Last night a group of us celebrated our friend’s 60th birthday. My husband and I have dined at your restaurant a number of times and I recommended your restaurant. Our server, Jessi was very good, the place was beautiful and the food was good, and we all ordered from the Queen’s Feast menu. The appetizers and desserts were presented very nicely, however most of us ordered the petite filet or crab cakes. Yes they were good, but we did not expect for the entrée to be served alone on a big white dinner plate, no garnish of any kind, much less a little vegetable. Not appealing to the eye especially at such a nice restaurant. We also made an early reservation and were looking forward to trying the advertised drinks and wine for $ 6 till 6PM. We were told upon arrival this was not allowed in NC due to ABC rules-find that difficult to believe. Have been to many restaurants in NC for Happy Hours with drinks for a special price. If this is true it should have had something on the website informing us. The 9 of us are hardworking nurses and expected more. We each spent approximately $ 70 which is double the advertised amount of $ 35 plus a drink or 2 which we thought might cost us $ 50. Just disappointing as I was expecting so much more. We dined at the Flemmings in Charlotte. TPR

We received a number of gift cards to this establishment for Christmas and decided to take advantage of those and the special they are running on the Prime Rib for $ 29.95 which includes a 12 oz. cut of Prime Rib, a choice of several salads and one side while finishing with a choice of desserts! That is a Bargain here and most anywhere and it is going to run for a number of weeks on Sundays and Mondays! Being just a couple of days after New Years I figured we wouldn’t have a problem getting seated without reservations and that was the case. Of course we were seated immediately and our server, Jessica, was there as we were being seated. One of the many touches that Flemings does is to provide you with a white or black napkin depending on whether you have light or dark clothing on, and they also have lint rollers at the reception desk if needed to make sure your clothing stays impeccable. Since David Jr. was joining us and had not arrived as we were seated, Jessica asked if we wanted to hear the specials or wait until he arrived, another thoughtful gesture. But from this point on the service had some chinks in its normal outstanding presentation and there were several points when things did not work out right because of multiple servers supporting our table. Like I said, very out of character for Flemings and it had an impact on my overall rating. One issue we had was that the table we were seated at was tucked into a designer corner with half-walls part way around the table and not enough room for a server to walk between the walls and the table. This made it difficult for Jessica, or the other servers, to remove items from the table, or even to place items on the table without reaching across in front of one of us sitting on the sides. And no one was sitting in the chair that was in the corner of the half walls. The next issue was that when another server delivered our salads the order was wrong. Mary and David Jr. had ordered the Fleming Salad and I had ordered the Wedge but three Fleming salads showed up. Not sure where the error was, but this type of mistake should not happen at this level of a restaurant, especially when only 5 of the tables in the whole house were occupied at the time. The server took the one salad back and ordered a Wedge salad for me. He then brought out the chilled salad forks and gave them to Mary and David Jr. but didn’t give me the third one he brought out because my salad was not delivered yet. The kitchen did a good job of getting the salad out quickly though and Jessica delivered it without saying anything about the mix up and no chilled fork was offered either so I used the entrée fork. Of course that is not a big issue since that is what I do at home because I am the dishwasher and that makes less things to cleanup! The salads were excellent. The Blue Cheese dressing on my Wedge was fantastic and the added touch of having a slice of Blue Cheese on the plate is a taste bonus. Jessica, in clearing the table after the salads, also brought out clean utensils for us to use for the entrees so the issue of the missing salad fork was resolved. An astute server. Mary and I took advantage of the Prime Rib special and of course ordered sides that we could share. The Prime Rib was cooked perfectly, Well Done for Mary and Medium for me. Of course, it goes unsaid that the pace of the meal was perfect even with the small crowd, the kitchen knows how to manage the timing for the preparation, plating and delivery the various courses to allow the proper time between them. I add this because all to often you see me commenting on the exact opposite situation where the courses pile up at the table. There are several restaurants that prepare good food that I will not return to because of this issue. Of course the meal was topped off with desserts and I had the signature Lava Cake. It was decadent, but I ate it all and am now regretting it! Not sure I want to weigh in tomorrow morning or just head straight to the tread mill for a double workout. Since we had a good view of the kitchen, we noticed them serving a lot of hamburgers to patrons in the bar area. We have heard that those hamburgers are outstanding and have decided that our next visit(we still have more gift cards) will be during a football game and we will sit in the bar area where the Hamburgers are served. Got to look at the playoff schedule to see when the Pittsburgh Steelers are playing so we can work it in.

