Bonefish is a great date night. The food is gluten free and delicious. It feels like an upscale restaurant without costing like one. The martinis are always excellent and the bar is as comfortable as the dining room.

Good service … this is like a Outback but for fish. Imperial long fin is always a guarantee. Bang Bang shrimp is a must. Dinner and drinks and tip your looking around $ 100.00.

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend and her parents to celebrate her birthday. None of us had gone before and little did we know that this was going to be an amazing dining experience. Our serve Megan was the nicest and most kind waitress I’ve ever had. She was always around making sure we were doing alright and had everything we needed. At the end of the night the manager came over and gave my girlfriend a gift for her birthday! Now the food was just amazing. I personally had the bang bang shrimp tacos and I would highly recommend them because they were awesome. My girlfriend had salmon with mango salsa and that was something I would love to go back and have myself. Another great dish was the bbq pork chop man oh man was that delicious. Some of the leanest pork I’ve ever had. Overall I give this restaurant 5 stars! I will definitely be coming back thanks to the amazing service and food!

Oh yes, almost like Ruth Chris… I did say almost. The service was exceptional and the food was fantastic. A little pricey but it all came together with the service and food. This is not quite a family setting but it worked. I’d order salmon with crab and the flow it’s with like a marriage made in heaven. The chef and owner came to our table for a more personal service we appreciated. I will be back!!!

I went to Bonefish for the first time a few weeks ago. Always wanted to go, but thought it would be too expensive. Not so, prices are decent for what you get. Sooo delicious! Everything was melt in your mouth. Awesome tuna steak and lobster tail. The server exceeded my expectations as well.

We had a really good experience here and our server was awesome. I believe his name was Chris, but he looked like Jason Lee and he might need to be my next ex-husband. Just sayin’. We started with a bunch of appetizers, including the famous bang bang shrimp. Also go the mussels and calamari. All very good. Entrees were enjoyed and we tried a couple of the specials for the night. We managed to finish with dessert, which seem to be really hit or miss here. My crème brûlée was more of a pudding and the bruleed top was almost nonexistent. The donuts were also not great. However, the key lime pie is a real win. Just stick with that.

Wait time for food was horrible. It took an hour after we ordered just to get our food! It was Mothers Day but the place was only 50% full. Service was good but food was cold when we got it.

The Arctic char special with the pan Asian sauce was so so, but the bread and oil starter, martinis, and by far the best menu item Bang Bang Shrimp are worth a trip all together! I know it’s a chain restaurant which turns some off, but this is a classy restaurant with outstanding service for fractions of the cost of some of the seafood restaurants on the north side!

The Unilocal two-star rating for menu prices will fool you — this is certainly a three-star menu kind of place. Appetizers around $ 20, entrees cost more on average than Olive Garden for about $ 15. Their brunch menu isn’t bad with items at $ 9-$ 14. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp($ 9). as an appetizer. It comes on a little mountain of breaded and sauced shrimp. They say it’s a bit spicy, but not really(a slight aftertaste of spice that is enough to require a sip of water). You get maybe 15 – 20 small shrimp. It’s tasty. But it is also quite sauced and a bit too much at times. Definitely share with people. I got the Lily’s Chicken($ 15) as an entrée. Grilled chicken with the following items on top: spinach, large pieces of goat cheese. On the side: artichoke hearts. All with a lemon basil sauce. You get to select two sides(get the mashed potatoes!). So, this dish really was tasty. And after just a few shrimp and the bread they brought out I had a lot of leftovers. I will say, it is not an elaborate dish and not worth the price. It can be easily replicated. There as nothing striking about the chicken and since the toppings merely sat there, nothing special about that either. In the future I would choose a more complex dish to really feel this restaurant deserves to charge such a large cost. However, the mix of everything with the chicken(especially the goat cheese) is a great combo. The $ 5 mimosa for brunch was in a small champagne glass. Not worth it, friends. But it was happy to have. Good customer service. When you say thank you, each time the two bartenders kept saying«it’s my pleasure.» Cute. Only three stars because while it was good, there was nothing really special about it. I will say, I’d like to visit again because they do have some really interesting sounding dishes that I would love to try!

How’d I not know they did brunch before? I caught up with a long-time friend who I don’t get to spend much time with. We scooted in right as they opened at 10 and somehow didn’t manage to free up the table until 2:30(Sorry, Ray, for holding the table). I’m an omelet girl, so the decision should have been an easy one. But everything on the brunch menu sounded great — especially the crème brule french toast. I went«sensible“and got the California Omelet. SO glad I did. 2 words: Yum.mee. My brunch buddy and I decided to do just one round of drinks(silly, I know) and both got the Bloody Mary. I’m glad that we decided on just one round — I might have wobbled out of there. But I’m kind of bummed because I could have spent all afternoon with more of them. The price was good. The portions reasonable, but not intimidating. Definitely finding another Sunday morning to head back.

