So another couple and my date and I went here tonight to bowl after a lovely dinner. We stopped into Starlite about 9:30 after looking online to see if they are open late for bowling. Which on the web said they did late night bowling. When we got their they said they closed in a half hour due to lack of customers. When we pulled in there was a set of couples in a car complaining while they left that you weren’t open because of lack of customers. If you would commit to a closing time you would profit much more as a business. Call ahead before you drive out to this establishment.

The wife and I were staying overnight on a thrilling exotic adventure to the great lakes while visiting my parents. After a hard day of reminding myself why I will NEVER move to Michigan during the winter, we decided some rec time alone was in order. Did my wife want to grab some bubbly and go to the spa? No. Candle lit dinner somewhere intimate? No. She wanted to go bowling. *!#&%^$. Anyway, my obvious irrational hatred of bowling aside, we moseyed on over to this fine establishment. The place was fairly busy for 8PM on a Monday night. This alley has definitely been around since the 1960’s. The computer system used to track our scores predated my birth. In fact I think one Commodore 64 powered the entire operation. Honestly it was refreshing not to be blasted with some over the top cheesy(!!!STRIKE!!!) animation every time my stupid wife showed how superior she is at this game. The hard wood lanes were extremely well maintained. The bowling balls were large and round, I have no experience in judging this manner. My wife said they were quality and I didn’t question her ruling. The over all ambiance was definitely older, but cared for. For the two of us, it was $ 10 for two games with shoe rental included. Drinks were very cheap. Oh, in case you were wondering, my wife once again annihilated me. Twice actually. Dammit. My one concern was the attached full bar they have. I asked for two shots of Jameson, and I was informed that this particular liquor was not currently stocked. Unacceptable.
