Tried to go for breakfast on Sunday; the address listed looked like it had been closed for a while.

I have never gotten a bad meal at Rob & Crystal’s. I tend to go there with my family in a party of 5 or 6 and we are always happy with our food. They have the same specials every day but that is fine since they are very good. I tend to get a soup and salad because I am trying to eat better and I don’t feel like I have gotten a sub par meal because of that. A grilled chicken salad along with a cup of soup will only run you about $ 8. My family tend to get steaks, scallops, and chicken dishes and it is all good. My father in law is a picky eater and very fickle. At Rob & Crystal’s he is happy. The wait staff are super friendly and always say Hello, take care of you, and see you off. Be sure not to fill yourself up on dinner because the desserts are out of this world. The woman that they get their cakes and pies from does an amazing job. I am not really a pie person but her Raspberry Pie is too good to pass up.

This is a greasy spoon diner if ever there was, but that’s okay with the locals(the rest of them anyway); many say it’s one of their favorites, I just don’t see it. If you like things fried and a daily special sign that often reads«Chick Parm/Haddock» [sic] then this is probably your place. Personally I like food that tastes like food instead of old grease. It’s unconfirmed, but rumor has it these are the same people that ran Big D’s Diner/Teri Lyn’s/Jeri Lyn’s(and even possibly the very small diner that was down the block on South Main for a matter of months).