One of our favorite places to celebrate Valentine’s, our Anniversary, and my birthday. They treat you sooooo amazing… box of truffles, gift card to return and dine again, and this year on my birthday our server took our picture and gave it to us in a little Flemings frame before we left! The Seafood Tower is amazing — crab legs, lump meat, lobster tail, and jumbo shrimp — it’s so fresh and served over ice. Their chocolate lava cake is to die for — hands down best I have ever had in my life. It’s surprisingly light and slightly salty with a side of ice cream and fresh whipped cream. The servers are incredible; they are extremely polite and attentive, and go above and beyond to ensure you have a great experience.

This restaurant located in Friendly center. The food is good the service is good. The crab cakes were just soso. People we love crab cakes might want to try Ruth’s. The steak is good, as well as lobsters. They have more than 200 different kind of wines, you got to check it out. They offer very good service, it is a little pricey. Overall I would give it a five stars, people have different opinions, so, check it out!

I will be only reviewing the happy hours menu(5 – 7) and(8 – 10) as I never tried the regular menu. First, the environment. Very good service, I should say flawless. The inside is very cozy and also very dark. Good for a private dinner or a date, not so good for taking pictures for Unilocal ;) They also have a very nice patio outside for warm time. Now the food, I really love the happy hours menu. Both versions are good in different ways. First one is cheaper and more«casual» while the later one offer more choices at a higher price. Flemings seems to allow mix of happy hours during some national days off and/or events which is probably the best time to eat there as you can get the best of both menu. So far my favorites have been the pork belly, which is crispy and fatty as I like with a little note of sweet thanks to the berry jam. Another one you have to try: the s’mores. Just the best I ever had. Everything come separated, and you build your own. All high quality ingredients and the chocolate even includes alcohol ;) I never tried yet the cocktails of the happy hour menu, but it’s on my list.

This is elegant, old school, New York/Vegas style, fine dining steakhouse style! So when you read others reviews, I’m confused at how they were surprised at the price? And no, you can’t replicate this at home as some suggested. Dark wood, low lighting, white table clothes, extensive wine list, a maitre d’, and perhaps Frank himself crooning over the speakers in your ears that make for a perfect experience! We stopped in for the«Sunday Only» Prime Rib dinner. So for $ 40 you can get a very generous portion of prime rib cooked exactly the way you want to a tee that will melt with each bite you take! You’ll also get a salad of your choice, which for me was the Modern Caesar for which I appreciated the new spin on this classic. You’ll get a side of your choice, which by the way, will feed two-three people easily. So between the four of us, we tried the Mac n Cheese, Mushrooms, Flemings Potatoes, and Creamed Spinach. Don’t ask which was better because they each were fabulous in their own way! To top it off you get a full sized dessert that easily could be shared with your companion! We tried the cheesecake and chocolate lava cake which came with vanilla ice cream! The cheesecake was awesome, but the chocolate lava was absolutely decadent! Yes, prices are high, and the wine list is overwhelming, but it’s fine dining done very well I might say! This southern gentleman appreciated the step back in time to a nearly bygone era, and I’m sure Old Blue Eyes did too! Tip-Costco sells $ 100 worth of gift cards for $ 80 to Flemings!

