Sovy catered my company event for 16 people and she did an amazing job! We had more food than we knew what to do with and everyone wanted her name and phone number so they could use her for their events. She is great at guiding you with what you should serve so you have something for everyone based on dietary needs. Her prices are reasonable and we will be using her again.

Holy smokes. I was introduced to Sophie today by my fiancé. Her curry is out of this world. Make sure to call ahead as Sophie really demands it. While she was super pleasant and attentive, I’ve heard some «Soup Nazi» stories about drop-in’s, so some forethought pays well with this Chef. Abundant chiles for you to customize your heat. Highly recommended.

What are the best lunches I’ve had in a long time. The coconut curry soup was amazing!!!

My mom and I decided to use Pullman Kitchen for my bridal shower. We met with the owner, Sovy, to discuss a menu for 20 to 25 guests. During the meeting, she mentioned we did not need to finalize the menu or guest number until it was closer to the event date. My mom contacted the owner two weeks before the event to let her know it would be 20 guests and we would be substituting chicken dishes for the fish dishes previously discussed. Sovy responded snidely that she typically does not cater events for less than 50 people and my mom was welcome to go elsewhere.
Elsewhere we will go. This was one of my mom’s favorite cafes and to say her feelings were hurt is an understatement. Sovy may be a decent chef, but she desperately needs to improve her customer service skills.

I have a new favorite restaurant. You should call as soon as they open to get the time you want, but this little kitchen puts out some amazing food at incredible prices.

This place is absolutely amazing! I cannot believe a place like this is exists in our area! I had the yellow curry and my boyfriend had the steak, we were in love at first bite! We will be customers for life and spreading the word to our fellow foodies! You must have Pullman! Call in your order ahead of time! Crème brûlée is the best I have ever had! This place is too good to be true! I am so excited to be hungry again, I will be returning again, probably this week!

We had dinner at Pullman Kitchen. Call your order in advance if you want quick service. We did not mind the wait, she served a complimentary salad which was delicious. The dressing was light, it had heirloom tomatoes, blueberries and strawberries in them. The soup had a good balance of flavors. She asked us how spicy we wanted it and I said four. She warned me that her dishes are really «thai spicy» and suggested 2.5. It was definitely what other restaurants would have called a 4. We had the thai curry with brown rice and that was delicious as well. You can tell that the veggies are fresh and cooked to order. She surprised us with a crème brûlée as well which was excellent. We loved the service & food. She gave my son a hot wheels car & won him over as well.
Go through peets to enter the market place. The outside looks very deceiving and we thought they were closed.

FRESH, FRESH, FRESH! That’s basically all I have to say! Detail in the food she serves. You can tell she puts in a lot of attention, preparation, love into the delicious food she makes! Sovy is friendly and an excellent cook. Had her red Thai chicken curry with lots of perfectly crunchy fresh vegetables like green bean, snap peas, eggplants, red sweet peppers, bamboo shoots, aspargus, mushroom and carrots. Would definitely be back! Her crème brûlée was delicious too!

My favorites are the kobe beef burgers, catfish and of course the coconut soup! Some of the highest quality meals I have ever had at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended

Sovy, the owner takes absolute pride in preparation and service of her food! It’s all prepared fresh and delicious! Highly recommend it all, especially her soups and fresh salads, everything is made with care. Pullman Kitchen has become a once-​a-​week (or more) stop for me since first coming here over a year ago.

My husband had the blue cheese meatloaf and I had the red curry with chicken and sticky rice. The plates come with a lovely green salad sprinkled with blackberries, strawberries, kiwi and shaved Parmesan cheese. We finished our salads and took half of our plates home!
Also have eaten the breakfast sandwich and my husband the breakfast burrito. Everything is outstanding. The owner Sovey, is so talented and kind. This is located in the Quarry Pond Shopping Mall. This restaurant doesn’t have a dining room but you find a table in the market hall. Also located is Faith’s Crepes-​about 20 crepes, sweet and savory, on the menu and their market, Dinelli’s. Saturday is the day when the fresh baked bread comes in from the Auburn bakery-​snagged a loaf-​it is delicious!.The crepes are devine. Again excellent.