Excellent seafood, service, and probably the best cocktails on the southside. I love that you can find their nutritional information for many entrees on My Fitness Pal. My only complaint is it is a tad pricey for me so I can’t go more often. Update, August 2015: They changed their Bloody Mary recipe. It’s not the same — in fact, the taste was so off I sent it back and had the fantastic Watermelon-Cucumber martini. Also, Oysters Rockefeller appetizer recipe misses the mark but the lamb lollipop chops were delicious.

All I can say about our last Bonefish experience is Yikes. We recently went for their Sunday brunch and the only redeeming quality is that the prices were reasonable. If you are a vegetarian do not even think of stepping in the door on a Sunday afternoon. There wasn’t a single entrée I could eat. Not one. I don’t expect a whole menu catered to me but AN item doesn’t seem like to much to ask. On top of not being able to eat anything except a side salad our waitress was atrocious. I have never experienced service that bad in my life. This woman was not qualified to work at an Ihop. She was rude, unwelcoming, condescending, and slower than a turtle on its back. We spent over an hour there just to get a side salad and an omelet. The place maybe had 8 tables in it. The only time we will be returning is when Walt is working in the bar. We still love him and the atmosphere, but never will we roll the dice with a waiter here again. For the love of god if you go do yourself a favor and sit in the bar.

First time I’ve been satisfied and more by the food and service. I love the cous cous, i love the wood-grilled shrimp, i love the atmosphere, the dimmed lighting, the nice reception. I spent my two-year anniversary with my boyfriend and it was ideal.

I expected a lot more. I had seen the menu online and was excited to go. But when I was served the ahi tuna it wasn’t fresh at all, it was dingy pink instead of fresh bright pink. The only good thing I had was the bang bang shrimp. The décor is horrendous, I don’t expect to come to an expensive upscale restaurant and have scratchy cardboard on the tables, it’s terible, the edges stab your arms and it FEEL absolutely gross to run your hands over paper. I emailed the restuarunt manager to never receive any reply. Very dissapointed. Wasted $ 52 and a date night that could have been spent at a better place.

Service was very bad. Our dishes were all brought out at different times. We were not offered a kids’ menu, despite the presence of our 8 year old at the table. Orders were incorrect. Drinks were forgotten. The food was mediocre at best. Won’t be back.

I came here and ordered a to-go meal quickly, but I love the beautiful interior and shiny wooden floors. It’s the perfect place for an evening meal. I had an email for FREE Bang Bang Shrimp(if you are an «insider» and want to receive updates). I thought that the Bang Bang Shrimp was great to experience, but I’m not sure if I would like a second time. I’m personally not into breaded items, but I know that their customers made this a signature item to try here on the southside. I ordered my boyfriend the Kobe Beef Burger. He said it was about average. He would like to try other things on the menu, as well. Highly pleased with their host/hostess staff. Hostess brought me a water to drink just for my waiting period. Also, I didn’t realize that their bread and pesto was included with a to-go order, but she included that in my bag! It was so thoughtful that I am going to plan a second visit — so I can sit down for a meal there.

I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt, because I’ve always enjoyed the northside location, and it is a chain certainly identical from location to location. The server seemed distracted — she stared off into the distance when taking our order. Everything on my entrée plate was cold, and although I ordered au gratin potatoes, I got what was apparently garlic mashed potatoes. Everything tasted OK(but was cold). I should have complained, should have sent it back, but I was worried that either(1) they would simply stick it in a microwave or(2) prepare it again, in which case I would be eating when the rest of my party was finished. So I take full responsibility for not reporting it to the server. But still it shouldn’t have been served.

Went here for my sis-in-law’s birthday dinner with the fam. Ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and Tuna Street Tacos for apps. Delish! The filet mignon was calling my name, but I had to go for more seafood. For the entrée, I ordered the Tilapia Imperial which was baked and stuffed with crab, shrimp, and scallops topped with lemon caper butter. To die for! They serve warm bread with pesto as well. Very good! When the plates come out, the portion size doesn’t look that large, but I assure you, you will be stuffed by the end of the meal.

The service is very hit or miss here. Today, it was MISS. I know that servers hate the table that does the trinity of small total bill:(1) only order water to drink,(2) use a coupon,(3) and split an entrée. But that said, can you at least PRETEND not to hate us? And maybe we will tip really really well because we know we are pulling a jerk move. Normally, Mom and I are happy to order cocktails, but she had a headache and I’m pregant. I used a coupon because I was offered free bang bang shrimp for my birthday. If Bonefish didn’t want me to use the coupon, they wouldn’t have emailed it to me. Finally, we split an entrée because we are small eaters, especially since we already had the shrimp. So… that’s why we ordered why we did, but thanks for making our experience less than steller by treating us like cheapskates. Ok, off my soapbox and onto the food. It never disappoints. I have never had a bad meal here. The Caesar salad was a bit wilty(I forgot to order dressing on the side and I think my predressed salad had been waiting awhile for me to arrive). Everything else was pretty spot on. My steak was cooked exactly to order, sides were served piping hot and tasty. The free bread was crispy on the outside and soft and yeasty on the inside. Would definitely come back. I just hope our server likes us better next time.