A friend had suggested Flemings for an afterwork treat. i approached the door and was completely hesistant to enter. The host opened the glass doors and explained they had a bar menu. i was convinced at that point due to the his friendliness. They have a bar special 5−6−7 this menu has an assortment of drinks and food. It also has a prime burger for 7. the special begins at 5pm and ends at 7pm, There is also a 8−9−10 special too, this menu also has a nice assortment. My friend and I will definitely be going back next week. Cheers!

There’s nothing like a great steakhouse! Came here on a whim with a friend for a casual dinner and drinks. We were greeted by very friendly staff who were accommodating but not too pushy! They have a 5−6−7 happy hour from 5 – 7 where there are 5 different types of drinks, and appetizers for only $ 6 until 7pm. They do something similar starting at 8pm but the prices increase from $ 6 to $ 9. My suggestion. Go there after work to take advantage of the specials. Please note that I believe they are only bar specials. We loved it so much we plan to go back next week! Cheers!

My husband and I ate here to celebrate his birthday; I made online reservations. We arrived right on time and were seated very promptly. Our server was Jessica and she was very polite and professional, but seemed new or nervous. We both had a glass of wine and then placed our entrée order. The wine and bread came out almost together… our entrees, on the other hand took almost an hour. I saw people who had been seated after us receive their meals 20 – 25 minutes before ours were served. They were very busy and every table was occupied, but it doesn’t take 60 minutes to whip out two fillets cooked medium. Anyway… Once our food was served, it was delicious. My steak was melt in my mouth tender… cooked perfectly. My lobster tail was out of this world. My husband enjoyed his steak very much, but the Flemings potatoes were under done… very unremarkable. For dessert, we split the molten chocolate cake and it was plenty big enough for both… and delicious. Being this was our first visit, the house made truffles were a totally unexpected treat. Very nicely presented in a dark blue box with matching ribbon. We knew it was going to be pricey, but before tip, our bill was $ 150. Definitely not an every week experience. Nice for a very special occasion, but honestly, I can fix steak and potatoes and a great dessert for a lot less than we paid. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated. The ambiance was perfect for a celebratory date night. The staff and manager were attentive and very professional. I am happy to say we’ve eaten there but doubt we will return anytime soon. Just too pricey and not impressed with the wait time for our entrees. Although there were others dressed appropriately, I was disappointed to see two parties dressed in jeans and tshirts. In my opinion, this is a fine dining experience … Not casual dining. I appreciated seeing other ladies in nice dresses and men neatly dressed… very nice!

So, back to this outstanding, fine dining restaurant for a wedding anniversary dinner, one of probably a half dozen or so we’ve celebrated here. The wait staff changes over time, though Kenny at the bar and Jim on the main floor, have been there almost from the start — but the service is always polished, professional, and attentive. No less so tonight, and Nick had only been on board for about a month but took excellent care of us on this night. We decided to «graze» tonight rather than go for our usual, the 20 ounce Bone In Rib Eye. So we started with 6 Oysters On The Half Shell, added PEI Mussels along with Pan-Crisped Pork Belly, and finished with Lobster Tempura and Gulf Shrimp & Scallops, scampi style. Every dish was spot on. The oysters were fresh & creamy tasting, ending with that necessary underlying saltiness. The pork bell was well cooked to a nice outside crust, and plated over creamy, goat cheese grits with a super Dark Cherry & Sweet Onion Chutney on the side — a hell of a dish, with a variety of excellent tastes and textures. The PEI Mussels were outstanding as well — cooked with a touch of garlic and shallots, along with over roasted tomatoes, white wine, and Italian Sausage. These mussels are the best, by far, of any we’ve found in the area, and we’ve tried most of them by now. As an aside, we really didn’t think the sausage added anything, we just fished the slices out of the broth. The Lobster Tempura, which has long been a favorite«small plate» of mine, was superb, the lobster tender and fresh tasting. The Gulf Shrimp and Scallops was yet another outstanding dish. Both the shrimp and the scallops were perfectly cooked in a scampi style with squash vermicelli, with julienne carrot and zucchini — a most creative, attractive, and tasty dish. We finish with Fleming’s superlative Raspberry Sorbet and several glasses of an excellent dessert wine suggested by Kenny. A very special dinner occasion made perfect by the food and service at this fine restaurant.

