not the cleanest and modernize subways in CT. needs lots of improvement including the staff, perhaps a refreshing training course will get everyone on the same page on how to use and charge subway cards.

I have people in my family who are gluten free and a subway chain doesn’t have gluten free. I saw this sign and it said we now offer 6 inch gluten free white bread and we were very happy after that trip to subway because now we know that more people can eat at this subway. The employee was very nice asking me if you were only getting the sub and I kindly said I’m okay and she said have a nice night here’s your change and it felt like she really cared about her customers.

Usually people at this subway are very nice, but today I saw the man working at the time and knocked because the door was locked an HOUR before closing. He said they closed at 7 when it was 6:55 and the sign said 8. I told him they should change the sign and he’s like«yeah well» …

4 Stars because it’s subway. It’s not by far the the best by any account. That being said, this subway has been better than most other subways I have been to and is reliable. I had lived on the top of the ave for about 4 years, and when you’re on a budget that place is a godsend. $ 3 breakfast, $ 5 lunch/dinner combined(under $ 10/day food budget?) is incredible no matter how you put it. The ladies there are always friendly to me and remember what I want no matter how infrequently I go(twice a week to once a month). They also charge the right amount which annoys me at other subways, and don’t look at me like I am holding their dog hostage when I don’t end up getting a cookie or soda/chips.

****SUBWAY, if you are going to close 2 hours earlier than the sign on your door says, CHANGETHESIGN!!!****** I was going to this subway for nearly 6 months, everyday, to pick up a sub sandwich for a friend. The service was usually good, and the lady that was working most of the time was generally nice and friendly. Sometimes they would run out of bread… okay, bake some more? And sometimes they would run out of meat or tuna. Well, okay… BUT, then after about 6 months, instead of closing at 9pm, like their sign indicates, they were closing at 6 or 7pm. It’s crazy. At one point I got in there early and I asked what the deal was. The women just told me that they were understaffed and trying to find someone. I know for a fact that the same man owns this location, the one at the bottom of the ave, and the one in Stamford(in the shopping plaza by Route 22 Diner)…so, why can’t he have one of the employee’s from those super close locations go to that subway? It makes no sense. Anyway, if you need a sub, and it’s not after 6pm, then I would check it out, but don’t be surprised if you are turned away because they have no bread… i guess you could opt for a wrap!

This review is for the Subway at the top of the ave. The staff here can be weird and unfriendly, bread un-fresh, and crowded inside. It’s hit or miss. The one at the bottom of the ave is consistently good.
