I love getting Château Morrissette wine here. It’s the best, and local! Associates have always been helpful but not overbearing. Also tried the chocolate at checkout line hoping it wouldn’t be a mistake, and it was great. Paired really well with the wine and for a midnight snack long after the wine was gone :)

For a store that carries a lot of beer, TW&M doesn’t carry brews native to North Carolina. Came in looking for Wicked Weed and Westbrook. Left without making a purchase. If you’re looking for rare beers, Potent Potables is a better bet.

Over 2000 wines and I do believe there is over 1000 beers. Friendly service and the workers have their favorites posted throughout the store. They usually have a wine or beer tasting during happy hour @ least once a week. I love the fact that they have a section dedicated to NC wine manufacturers. Ooh and don’t forget, they let you assemble your own 6 packs!

When I pass through Greensboro on business, and I want to purchase a nice bottle of wine or a few bottles of craft beer — this is my destination. I like the easy access off High Point road, and the store’s proximity to I-40. My stop today was to reward myself with a few craft beers. I love Total Wines online browsing/sorting system. It’s very easy to bring up info on wines or beers based on a multitude of factors such as country of origin, style, popularity, price, and either expert or customer ratings. One may find some magnificent quaff in this manner, especially foreign wines that are highly rated but still reasonably priced. Today, I bought a few craft beers that I was familiar with, and several that I’ve seen on Beer Advocate, but hadn’t tried. I ended up buying: — Three bottles of Yeti Barrel aged Imperial Stout, one of my favorites. — Bell’s Two Hearted Ale. — Lagunita’s Maximus IPA — Rogue Mocha Porter — Brooklyn Brown Ale — Woodchuck«Winter» Hard Cider. Bought on Nikki’s, Charlotte’s Unilocal CM, suggestion. I figure that if someone needs an intervention over an item, it is at the very least — worth a try. Woodchuck has a taste, that on the finish, hits my palette as an almost peaches and vanilla flavor. I like Angry Ale just as much or better, and my homemade hard cider is tastier, cheaper, and more potent than either of them. I noticed online that they feature several offerings by Founder’s Brewery, but I didn’t spot this in the store. If I had, I would have bought several bottles. I’m not suggesting that TW&M is better than smaller local shops, but in Greensboro it is currently the destination that I am familiar with, and the sheer volume of choices is amazing. The store personnel were having a good time, laughing and enjoying themselves, which bodes well for the store in general. They treated me very well and they were professional, fast, and friendly. They had no problem letting me use the employee restroom, which after traveling a couple of hours was very appreciated. I’m sure the fact that I spent $ 80 helped! I wasn’t offered any help with choosing, but then again, I don’t usually need or want any help. Acres of parking! I have always managed to find a hidden treasure or three at any Total Wines store. I will definitely be stopping here again in the future when today’s purchases are a fond memory.

Stella Rose is a great red wine and it is inexpensive., Total Wine has wine and beer and has a very large selection. They also have wine tastings weekly. Staff is always helpful when I enter the store and give their reviews on different types of wines.