flemings is always fantastic, and very affordable during happy hour. tonight we opted for a different route and had the prime rib. It was nothing short of fantastic. While the steak lacked the decadence of a lot of steak houses(read no meat sweats) it made up for in superior execution. the side of truffled mash was great, as was the modern caesar salad… fried capers with crisped pancetta say whaaaaaat!!!

I love the happy hour here, the prices for the food are excellent. The tenderloin carpaccio melts on your tongue. It comes with a creamy horseradish sauce and capers. The roasted butternut squash ravioli comes in 3 but its an excellent dish for $ 6. The beer special is a leinenkugels seasonal is $ 3. The prime burger with cheese and bacon comes with a side and is a steal for $ 7. The bar staff are fast and friendly. Overall, one of the best restaurants in Greensboro.

Our group had another fantastic dinner at Flemings Saturday night. Three of us had the filet and lobster, the forth — salmon. Everything was perfect. As always, and thanks to Brian Watson, the service was also excellent. We request him every time and are never disappointed. Excellent staff and atmosphere.

We have had dinner in the main dining room on a couple of occasions, but we come often to dine at the bar for their happy hour specials. They rotate the 5 for 6 till 7 menu every few months. Our favorite apps are the pork belly and the sweet chili calamari. We always get the Flemings burger it is good however it is sometimes over cooked. The service is excellent and some of the wait staff even know us by name.

We went to Fleming’s for our 5th anniversary dinner tonight and had a great experience. The reservation was easy and confirmed quickly. We arrived about 15 minutes early and were seated immediately in one of the nice large booths against the wall so we can see the whole place. We had both managers both by and wish us a happy anniversary before the experience started. Everything was very clean and warm. Our server was attentive, professional, and very courteous. He really went above and beyond to make our evening special. Okay… on to the food… We ordered the baked brie with apples slices and the crab cakes. The brie was a nice, lighter choice for an appetizer. The crab cakes were okay. They were pretty small for the price especially when you only get two. The taste of the sauce was overpowering on its own. With the crab cakes, the sauce was perfect. Only issues with the crab cakes is that the bottom was a little over done and I could taste some burnt bits. The Caesar salad was the best Caesar I’ve ever had. Awesome. I ordered the bone-in New York strip topped with the Bearnaise sauce and butter poached lobster. The steak was cooked to perfect med/rare. I had to request more sauce for my steak. The lobster was perfectly cooked and was soooo good. We then ordered the lava cake and carrot cake. I was very happy with the lava cake… until I tried the carrot cake. After tasting that carrot cake I lost all interest in the lava cake. It was good… don’t get me wrong… but couldn’t hold a candle to that amazing carrot cake. They gave us 4 chocolate truffle and a $ 25 gift card for our anniversary. It was a great experience and the food was great. It was very pricey though. I went here last night with the husband to celebrate him landing a new job, and we had a very enjoyable meal. This was my second visit to Fleming’s, but on the first visit I attended an invitation-only cocktail/dinner pairing event in their private dining room, so this was actually my first«real» visit to the restaurant. We got here right after I got out of work, so we were fairly early for dinner, and we had the restaurant mostly to ourselves for quite some time. Our server, Keith, was personable, friendly and attentive, and he helped make the night more enjoyable. There were just some little things that made the husband and me decide we’re leaning more in favor of Ruth’s Chris over Fleming’s(though we certainly wouldn’t turn down an invitation to dine at Fleming’s again). My husband isn’t much of a drinker, but he adores an apricot sour. It’s a weird choice, but that’s his thing. Fleming’s didn’t carry apricot brandy, so his second choice was a glass of 12 year old Balvenie scotch, which they had. I asked for a glass of Sonoma-Cutrer chardonnay, but they were out(sad face) so I settled for Kendall Jackson. Then out came the complimentary bread with two different spreads. Now this was a big thumbs up. I forget what the two spreads were(one was a blue cheese something with perhaps cranberries and the other was more a spicy cheddar concoction); I had to force myself to stop eating this. I lost a couple of times. We split the tenderloin carpaccio for an appetizer(the accompanying mustard sauce was delightful), and we both had salads. My husband had the wedge salad(which looked like a temple worshiping all things blue cheese and magical), and I had the Caesar(I apologize to everyone within a 50 mile radius of me for my ensuing garlic breath… I was pretty potent). We both had filet mignons(husband the«main» filet and I had the«petite» filet). I splurged by adding the truffled bearnaise poached lobster accompaniment, and my husband just went with a side of bearnaise. This is where we were a bit disappointed… the bearnaise just wasn’t up to par with the yummy deliciousness that we are used to at Ruth’s Chris. And while the steaks were perfectly cooked, I sort of wanted to reach for the salt(yipes!) because mine just didn’t really have a lot of flavor. And these babies weren’t cheap. The steak just didn’t wow us. We were too full for dessert, but my husband was gifted with a small box of truffles to celebrate his new job. It was a thoughtful touch, and he proposed marriage to Keith, our server(the husband REALLY likes truffles!). We settled on tipping Keith outrageously instead. So, overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but it just wasn’t enough to win us over as regulars.

