Oohwee! I’m new to the area and tried this place based on the reviews here and on Google and I am so glad I did. We had the brisket, fried pork chops, greens, green beans, sweet potatoes, potato salad, and chocolate cake. It’s not often that I can say this but we loved everything we had! The service was also great and I will return to try some of the other meat they have.

This family business is the example of quality service and excellent food. A rib joint with Wifi. It’s rare that you can get both great service and food. I had the turkey sausage and BBQ chicken both great picks. But the Sauce man I wish I could have taken that with me in my carry-​on. I will be sure to visit again whenever I’m in the Dallas area.

Location was a bit difficult to find. Place was small and uninviting. Cashier wasn’t that great, however the owners seemed very nice. Had high expectations for this place due to the other reviewers, very disappointing. Ordered a loaded potato which was average, and definitely not worth the price. Would not recommend, will not return.

I would recommend to order online or call to place an order to prevent waiting for your food.
I had the pork chop sandwich which was amazing. The only thing I didn’t like was the potatoes salad in my sandwich only because it made my food fall out. It was pretty messy. I would prefer it on the side. The seasoned fries were good too.
My husband order the Texas chicken melt which I tasted and it was really good. A little to buttery or oily, but it taste delicious. he ordered sweet potatoes fries but I preferred the seasoned fries.
I see other items I want to taste also so I would be going back.

Easily the best food in the DFW. Friendly service and good Christian people! I have eaten many things on the menu but the best by far was the Tuesday special the greens were amazing and the chicken was fall off the bone.

Monday special was smothered port chop with mashed potatoes. I included the green beans are my other side. All in all an above average meal. The chop was breaded and crispy the gravy had good flavor but was a bit too salty for me.

Don’t be scared by the exterior or the locals will keep this gem all to themselves. Keep in mind, you aren’t here to meet new ppl so get past the non uniformed employees to the awesome aroma of this establishment, complimented by the soothing sounds of upbeat jazz. !! The food is amazing. The reason for 4 stars is their small menu and non existent sitting area (6 chairs)… and they’re lack of homemade desserts. Constant flow of customers. Made to order. Don’t miss out;)

Friendly staff and everything, but even great customer service couldn’t make up for the ribs. They were without question the worst ribs I have ever had from any restaurant and possibly anywhere at all. Yes, they smelled good and taste was passable, but as others pointed out, they had the texture of shoe leather. I see where others loved the BBQ and maybe that is good, but after the rib experience, I won’t be back.

The food is fantastic, i can vouch for the ribs, the hot links, and the chicken. The peach cobbler was awesome. The customer service was great, both the guy who took my order and the guy who delivered it were very friendly. We will definitely be ordering from them again!

I went here for the first time today and the food was soooo good! I got the smoked sausage, baked beans and sweet potatoes. I took one bite and couldn’t stop eating. Another plus about the restaurant is how nice everybody was. I’m not sure if the guy in the front was the owner but he took the time out to offer a sample of the peach cobbler to my friend and I. It was good enough for me to get more to take home. If you want good down south soul food, I definitely recommend this place

We went here last night for the first time. The extraordinarily friendly staff took very good care of us. We left our fate in their hands and let them select our take out order and we were not disappointed in what they put together for us. We had ribs, brisket, chicken, corn, french fries, biscuits, cornbread and a container of barbecue sauce. The ribs and brisket were very good but the chicken was the star attraction — it was simply outstanding and perhaps the best chicken I have had in a very long time. The barbercue sauce was also really good. The sides were excellent. While we waited for our order they gave us some samples. A very positive experience and we will definitely be back.

It is a restaurant honky tonk combination it is a fun bar Restaurant combo food was very consistent not over the top we both had hamburgers nothing truly special the music was nice atmosphere for a honky tonk was very nice
The one thing that I did notice is the bar was kept very clean and their beer lines were cleaned out every beer was served around 37 degrees it was crisp and refreshing I’ve found those Texas bars do not clean out the lines and I’ve been very cautious when I go into them overall clean upscale honky tonk with good music and pretty good food it seems more like a party place

First timer here… Very small but very clean and nice Lil spot!!! A lil pricy… The fried pork chops were very good and seasoned. The cabbage needed a lil salt and pepper but after that they were tasty! The Mac and cheese was very creamy but it also needed a lil salt and pepper too. Overall this was a pretty good spot I mean it’s not (Madea’s Home style cooking) by far but for a local joint it’s pretty good and worth the try… I will return to try the barbecue!

I stopped in to get a kids plate for my daughter. The cashier (gentleman) had the best customer service ever. This establishment was very clean. The rib plate was enough to feed an adult. The ribs were tough and she didn’t finish. I tried one and yeap… She was right. The wait time was about 15 mins. I would be willing to go back and give other menu items a try. The menu doesn’t have a huge selection of choices, However they do have daily specials.

First time here. It is a small spot. Very clean, the staff & owner are very welcoming. I got the turkey taco salad, it was amazing. As soon as I can eat real food. Im coming for the ribs. It smells so good in this place it makes your mouth water.
