For some reason, my general indifference to the overhyped(and, I suspect, soon-to-subside) froyo craze hasn’t stopped me from reviewing them. Maybe that’s because, every now and then, a good one stands out among the mediocrities. In this case, I suspect that The Yogurt Shoppe is fighting valiantly against the better known Ella’s just a football’s throw away. Ella’s has the prettier name, the splashy cotton-candy interior, and abundant outdoor seating; but the Yogurt Shoppe offers a noticeably superior product. Rare is the froyo place where I can pump more than one flavor into a bowl and actual distinguish it. Usually it’s like trying to tell the difference between Splenda and Stevia. But in this case, I really felt like I was getting honey almond, kahlua, and caramel pretzel. Sure, the toppings are nothing spectacular(always a shame when fresh fruit is in short supply) but the service was particularly personable, making up for the dull interior. Don’t let the carnival atmosphere at Ella’s drown out the worthy competition!

This place is by far my favorite. I had my first frozen yogurt there and I was hooked. I love that they don’t add sugar to some if their products. And they are mostly fat free. It was 45 cents and ounce which is supper cheap. The owners are supper nice and they remember you.

This is one of my boyfriends and I’s favorite places to go. We literally go once or twice a week. The staff is amazing and really cater to their customers. The make all if their own flavors in house and use a different type of flavoring from other yogurt shops. Just ask them about it and they can tell you everything! My favorite flavor so far is the green cricket they bring out in the winter time, so yummy!

During our latest sojourn in the heart of the Southside, we found two yogurt gems. Literally right next to each other. We walked into this amazing coincidence unknowingly and just had to try both of them, to our mock dismay. The flavors available are varied and imaginative(twinkies, for example). They have a nicely appointed board on the wall with a visually pleasing examples of flavors that are, flavors that were and flavors to be. Just about everything is represented. Except a staple for my froyo cravings. That staple being a hot fudge pump. Didn’t see one, but I didn’t ask. Maybe I just missed it. The service is just how I like it these days: Stiflingly great. Well, they don’t quite smother you with kindness, but close. I mean this in the nicest way. Keep it up. I was pleased to the gills at the true pride every employee I encountered took in this place.

Yogurt Shoppe is the best fro yo place in Greenwood. Flavors are unique and tasty. There are plenty of toppings to choose from(Or overload on!) They let you sample all the flavors before choosing. The owners are always there so definitely a good, family vibe there. Also, LA Fitness members get a 10% discount with their key FOBS.

By far the best frozen yogurt I have found. Very creamy almost as creamy as frozen custard with alot less calories. The kids dig the fact that they get to serve themselves and the owner is always out front with a smile and some friendly chit chat. Who wants to give me some money to buy a franchise??? lol

Excellent shop! Very healthy and delicious yogurt. All flavors are fat free and some are no sugar added, but you’d never know it. They switch out new flavors all the time and they are all great. My only complaint is I wish they had more locations !

Love to take my kiddos here for a healthy dessert. I just found this place last week(through word of mouth from my child’s soccer coach). We’ve already been twice! The frozen yogurt is better than soft serve ice cream IMO, very creamy, non-fat(you would never guess!) & lots of fun toppings. I’m so pleased that they offer fresh fruit as a topping & not just candy & cookie pieces. I really hope this place is here to stay! My 3 year old always asks to go to the«yogurt shoppe.»

This was an good place to get a treat! When you first go in here they give you a small cup to try samples of the yogurt. It is a self serve place and they have all kinds of toppings. I had a mixture of the peanut butter and cookie dough flavor and it was very tasty! They change their flavors every month and they said they also will be doing seasonal flavors. The staff was very friendly and we met the owner, he was asking us if we have any ideas for any flavors he told us of some upcoming flavors. We WILL be back! I highly recommend you try this place out, you will not be disappointed!