I agree with Kitty H’s review. 5 on the food and 2 on service. I was so disappointed with my last visit (not the food) I have yet to return. Sorry but it may be some time. I hope they fix their issues and can build more loyal customers, I would like to see them succeed where so many have failed in the same shopping center.

The owner used to run a great show at Pullamns. It is unfortunately becoming very odd there. The food is good like always but she has become increasingly negative and speaking bad about others when they are not present. «Oh that is going to take a long time…» It makes for a very uncomfortable visit so I have given up going there.
I noticed she asks what people do for a living and treats people differently. It is one of those things where you just have to experience it.

Weird place. The kitchen is pretty unkempt and leads you to have thoughts of cleanliness. I got the breakfast burrito and it was okay, nothing special.

I have been to pullmans and had lunch a few times now. The food has been amazing every time, it might take a little time because everything is mad fresh to order, but it’s well worth the wait. She even gave me a complimentary crème brule with fresh fruit, it was the best crème brule I have ever had. Thank you sovy!

Great fresh, healthy, tasty food cooked by a Savoy, the one-​woman show.
I’m forced to eat out in the Roseville area 20% of my life (business travel), so I’ve tried just about every restaurant around.
Pullmans in one of the few places that can’t be described as a «butter ball» or «salt bomb».
The curry is great. The chicken noodle soup is my favorite.
Warning– It’s just her cooking so it is not fast.

This is my favorite little lunch break or take-​home-​dinner place. Don’t miss it— it’s tucked into the hallway of Quarry Ponds shopping center in a little booth. The food is eclectic but fresh. Hearty portions – almost family dinner style, but there are smaller size offerings too. Reasonably priced despite being situated in the heart of granite bay.
The heart of this place is its owner, Sovy. She makes a counter-​style restaurant seem homestyle and gourmet all at once. Twice, I have been offered a complimentary crème brûlée with fresh fruit. Don’t miss the Spicy Thai Coconut Chicken Soup!!! She makes it fresh on the spot and it’s soooooo good. She rates the spiciness from 1 – 5, with 5 being the spiciest. The «5» is truly going to make you cry (which I love), but don’t say I didn’t warn you!
Fine linens and wait service are not a part of this experience, but I don’t care. I keep going back because of the food and the friendly chef. Although I can’t speak for the catering, Pullman gets 5 stars from me!

This is a place to cherish. The owner is a sweet lady and her food is so yummy. The dinner menu looks superb. I have not tried but the in-​laws swear by it. Food freshly made and will take awhile, but you don’t always have to be in a hurry. Breakfast Burrito with chorizo is an A+

The Husband Who Can Fix Stuff and I are weekend regulars to Peets Coffee in Quarry Ponds and like to go over to Pullman’s and order the breakfast burrito (bacon) and fruit. Don’t let Faith’s crepes sidetrack you! They are good too but this isn’t their review!
Sovy or one of her weekend helpers tracks us down and serves the food on real plates with real silverware and cloth napkins. Then she comes back at just the right time to pick up the plates.
The burritos are great — not greasy — and she always piles on some amazingly fresh fruit. The other day she included slices of persimmon.
On weekends, have some patience because every thing is fresh and made to order. We’ve also had dinner — Thai chicken and Ravioli. Enough for lunch leftovers.
Please stop in and patronize this place if you’re in the area. Its in Quarry Ponds on Douglas — west of Barton. Enter by Peets and wind through the indoor marketplace. Sovy is the kind of person you want to support and see ‘make it’ in this tough economy.

Nice little breakfast place that recently opened up shop in the Market Place at Quarry Ponds. Its on the opposite end from Sarkisian’s Kabob.
