All I can say is SHARE A SMALLPIZZA. I got a small cheese pizza and my husband got a medium meat lovers and BBQ. We were so full after just one slice. If we could do it all over we would have shared a small! I feel like I’m never going to be hungry again. The atmosphere was chill in the restaurant. Very cute well décor as well. Our server was very sweet and got us our food in a timely manner(even though it takes 40 minutes to cook a deep dish!) Our bill came to $ 55.00. Next time it will be a lot less because we will never order that much food again!

Flying in from California, my hotel recommended Giordano’s as the place to go get typical deep dish. Is it the best of the best? Probably not over a local mom n’ pop shop who know the names of all their normals, but as an out of towner it was the pizza I probably needed as the bunny slopes to my deep dish journey. I ordered a custom pie with broccoli, ground beef, and garlic. The portions were generous of course, as I imagine it would be hard to skimp on such a concoction of dough and cheese. The staff here was great at accommodating my dietary restrictions and went above and beyond to make sure my pizza was tailored and customized perfectly. Speaking of service, it may have been a bit slow, but staff was friendly and attentive overall. Often times, I think diners attribute slow to lazy, but I think the speed had to do with the cooking times and number of staff on hand. If anything, I thought my servers were quick to follow up. This spot also benefits by being in a good shopping locale, so I was able to walk off a bit of the food afterwards. 4⁄5 for food and friendliness, with room for improvement in floor logistics.

First time in Illinois, so I was told that I MUST try deep dish pizza, I mean it’s what Chicago is famous for right? So my first stop was Giordano’s. Let me tell you, being from California our way of pizza is very different. This pizza was SOHUGE! Deep dish with tons of veggies and cheese filling! I loved the flavor of the crust and sauce. This was definitely a pizza not to be taken lightly, as I was only able to eat 1 slice! I also tried Lou Malnati’s while I was in Chicago and Giordano’s won in my opinion, the crust just had more flavor to me. The house salad was dee-lish as well! If I ever went back to Chi-town, I would mos def come back here again!

Service was awesome! Very attentive servers, wish I knew our servers name to give him a shoutout because he was amazing! The food was also very tasty. Don’t forget the desert, I highly recommend the tiramisu.

Someone recommended this place to me and I went here when I was in town for my wife’s Navy boot camp graduation. I’m so glad I did. Best deep dish pizza I have ever had. I was definitely impressed. I drove 12 hours to get to Great Lakes, got the pizza to go before I even got to my hotel, and I’m glad I did. It was well worth the wait. The next time I’m in Great Lakes I’ll be sure to eat here again.

Very sad when you are sitting down for 10 mins and no one comes and serves you. Until you ask for a server. The worst part is that our server saw us get seated.

We were here on a rainy weeknight. We picked it because it was conveniently near the AT&T where we spent three hours getting phones, and we were very hungry! There were only two or three other tables of diners, and we only saw one carry-out customer. We were immediately greeted by a server(Carlos) who is both attentive and has a sense of humor. We ordered pizza a decline apps and salads, but he wisely left the menu on the table. We later reconsidered and got the Greek salad to tide us over. It was excellent! It had heirloom tomatoes, lovely triangles of feta, olives, red onions and other veggies. The three of us split the salad, and Carlos provided side plates for each of us. One thing that most impressed me that night was the respect the staff members had for each other and they ways they invisible worked together as a super team. When one needed hep the others seemed to know and magically appeared to assist — without even asking or talking. The deep dish cheese pizza was well-cooked and flavorful, although in some bites the crust had an off flavor like an ingredient hadn’t gotten blended in well — a slightly chemical taste like baking soda or a dough conditioner perhaps. When we had eaten our fill of the pizza, Carlos offered two containers for leftovers, so my daughter could take some to her place, too. Again, the thoughtfulness was impressive and sincere. We have only been here two or three times in the past five years. It just has never been top of mind even though we live nearby. But I am pushing now to return more often. It was a very enjoyable evening, and I am looking forward to the food and service again soon.

Tried the pizza three times and was disappointed EVERY time. Deep dish had uncooked crust/dough — and raw sausage! Tried the«traditional classic» — raw dough, soggy, WAY too much cheese(covered all the toppings) and not enough sauce = a very DRY pizza. Awful. You would think with their reputation and money spent on advertising that they would offer a decent pizza. I know many people like Giordano’s but we will never go again.

I love their lasagna more than their pizza. Not a fan of the soggy crust. I come back because of the lasagna.

I love the food and ambience. It is worth the 10 minutes we had to wait. I bit longer wait to get the food but you can’t rush good food. The restaurant is clean and our waitress was very friendly and in the ball. I would definitely come again.

If you’re looking for the best deep dish pizza near Great Lakes, IL, you will find it here. The pizza does take some time to cook(45 minutes), but it was worth every second of waiting. From buttery, flaky crust to gooey fresh cheeses, this«pizza lasagna» as my mother-in-law called it was everything I had hoped for in my first deep dish pizza experience. It was quite filling as well, the two of us couldn’t even finish a small pizza. The service was ok, but the pizza itself was 10/10, would definitely recommend.

I should start by saying that the one-star review is in reference to the service, and not the food. The pizza has been consistently good! My husband and I ate here last night and had terrible service. He purposely chose Giordano’s because the pizza takes a while to make and he wanted to sit, chat and have some beers. He only had one before the pizza arrived(which is roughly 45 minutes after you order) because the waitress never checked back in. I finally saw her walk by, so I flagged her down and asked her if she could get him a drink. She casually said«yeah» and walked away like it was a nuisance. When the pizza was delivered, my drink was empty and she didn’t offer to refill. She asked if she could serve our first piece, and when I said yes, she held her hand out and stared at me(waiting for me to hand her my plate). She was so unpleasant, that we didn’t stay to eat a second piece or get another drink. I don’t know why that sort of personality is in the service industry, but it sure makes the experience suck. Also, looking through the reviews– it seems the bad service is an ongoing and consistent issue at this location. There isn’t a single management response to the negative reviews either, which shows a lack of interest in improvement.

We stopped in while in the area for our son’s graduation from Navy boot camp. We were jonesing for some Chicago deep dish pizza, and these guys didn’t disappoint! We ordered a classic deep dish. Being from Washington state, we had no idea that the sauce comes on top. OMG! We were wishing we had more time to go again. I guess we’ll have to make another visit to the windy city. Just for the pizza!

The worst, zero stars if possible. We waited 25 minutes just to get drinks and order food, our soup also came very late into the order process. I understand it’s a Friday night but really, miscommunication about which server has which table? We will not give this place a try ever again.

This place is good but is not to die for. I like how homey it is and the waitress was very nice. You have to wait about 45 minutes if you want deep-dish pizza. My group got the meaty meat one. Our group had to be separated though… If we wanted to sit(6 of us) together, then it would be another 45 minutes just to sit.

I ordered a couple of pizzas, salad, and pop for pick-up. The thin crust and stuffed pizzas were both good. Ingredients were fresh tasting. It was ready in 45 minutes as promised. Pricing is on par with other pizza places. They were nice enough to help me carry everything to the car. This location is in a strip mall and easy to get in/out of & easy to find parking.

Please Never order from here. 2nd time we tried this place and the pizza dough was raw and so was the sausage. The manager on duty was less than helpful. We ordered the pizza at 420 for pick up. Wasn’t ready until 535. Got it home and it was barely even warm and the dough was raw as well as the sausage. Try Lou’s. Always great pizza.
