eat one right there. Tasted grrrrreat! not too sweet. They got the donut recipe correct over here! Price: For a dozen it cost me 5.75 Parking: Easy to find parking. I guess the only thing that Krispy Kreme has on Donut King is that it is open 24 hours. But other than that, if you’re having a donut craving before 9, HITTHISPLACEUP! Will I be back? Hell yeah! They should make Donut King shirts! I would rock it with pride! lol
