Avoid this place like the Red Plague. My family and I were forced from our home for three days, due to a septic line issue that had to be dealt with. We unfortunately ended up renting a room at this hotel. Through the course of those three days we were subjected to being cut off from using laundry facility, the smell of paint throughout the building, extremely dirty hallways, zero maid service, getting our own towels and toilet paper from the front desk, unsalted walkways, an unplowed parking lot, and a security door that did not work. Oh, and that unsalted/unshoveled walk way was covered in animal urine. Yellow snow terror. The topper to all of this was to see that they charged me an extra $ 100 after we checked out. When I inquired about this, they said it was because we were smoking in our room. That is 100% false. I tried to contest this through the staff and they said I would need to speak to the manager, who would never take or return my calls. I then went through corporate and just got the same run around. They stole $ 100 from me and there was nothing I could do about it. This place has quickly become one of those inner city type hotels that you normally would avoid. You have been warned. Bad Hotel + Bad Management + Highway Robbery = AVOIDTHISPLACE!

Staff and owner are beyond friendly and have gone out of their way to accommodate my requests. The rooms are dismal-looking, and could definitely be cleaned MUCH better. The rest of the hotel appears to be clean. The wifi is free, but the signal drops a lot(on all my devices). Hotel overall is very quiet and I don’t hear any commotion above me or in the halls. For the price($ 60 w/tax) I can’t complain too much, especially since it’s a home-football weekend and a holiday. Nice breakfast bar in the morning(bagels, English muffins, yogurt, fruits, juice, coffee…). I give staff, owner and price 5-Stars. The room I would give only 2-Stars.

Have stayed here once a week for almost two years except for when there is a Notre dame home game and they jack the rates up almost 7 times their normal rate. The place is pretty clean and beds are comfortable enough. I recently had a bad experience and will refuse to stay here ever again!!! The owner or GM(I’m not really sure which) called my room after being there for 7 hours to ask me if I would give up my room because they were overbooked and I get a discounted rate. If you would rather give up a guaranteed booked room every week to make a couple extra dollars for someone that might stay once or twice a year, then so be it. There are 19 other hotels in a 20 mile radius that I’m sure would be happy to take my money.

Yes, this is a budget hotel but the staff takes pride in what they do and keep a nice hotel in good working order. They were all so caring while we were in town for a funeral and went above and beyond in many ways to accommodate us all. Very caring folks, thanks for your hospitality.

Was expecting something similar to quality of red roof in Sacramento, ca. Not! Close to freeway, it’s favored by truckers and low budget, a questionably rough crowd. They liked to hang outside smoking and talking into wee hours. Though we felt safe enough, we didn’t feel safe to leave any valuables, ie., computers, etc., in the room when we weren’t in it. But then, we are also on tight budget. It’s clean, worn out, bedding cover had holes on undersides, comfortable. Slept well enough, though don’t usually in strange beds. Carpets also worn and stained. if you are on tight budget, it’s good enough… But really, given a choice, I’d consider paying a little more to get better quality and safety.
