Love this place! Stacy, the owner and managers are awesome and caring. So many things I love about this North Texas Bikram Yoga. 1. Beautiful and zen like atmosphere. 2. Great dressing rooms with plenty of showers and toilet stalls. They provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in each stall. Also, they have lockers but you never need to worry about you stuff. 3. Variety of types of classes you can take: 90 Original Practice, 60 minute Bikram and now they offer a 45 minute yoga weight training class. 4. The practice studio is clean and although we sweat like crazy in the studio it never smells bad. 5. My fellow yogi’s are awesome and for the most part considerate of others. So arriving on time and not disruptive to the rest of the class. My advice for new people take the 60 minute class and work your way up to the 90 minute or weight class, however the schedule now varies so check the web site for the classes and times offered. Always do your best and don’t worry if you can’t do the entire pose and stay in the room. Those are your goals. I love how I feel when I walk out of there after taking my shower… my whole being is fresh and happy. Give them a try!

I have been here a few times with my sister and am more than impressed with not only the new renovation of the facility but the outstanding yoga instructors on staff. One of my favorite instructors is Jorina because she makes a point to get to know each and every person in the class. She is not only personable but goes above and beyond to make sure you are doing each of the poses correctly. So, if you are like me and yoga intimidates you(especially Bikram), then I highly recommend starting out here. You will not be disappointed!

I came back to the studio after about 7 months of not practicing and they completely redid the studio. It looks amazing! Very clean, open, bright and extremely welcoming! Finding a nice studio with amazing instructors is hard to find and this is definitely an amazing studio!

I got another groupon so I have been going here for two weeks now. They have renovated so it’s so nice! Again though nothing here makes me want to buy a membership. The workout is awesome, but the instructors are eh. I corrected one lady on how to say my name and she did not seem like she wanted to try it to say it correctly. I had an instructor today who was awesome. I love instructors who allow you to make the workout your own. I know my own body and know where it can go so please don’t tell me to go deeper into my squat when I just got done doing 5×5 squats at the gym before coming to yoga. The schedule is pretty good too… so go buy your groupon now!

UPDATE: After attending this studio I am seeing results that I haven’t been able to attain in a year and a half of practicing yoga. It is very hot and hard but the postures are very beneficial in getting a student to reach their potential. Without question this is a great place to shape your body and mind.

My first experience here was outstanding. As a first time guest they made me feel welcomed and comfortable. As a nervous contender my confidence and will power was easily uplifted by the instructor. Easy to follow as a newbie to Bikram practice and I like the fact that I was corrected. After all I want the full throttle of the workout since I am committing 90 mins a day of my time. I hurt real good after my first session, feels like my spine has been stretched and greased now I am ready to rumble! When asked how I felt after the first class I said this! «My body hasn’t shook and felt this good since I was sha-banging in the high rise suit of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Chicago for 8 hours with my Husband» I am not going to convert to a yogi… Dude I am Hipster Chic Deel wit it

The studio is really nice and in a great location. I signed up for the introductory month offer of $ 50, but I am uncertain whether or not I will keep going after that because the normal unlimited price is $ 99/month. They do offer a student/military/firefighter discount, but I am very disappointed that they do not include teachers on this. I know many of my fellow teachers would be much more likely to attend this location rather than a neighboring one in Southlake if the price were lower. Instructors: All of the ones I’ve had so far were great EXCEPT for one, who was extremely rude to me. It seems to be his personality and the other staff members apologized to me for his behavior when I was leaving, but it seems inexcusable to treat students this way. I found it very hard to have a calm and productive class after the experience with him. On the plus side, they have a class schedule with instructors names that I will be checking before attending any other class to make sure he is not the teacher! The facilities are nice with three individual showers and shampoo/conditioner and shower gel provided for you.

I enjoyed my first Bikram Yoga experience with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised and appreciative of the instructor’s encouragement. Holy sweat!

All the instructors were patient, helpful and had great attitudes. People complain about the smell, but it’s really not that bad. It’s also somewhat expected. You could NOT have anything BUT carpet in that room without people killing themselves during the postures. Like everyone else, my complaint is the pricing. The initial welcome $ 40-for-the-month pricing was great, and I could maybe convince myself to pay more and keep going, but it’s also just too far of a drive for me. With 90 minute sessions, it was just eating up too much of my day with that drive. If there were a location in or closer to Denton, I’d certainly re-consider!

I reeaaally like this studio! Pros: the instructors are fabulous across the board! Informative, helpful in postures, gracious, etc. Some push you more than others,(I prefer to be challenged in class) but they’re consistently good… The facilities are lovely, 3 different showers with bath products, spacious locker rooms, and they keep the studio exceptionally clean. Only«con»: a bit expensive, they offer a couple different price packages that are okay, but the monthly unlimited is 30% higher than my home studio: / All in all a great place to practice with a wonderful sense of community. I only practice here when in town visiting family and always feel welcomed like a local :)

I wrote a bad review of this place and they took it down! This place is horrible!!! The instructor that teaches on Sunday is a psycho! I thought yoga was suppose to chill people out but she has some serious anger issues. What’s worse is that the owner backs up her rude instructors instead of helping her customers. Don’t waste your time and money to go here!

I loved practicing here — great people, really attentive and nice instructors, and a beautiful setup. My major complaint is pricing, although it is on par with other area Bikram studios. If I could afford it, I would definitely keep up my practice here. Compared to Bikram Dallas, I found the instructors to give much better individualized attention despite similar sized classes. I was corrected and complimented frequently, something I really appreciated. The bathrooms with individual showers was also a big improvement over Bikram Dallas. Even the front desk employees are super friendly. There’s definitely no reason to feel intimidated about coming to this studio — everyone is welcome. Fingers crossed that prices drop or my income increases so I can get back to practicing here :)

I’ve been taking yoga here for four or five years now. I love Bikram yoga and I’ve attended classes at quite a few different studios across the US. BYG(now Bikram Yoga North Texas) is a great studio(the new Arlington studio is great too). They recently installed a new type of flooring/carpet in the room that makes a huge difference… no more smelly, wet carpet if you take class right after another class just let out. Every Bikram studio should have this flooring! The teachers are great too!

Overall, most of the instructors are very friendly and welcoming. I signed up for a 30-day challenge at a low introductory rate to test the waters. After several weeks of attendance, I noticed people greeting each other on a first-name basis. I attended after having surgery and needing a way to exercise without stalling recovery. I’ve been a runner for over 10 years and, despite what some may say, bikram yoga did not offer the same high intensity as running does for me. Bikram Yoga Pros: Team atmosphere Friendly instructors User-friendly for new comers Good, minty smelling shampoo in the showers The room is set to 105 degress and the heat feels great on tight joints and muscles. Bikram Yoga Cons: Pricey(near $ 60 a month for students!) The room is dark(claustrophobics beware!) The room smells like sweaty feet The room feels dirty because it’s so dark and the carpet looks old Bottom line: It’s nice but the Richardson, TX location is much cleaner/open/airy.
