VJ’s Salon & Day Spa

We recently moved to Colfax and I was looking for a full service salon. I called VJ’s based on the Unilocal comments and I was given an appointment for a mani pedi with Lucy. Lucy is simply amazing. She is professional, bubbly and extremely accommodating. I left feeling like I was walking on air. My sister-​in-​law from out of town needed a haircut and pedicure but only told me the morning she needed it done. I called Lucy and she got her in right away. My sister-​in-​law loved her haircut and Lucy.

Love Erinn Lee! Spent a delightful sunny afternoon at VJs getting a color & cut. I like a stylist who can give some creative input and work with my hair type (fine, thin & long.) She layered in accordance with the 2 tones of red & black that she put in my hair. Looks phenomenal

I just got the BEST haircut from Magdalena! She knows what she’s doing. If you’re looking for a new style, or just a trim, Magdalena’s your girl!

Erinn is a miracle worker! A stylist at another salon messed up my hair. It was sticky, waxy and absorbing all types of shampoo! Erinn treated my hair with a deep conditioning treatment and a wash and the mess was gone! Without her I probably would have had to have my hair cut off.

Well I went back to VJ’s Salon to get my eyebrows done and also recieved a hand wax it was great still loving the quite atomspher and the great service. So far I have only had Lucy Brindley help me but she is great and does her job well, She is awsome in her field of work. Thanks VJ’s

Virginia is truly an artist! Here talents are way beyond just giving you a great cut or color. Everything is considered including your face shape, skin tone, hair texture, and personality. On top of this, her cutting technique is precision and stylish. I won’t let anyone else get their scissors near my hair!

I found this place on another website and decided to give it a try as they supposedly offer specialized manicures. While they do use good products;the manucurists skill level (there’s only one here-Jessica)was less than desirable. I expected expertise but she seemed like she just learned how to do nails-​she was filing wrong and they weren’t completely even and the polish job-​Yikes! It was horrible. I had missed spots on my nails, it was sloppy-​you could clearly see the different levels of polish on my nail. My husband laughed and said he could do a better job. I was seriosly pissed as it set me back 35 $ (plus the tip) but I couldn’t tell till I had left cuz the whole time we were in a very dark dungeon like room which made me wonder how she could work in that environment in the first place. I haven’t tried the facials but evertyhing there is expensive so just spend your money wisely somewhere else.

I have had many many facials throughout the bay area and vegas and the facial here by Lisa was the absolute best! She was very attentive and kept busy the whole time during my treatment. She was either massaging my arms, neck or feet and putting warmers on them in between switching concoctions on my face. The 90 minute facial was the best but all of them were great. I have been here 4 times. I try to book an appointment with Lisa everytime I am in the area.
