Every time I come, I am NEVER disappointed. The mates are very pleasant and are always available to lend a hand and give a few pointers, you are a new to fishing. The boat is never over crowded like many of the other boats I have been on and the music is so diverse, everyone’s musical palette will be satisfied. Every time I go, I break a previous personal best. The captain is personable and even comes on the deck from time to time to greet the guests and have a little small talk, which I thought, was very nice. My dad and I come out here every yr for a little father and son bonding time. I am glad that this year, I was able to share this experience with my bother this yr and he absolutely had a great time and swears that he is a better fisherman than me, lol, he has a long way to go.

The best open charter boat for catching big fluke, I live near Captree state park and have some fine fishing boats but by the time the Fluke get to them the larger fish have mostly been caught so the drive to Greenport is well worth it if you want big fish.

Two Boats leave from the Railroad Dock in Greenport, NY Daily. The Peconic Star II is for porgies/sea bass and fluke and leaves at 8am sharp. It’s about $ 85 and comes back at 3pm. This boat is better for little kids. The Peconic Star Express is for Striped Bass and Bluefish and leaves at 7am sharp. It’s $ 95 and comes back at 2pm. You don’t have to be an expert to fish on either boat, the guys are very helpful and you will go home with something to grill.
