This place was terrible. Really not my favorite. For starters the wine menu needs to be reworked. The selection is really terrible. I ordered the salmon. It was SO oily/greasy. I literally had to use a napkin to get the excess grease off and not to mention I couldn’t finish the entrée it was so gross. I personally can make a better salmon. The waitress was not knowledgeable on any of the wines and often disappeared. I can list off numerous wine eateries that this particular place needs to take lessons from in Fort Worth. Fort Worth is only a half hour away spend your money there. The venue is very cool. Its the only reason it gets 2 stars. Just wish the wine and food lived up to the hype.

Dined hear again, May 1, 2016. Had the fish special, see photo, and it was out of this world good. I actually came in craving pizza, but the special sounded good, so I tried it. I am so glad I did. The jalapenos, picked I believe, were not too hot and added the perfect amount of zing to the dish. Served on a generous bed of pasta, with a basket of hot rolls, this meal was delicious. If you ever see this special, get it! You won’t be sorry. Bumping my rating because of this dish(rounding up), as I think 4.5 would do it. I still wish there were slightly less expensive«wine by the glass» options. I would likely drink a second glass if price was not so high. I am not a wine connoisseur(by any stretch of the imagination), and«less sophisticated» wines don’t bother me at all. Bottom line: Pizza next time, unless this fish special is back!

Sat at bar for lunch, 8 minutes to server, who didn’t know what a Chianti was or that hamburger isn’t a choice on pizza(even though they serve burgers, probably prefabricated). No more wine by the glass(at a «winery«)! Lasagna(special recipe had no ricotta, sauce watered down and straight from a can(included garlic bread had to be ordered«because of waste«arrived when half of my entrée was done), potato soup bland, pizza great…

Stayed at Casa Farina last night, and ate at Farina’s. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the Salmon which is a risky choice since I’m picky about fish. It was cooked delicately with just the right texture! It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes, and a lovely olive covered side salad. My friend ordered the lasagna, and loved the flavors! The B&B was as beautiful as the restaurant. I recommend both!

Randomly ended up in Granbury and happened into Farina’s on the square for dinner– it did not disappoint! The food was great, and the server(Holly) was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered a bottle of locally-grown wine, which was lovely. It was a Friday night and there was a guy singing and playing guitar in the corner of the bar, which contributed to a mellow and fun vibe– not rowdy and too loud for dinner, but enjoyable to have live music and hear songs you know and like. I had one of their pizzas, which was thin crust and personal-sized, which was exactly what I wanted and tasted fantastic. The server also brought me a side of pesto, since I was having such a hard time deciding between the pesto pasta dish and the pizza, so with the pizza and a small bowl of pesto it was the best of both worlds! The pesto also tasted as fresh as if it had been made to order. My husband had the lasagna, which was spectacular. It also tasted light and fresh and was delightful– sometimes restaurant pasta is so heavy and gummy it tastes like it came from a grocery store freezer. He even raved about the side salad that came with the lasagna! If you have the chance, head to Granbury(really cute little town!) and eat here.

This was our second time to visit and the service was bad both times. First they tried to seat 4 adults and 2 kids at a 4top table. Then the server took forever to get drinks and take our order. She just kept apologizing. We had to consistently ask for refills on our drinks as it was not done automatically. Then the chicken we ordered was not cooked thoroughly. We sent the chicken back with who we thought was the manager; but the girl never told us who she was. The server had no idea we sent the chicken back so there was definite lack of communication between the staff. The«manager» came back to the table and basically said«so you want me to box that chicken up to go»? We at first said no, but then we just told her to take it off the bill. She said OK and walked off. They brought the check and never once said thank you or anything.

Came here Sunday evening for a family dinner. Let me just start by saying aesthetically what a beautiful and romantic place ! When I walked in I was just entranced by the beautiful antiques and candle light setting . Our waitress was very kind and amiable. It seemed like she truly cared about our experience and cares for the place she worked. For drinks I ordered a frozen house made sangria. It was AMAZING!!! I had two(and probably would have ordered a third of it wasn’t for my boyfriends family treating us). Our waitress even said she personally made it ! For entrees the 4 of us each ordered something distinct on the menu and I can say all the plates were clear by the end !(expect for mine but it’s cause I filled up on bread) . They bring you salad and or soup before the meal along with fresh bread. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the salad. I didn’t like all the olives and didn’t find the two pieces of pepperoni on the side to be that fresh. I ordered the Italian chicken entrée. I think my boyfriends dish was better(the white fish) because although mine was pretty good I wasn’t crazy about the sauce on the chicken. Was kind of heavy and not very Italian at all. The waitress said it was her personal favorite but I would not order it again personally. However, everyone else at the table enjoyed there entrees so I would love to try something else . Now comes the fun part, you have to save room for the desert menu ! There are so many wonderful choices. We ordered three desserts for the table and just passed them around. We ordered Coconut cream pie, cappuccino pie and the kahula cake . My personally favorite was the cappuccino pie. I am not into coconut desserts though . Overall my experience at this location was great. I would love to come again on a date night and perhaps a Friday or Saturday night when they have live music.

Great place in Granbury! Excellent service. The long bar is a fun place to have a glass of wine. Very Historic. Lunch menu had a nice variety. I had the famous Lasagna which was excellent and the side salad that came with it was great. Garlic bread was SO good, could have eaten the whole generous basket. Would love to go back and try the Pizza or one of their other Entrees. Our great server, Molly, offered to let us taste the wine before committing to the whole glass which was such a nice touch. Overall very pleased with the food and service!

Great menu and the service is really good, but they struggle with large groups. Interestingly, they aren’t slammed on Sundays for lunch, so that is probably the best time to take a group.

