After reading good reviews I decided to try this place out and buy a groupon. We just moved to the area and I figured it would be a good salon to try. So I bought a haircut and deep conditioning treatment deal, it was easy to get an appointment the same day which was nice, but unfortunately I do not like my haircut and finding a parking spot on Greenwich Ave was miserable. I asked Pilar to take off 1 inch of hair, and walked out with 4 off. She was really nice and pleasant, but she did not give me what I wanted and I had to walk out of the salon with a lot shorter hair than I wanted. It is a nice cute spot but unfortunately I will not be back.

Probably the worst hair salon experience. I was spoken down to and was also ripped off as another reviewer stated

Got the groupon and went here yesterday for highlights, cut, and style. Everyone was exceptionally nice! John Anthony was the person who did my hair. He listened thoroughly to what I wanted, explained what would be possible, and then meticulously and professionally highlighted my hair. The highlights turned out gorgeous and my cut was also very well done. He also gave me a 30% off coupon for next time! Definitely going back again in a couple of months.

Not sure why there are so many mediocre reviews for such a great salon. They seem to have quite a following because all their «regulars» were addressed by their first names as soon as they walked in. I had purchased a groupon for highlights and a cut and was treated like a repeat client. The color and cut turned out great! When my meter ran out, the salon assistant was kind enough to run downstairs and put another quarter in. Do not hesitate to try this salon out. The appointment did not run over, nor did I feel like I was being rushed out. Very down to earth and experienced professionals which are sometimes hard to find in this neighborhood!

Great service by Pilar but not happy about having to pay extra on top of the Groupon.
I had to pay the full price of a glaze on top of the Groupon ($ 97 for a single-​process color and haircut with blowout) because their definition of a single-​process color was a «roots only» color, a definition that is false according to multiple online searches of a «single-​process color». In the end, I ended up paying a bit more compared to their stated online rates. Buying a Groupon was a complete waste of time due to the salon’s way of changing how they classify what is covered under the promotions.

So I have to caveat this review. The girl who did my hair, Silvana, gets a solid 5 stars. She was fantastic. That being said…
This place was recommended by a friend because I needed my hair put up for a wedding I was attending on a Saturday afternoon. Had an appointment scheduled for 9:30am the morning of and I’m really glad it was early enough to compensate for what happened next.
Got to the salon and checked in, the receptionist said the stylist was parking and would be in in just a few minutes. Okay, no problem. 15 minutes later when the stylist still hadn’t shown up and I’m watching the clock because there were other things to do before the wedding, the staff ended up making a mad scramble and Silvana did my hair. It was exactly what I wanted and she was super fast, which I really appreciated given the fact I was running behind schedule because their other stylist didn’t show up.
The overall experience was not at all what I expected from a high-​end salon in Greenwich.

Vanessa was generous to give the salon 3 stars. I have to drop that to two since the description is «meh, I’ve experienced better.»
Turns out that the stylist who had just confirmed our appointment the day before via email, didn’t show up. We were on a tight timetable to get to a 12 pm wedding rehearsal and 1 pm wedding. The receptionist covered for her at first: «She’s parking,» but when she still wasn’t there 15 minutes after the appointed time, told us that she had asked for someone to come in from another salon. Neither of those things happened. The stylist who was there, Silvana, multi-​tasked us with her existing appointments, and they supplemented some blow-​dry from the guy who usually does just color.
Silvana did a fast, excellent up-​do for my daughter, but did what she wanted (and didn’t listen to what I asked) for me. It was already far too late to argue more.
$ 230 (inc grat) later for two of us… an extremely disappointing experience. and nothing from management.
I hope this review makes people think twice.

Wonderful place! Very friendly, caring staff. A happy place to get a haircut. Jose has had many years in the business and gave me a precise haircut that was carefully constructed and flattering. He also provides beautiful moisturizing treatments for fine hair.
