My husband & I went to dinner on sat night. We waited to be seated for 10 minutes. It was crowded which means a very good sign. I had the strawberry margarita. It was okay. Very sweet. My husband had 2 beers and they were ice cold which he loves. The shrimp quesadilla was really good. Came with guacamole salad which was my favorite. The salsa was home made and the chips were pretty good too. Our waitress was friendly & fast. We will go again for sure.

This was the best Mexican food I have had! I really am a huge fan if this place. The food wasn’t the best part, the best part was the service! We had Jennifer serve us and she was fantastic! Energetic! Very nice and patient while I took my time to order! The food didn’t take too long to arrive either! I will definitely be coming here more often!

This is really the best traditional Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been too. I have never been disappointed in the food. Chips and salsa are great. Love the shrimp coctail. I always eat here when in this area of Greensboro.

Better than average Mexican food. Huge menu to order from. I enjoyed my carna asada. Huge portions, reasonably priced, very clean restuarant, friendly staff. Next time I’m in Greensboro, I’d stop in again.

This place is bomb! I got the burrito mexicano which had tender shredded pork in it, avocado, pico de gallo, and some other stuff on top. I think there was a cheese sauce in there somewhere. It was huge too. I was honestly kind of intimidated when it first arrived and trust me, I’m not the type of fella who’s normally emasculated by a burrito. Aside from the food, the staff was great and the environment was welcoming. My server Vicky was extremely friendly and fun to talk to. All smiles. Management, if you’re reading this, you should give Vicky a raise. Just sayin! Anyway, I’m pretty picky about mexican food because I’m from California and let me just say… this shit was awesome.

One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Greensboro. You have to try their special nachos and the coctail de camaron. Delicious chips and salsa and great variety!

Mediocre food, messed up order, and slow service. Better than some but overall we were disappointed based on other reviews. Rubbery chicken fajitas, over cooked pork in the chili verde, and lack luster flavor all around.

My second time here(first time was better). My husbands first time here tonight. The food was bland, overlooked and questionable. I ordered the lunch portion texas fajitas. The menu says food comes on sizzling platter and you get your choice of white or mexican rice or black beans or refried beans. I ordered it with white rice and black beans. It came to me with mexican rice and cold black beans. I told the server that I had asked for white rice and she said we don’t have it. I’m thinking, «why didn’t you tell me that when I ordered or before it came out?». Then the plate was served on a regular non sizzling plate. The«manage» sort of argued with me about this. I just didn’t even pursue it. Not worth it. Not worth a return. Sanitation score of 97.

I have visited this restaurant three times and each time the food was awesome. However, the hostesses are always rude. I really enjoy the food but their customer service needs improvement.

I visited this place two weeks ago for the Sedgefield Equestrian Show. I have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants that weren’t a pleasant experience, but I really enjoyed this one. The quality of the food is outstanding! I ordered a shrimp fajita chimichanga I have never heard of a shrimp chimichanga and it was amazing. The menu had a huge variety to choose from there was a lot of options, so it was a little hard to decide what I wanted. Overall I would strongly recommend this place for anyone who lives in Greensboro or that is just passing through and someone that is hoping to get a true authentic Mexican experience.

Yum! The food and service were both great! The cheese dip came in larger quantity than we expected but hey, you never can have too much melted cheese! We sat outside because the weather was nice. I could see us going back if we are ever on the area again.

This is a solid, if not spectactular, Mexican restaurant, in the same vein as its sister restarants, San Luis and Casa Vallarta. This one is my favorite of the three for ambience, the service here is always excellent, and the menu choices are huge, and there are always specials on the board at the front. They have the usual«Lunch Specials», Speedy Gonzales and 15 or so of his best friends, but they have much more to offer, much more that should be explored, including some nice seafood choices, and they offer carne asada in a lot of combinations. They do the normal Mexican fare very well also — their Fajitas are always nicely done, and are especially good in a taco salad format, loaded with meat, peppers, and onions; the salas & chips are very nice, especially the salas which is loaded with fresh cilantro; the burritos and enchiladas are consistently good; and the Carnitas are excellent. Tacos are on the menu but you have to search a little. Theiir lunch Huevos dshes are a nice change of pace, especially the Huevos con Chorizo, and they offer a different take on Cornish Game Hen.

We spent several days in Greensboro for a wedding and we couldn’t get ourselves to venture away from San Luis II. The service was great. I never had an empty glass before the waitress arrived with my refill. I noticed everyone was served a salsa, but we were offered a spicier alternative which was just what we like — HOT. Since we visited the restaurant several times, I wanted to try different items, so I would order everything A la Carte: a tamale, a chile poblano, and an enchilada. On the weekend, the Menudo was just what the hangover ordered. The next day, the sopes were nice and big with a lot of meat. Talking about meat, I had the steak dinner with cactus and fresh Mexican cheese with the homemade tortillas — DELICIOUS! Another day I decided to just try the tacos. The foiled treat came with the same homemade tortillas which were so good and fresh! I failed to mention we are from Chicago, the mecca of Mexican restaurants, but not many make the homemade tortillas as San Luis II. It was a treat to have these, fresh. And the patio which still smells new has such a relaxing ambiance. Definitely head here with a large group or just when you’re craving good Mexican food! We also visited the original San Luis(my review on their page).

Woah. WOAH! How come I’ve never had Tortas before?! I just got done stuffing the most insanely delicious mexican sandwich I’ve ever tasted in my mouth and my life has changed forever. It was on the menu and I was all, «whaaaaaaat??» and I ordered it out of curiosity. And it was AWESOME! Check it out: Mexican sandwiches stuffed with your choice of meat(I went with grilled steak), refried beans, lettuce, tomato, red onions, jalapenos, mayo, and avocado slices. An evil genius invented this. It’s like the best burrito ever wished it was an even more delicious sandwich. My stomach is herniating because I am so full, but if I had another Tortas in front of me, I would absolutely eat it, and then I would die. It would be like Seven up in here. And there goes the security deposit.

Walked in and was hit with the horrible stench of wet rugs and b.o. Made it to our table and ordered drinks but couldn’t take the smell and paid our bill and left. The floor was really slippery too.

Manager called me… She is also Mgr for Lee ST location. She questioned if I got sick from their food??? I was a Chef & Manager in food service for over 30 years. I used to teach the Serv-Safe program. I KNOW food poisoning! They offered to pay for a Doctor visit, but by the time she called back it was out of my system. Any restaurant that gets me sick will never see me again, or anyone that I can tell!

We went to the first San Luis restaurant for years, but always felt that the building was a dump. This all changed when they opened San Luis II a couple years ago. It’s been our regular Sunday lunch stop ever since. Our favorite item by far is the Carne Asada, which is a couple thin pieces of sirloin steak served with Spanish rice, beans, slices of avocado, pico de gallo(a fresh, spicy relish of sorts) and if you go on the weekend, FRESH corn tortillas! The lunch portion is HUGE, so we order it day and night, though there is a $ 1 upcharge at night. For the most part I could stay away from the«numbered» meals, which are too close to Taco Bell fare, and go for the traditional Mexican meals. Anything with seafood is a great choice too. Another weekend favorite is a refreshing non-alcoholic drink called Horchata. It’s made from rice, cinnamon and sugar, and though it contains no dairy, it tastes just like the sweet milk that remains at the bottom of your cereal bowl.