Went in last night for dinner, beautifully decorated and very open, I was kind of surprised at first when they only had unsweetened tea and four or five sodas to choose from, oh well. Ordered the pizza with Pepperoni, sausage and green olives, the pizza was perfect size and very good. Service was was alright, overall I was surprised by the quality of the food, most winery’s don’t get that part down.

First, let me say that Texas wines are quite the hidden gem among wines! I mean, who thinks of Texas when you think of great wines? Well, think again! We wanted to give Farina’s own blend a try and we did. I had the Farina’s White Blend from their vineyard in Grapevine, TX and my husband had Farina’s cabernet, which was very lovely. Our server was not very well-versed in the wines, but at least she did go ask what was in the white blend instead of just saying, «I don’t know.» We appreciated that. My husband had the Black and Blue burger and it was good with a side of fries, too. My order, however, was comical. I ordered a «side of garlic coleslaw» and a «side of asparagus.» I cook ALL the time and I know my measurements by sight. The«side» of garlic coleslaw(which was actually delicious) may have been a few level tablespoons — - at most, for $ 2.50. I don’t even know where they found a serving dish that small to put it in. Perhaps at a shop that sells serving dishes for doll houses. It was the equivalent of 2 bites of food. The«side dish» of asparagus for $ 3.50 included 3 spears of asparagus, 3 tiny, wilted spears. In those portions, that is a GARNISH, not a side dish. People, come on. I was still starving, naturally, so I foolishly ordered the side salad. Haha! I don’t blame Farina’s for that, I mean, I did just experience their interpretation of a «side» not once, but twice. If there is some kind of cabbage shortage in Texas, I would rather pay more and have an appropriate portion, not have it doled out like it’s Almas caviar. It was by no means dismal, but it was disappointing. Cute place though and well-located in the historic town square. Easy parking close by, too. And their wines are nice.

This is my favorite date night place in Granbury. It is a beautiful place– nicely decorated and really cool antique touches. They have a terrific wine list– I recommend the Thomas Goss. I am a huge salmon freak and they do it with style and it is always perfect. They do an orange glaze that you can request that is truly amazing. The cappuccino pie is to die for with a Koda port. De-lish!

We had an early dinner here on a Saturday night. Our waitress provided very friendly, attentive service. My wife and I shared the cheese plate as an appetizer. Plenty for both of us and very good. My wife had the Scitlian Style Marinated Steak and thought it was very good. On the advise of our waitress I had one of the specials — a shrimp pasta dish that was outstanding. Also on her advise, instead of a salad I had a cup of beer cheese soup and it was just as good. For desert we shared a piece of cappuccino pie. Will come back again.

Great place to dine. I had the sausage and potato soup, which was a little cold for my taste, but it had great flavor, and it tasted great with the garlic butter bread. The lasagna was right on point, and a glass of merlot only made it better. Staff was friendly, but not as attentive as I’d like them to be(water glass was empty for 10 minutes before refills), but it could also be that they were doing closing duties, since it was almost closing time. Lastly, the air vent near the back has a little leak and cold water droplets would fall either on the edge of the table or on my shoulder every 15 mins or so. Catches you by surprise at first, but it wasn’t a very big deal.

I’m going to do this a bit differently. Pros: 1.) Romantic setting. 2.) Everything looks new with marble top tables and lots of wooden furniture. 3.) Live music to go along with your meal. (country singing duo) 4.) Good wine selection(I liked that they had some Texas wines available to try— I had the Messina Hof Pinot Grigio) Cons: 1.) Very dim lighting in the evening. 2.) We had to wait a while(maybe 7 – 10 min) before the server came to greet us and ask for our drinks. Which would have been ok if they’d been busy, but they were not. 3.) Once we HAD been greeted, the server was very indifferent with us throughout the entire stay. Only when she presented us with our bill did she utter more than the usual«Is everything ok?» 4.) My entrée was pretty bland(Basil Pesto Penne with Meatballs). Though the pesto contained a sprinkling of pine nuts, I could hardly perceive it’s flavor. For $ 16, I expected more, especially since the restaurant looked so nice. 5.) My side salad came out very warm, and some of the lettuce was wilted. I don’t think that I would return here for dinner. I might try it for lunch if the prices are half of the dinner price, which run about $ 15-$ 23.

surprised for a wine bar the list was short and very… ecclectic menu. So I had a texas blend by Farinas– that was excellent and a meatball sandwich which was good just odd for a wine bar. Service… hey its a wine bar if my glass is empty hurry and come sell me another! Cute place great view cool ambience and nice staff. My waitress saw I was having a hard time with the menu and suggested the sandwich it was a special– yeah sure… I was there for the wine anyway! :)

What a great little find! We decided to have lunch here the other day and I’m so happy we did! We chose to sit on the patio(which I definitely recommend doing) and a very nice lady showed us our table and took our drink orders. I had the frozen peach bellini and my boyfriend ordered an Elissa IPA, both of which were great. We had the bruschetta, it was so tasty! I had the spaghetti and meatballs and my boyfriend had the blue cheese burger. Let’s just say that we didn’t talk much during that meal! We couldn’t stop eating for long enough to get a word in:) Our waitress was excellent! Very nice and attentive. The overall experience was excellent! We will DEFINITELY be back!

Dropped by one afternoon for a later lunch. The staff was very attentive, the wine selection look good(some TX, CA and Europe). The Southwest Salad was crisp and the right amount. My bf got the Alfredo Chicken and said it was also good. Reasonably priced and normal-sized portions. Will come back to try out dinner.

What a great place. We needed a cold drink on a hot July afternoon. Tried the sangria and frozen peach bellini. Both were very good. Outdoor patio is really great but too hot on that day. Yes, it is your usual expensive tourist trap but we really enjoyed it and so will you.
