I’ve been to this t-mobile location many times for various reasons ranging from getting Sim card to adding a new line to buying a new phone. The staff at this location are very knowledgeable and professional. Every interaction has been courteous and prompt. They seem genuinely interested in helping everyone who walks through the door with phones and services. The store is very clean and well maintained and people get a chance to check out all the phones on offer and also find out plans and news.

April Update: T-Mobile have only EDGE coverage where I am, and too often, no usable data coverage. I understand they’re building out their network in Greensboro. I will wait until they do before signing up. I look forward to dumping AT&T, so please hurry up! ================================================================= I’m looking to replace my overpriced AT&T plan and am currently testing T-Mobile’s service. So far, voice seems ok, data rate is slow but network upgrades are coming, they say. I’ve visited the store twice. The first time there was only one other customer, service was swift, my questions were answered promptly and correctly. However on the second visit there were several other customers and the two people working hard to serve them couldn’t keep up. I saw at least 3 customers walk out, unwilling to wait. This was around 10am, not what I’d imagine their peak period for traffic would be. I’ve little doubt they’re losing business over this, not to mention providing poor service to existing customers. I can’t complain about the staff — they were working hard, aware of people waiting and thanked us repeatedly for our patience. The store is clean and well-maintained. T-Mobile are currently running aggressive ad campaigns, presumably to attract more customers. Some of their offerings are attractive and will be very attractive once higher data rates are available… but they need to invest in service as well as technology.

If I walk into a store there’s a good chance I want to spend money there. The odds get better if I tell you I am looking for a car charger and a new headset. So, what happened when I did all of the above at this store? Pretty much nothing. I left with a $ 29 generic car charger that doesn’t specifically match my phone(the myTouch Slide by T-Mobile). No headset because the just pointed to them after I clarified that I wanted a Bluetooth headset. I have a brand new myTouch Slide. WTF would I need with a wired headset!!! This location sucks too. It’s almost right on I-40 and the entrance is only a few feet from the Interstate on-ramp, which is kinda nice when you arrive, but sucks when you’re trying to leave.