I’ve eaten both the dining room menu and the happy hour/bar menu for a 200 dollar meal and a 20 dollar meal – both were excellent. Taking the bait and the upsell last time I was in, I tried the dry aged beef and had one of the 2 – 3 best steaks of my life. I had the New York Strip, but with the dry aged beef, it had the flavor of a well marbled strip and the tenderness of and a high quality filet. The side dishes, such as the corn and spinach, were also excellent. The service was impeccable, with a knowledgable server and sommelier even on a relatively slow Monday night. The happy hour menu in the bar was also quite good, at a MUCH lower pricepoint(around 6 – 8). One of my favorite things about Flemings, however, is the atmosphere and the design. You get the impression you’re in the sort of elegant place Frank Sinatra or Humphrey Bogart might have frequented in the 1940’s. Of course there are better places in NYC or Washington DC… but for Greensboro, Flemings is top flight.

My wife and I have frequented Flemings multiple times, usually on our anniversary. Let me first say from the minute you walk through the door that the staff begins to actively engage you. They have always been friendly and asked us for the occasion of our visit. We always schedule ahead of time and have been seated instantly every time. We have tried multiple appetizers; mushroom ravioli, soup, brie, etc., with our favorite being the ravioli. The ravioli pasta is cooked perfect and full of mushrooms and cheese. You get three large sized ravioli on the plate, covered with a delicious sauce and more grated cheese on top. For a main course, I always get the peppercorn steak with the F17 sauce. I’m a rare steak guy myself, the more red the center the better. Every time I’ve ordered it, it’s cooked perfectly. I usually get the Fleming’s potatoes or a loaded potato. And here lies one of Fleming’s downsides in my opinion. The sides, and I have tried multiple ones, never really live up to the steak. They are not horrible, but usually pretty bland. I would think with jalapeño in the listed ingredients, you’d get at least a tiny kick, but not really. On top of this, I’m already dropping $ 50+ on my meal, not even counting my wife’s steak, drinks, etc., and sides are not included. All sides are served a la carte and in the $ 10 range. We always finish off our meal with the molten lava cake and it has never disappointed. The cake is cooked perfectly, and once opened, spews forth delicious liquid chocolate! Our only complaint is it never seems to last long enough. We usually get some sort of desert type complimentary item as a gift for our anniversary, which is never expected, but always appreciated. The only down sides being price and the sides, I will continue to frequent Fleming’s for our special occasions.
