I love Fable coffee! The Baristas are consistent. The espresso(and coffee) has a wonderful flavor. The tea blends are excellent. And now the newest drink, Bergamot Latte, has me craving the place every day!

Pleasantly surprised by this excellent coffee shop in Grass Valley. Rivals the best in Sac IMO. Cool vibe, small and cozy with passionate and knowledgeable baristas. Do check out

Good Latte. I don’t know about flavored latte’s as I don’t order them, too sweet. Latte’s are good, americano’s are good, I would like to see some of their beans roasted a little deeper: full city or vienna roast. They taste about like an american roast. Fable makes coffee, Fable makes coffee FAR better. These cats know how to do it. Better than the place down the hill, better than the place across the street. Maybe because that’s their focus.

No nonsense coffee. Kind barista. Simple and good. Ordered a decaf almond milk latte bc I am trying to watch my caffeine intake right now.

Really fine espresso. Had a perfect decaf latte. Excellent crema in a decaf. Flavorful with hints of bittersweet chocolate. Any coffee snob would dig this place. Just don’t be a dork. The folks here are genuine and passionate about their coffee and your experience.

The best coffee roaster in Grass Valley is now live. My long overdue review includes some specifics, like homemade chocolate syrup for mochas, and cupping practices. Picture someone who dedicates their time and energy getting things«just right.» Amanda makes sure her people are trained and professional, and keeps this swanky coffeebar running smoothly. And yes, the coffee is so good that someone coming from highly rated regional roasters like Old Soul or Temple would sit up and take notice. Don’t pass on Fable. They’re a solid, friendly, and clean establishment that is *very* serious about their coffee.

Very simple drinks and pastries done to perfection. I came in on a Sunday morning and was greeted by a proper barista. She was knowledgeable and sweet. It’s in a great location for access and people watching downtown. It was a lovely and balanced cup of coffee.

Coffee always on point, it is rather delicious… Buttttttt the lady that worked Labor Day weekend on Sunday morning was very drab. She stood and stared us, was not inviting didn’t ask or say“hi what can I get for you guys? Or have you been here before! I get this whole artisanal hipster thing it’s been my style before it was popular… But being nice, and smiles are more in fashion… They need more of that there… We were really excited to have some foam art because we follow their Instagram and were so excited to be treated to it and hers was non existent it was drab, it was like because we showed enthusiasm about it she didn’t do it… So strange…

This place is cute and welcoming. One employee(that we could see) when we went inside, but he was quick and friendly. I liked my coffee drink(an ice latte), but my wife wasn’t too impressed with their chai.

Cute little quaint coffee shop. Very friendly barista who not only made me a great almond latte, but also gladly gave me some pointers on local attractions. Specially about the swimming holes nearby that I was interested in. I am gonna say this is a a must check out coffee place in the historic town of Grass valley!

Alright, I’ll admit, I’m a coffee snob. I’m over the top when it comes to espresso. Some people search for the best poured Guinness, I search for the best pulled shot of espresso whenever I travel. I moved from Sacramento to Grass Valley and was nervous that I’d have to drive an hour down the hill to get a good cup of coffee, until I bumped into Fable. It looks like they’ve only been open for a week but the shop is super cute and very similar to my Sacramento favorite coffee shop — The Mill. Great layout, easy seating, and of course, real flippin’ coffee. Delicious coffee actually, correctly pulled Espresso and a fun vibe, this is my new go-to coffee shop for the years to come living in Grass Valley. If you’re looking for a properly pulled shot and want traditional coffee(you do know that a macchiato shouldn’t have a cup of milk in it, right?) this is your place. Walk a block up the road from your traditional routine and check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Welcome to modern coffee, grass valley. la marzocco, mahlkonig, ditting, and other familiar names fill the space. fine espresso and v60 pour over style coffee — local craft roaster roasting their own stock and doing it right. Minimal industrial interior vibes, check! don’t let Carolines fool you with their bitter cup of yesteryear, come up the street and check out the new kid on the block :)
