Great Pub! good food, solid pours, great homemade desserts. Every time we go here we end up staying for a lot longer than we intended too. I like the homemade soups and the burgers are very good. Its walking distance so even better.

Great bar with pub food near the Gloucester/​Rockport beach areas. Full of comfort food such as burgers, Mac N Cheese, etc. We had the Mac N Cheese, a burger and the Warren’s request, which was essentially a spicy panini with different types of meat. Margarita was a bit average, came served in a pint glass and was really tart.
Shout out to the couple with 2 toddlers who came in expecting a kid friendly menu. You should probably stick to Applebee’s.

Food was good and ok. Had the wing appetizers, very good. Had an Eric burger and fellow diner did the Mac and cheese. Burger wasn’t bad, but didn’t stand out either. Mac and cheese was ok, nothing to shout about.
Service was slow, but they seemed shorthanded, so I understand. Put $ 70 on a $ 46 bill, confirmed I wanted change, and got two 10s and four 1s. I usually tip decent, but $ 10 on $ 46 when you’re going with a check in every 10 minutes (5x maybe) is a bit much. Would go elsewhere next time I’m in town.

I have been here a few times with my boyfriend. He loves this place and now I see why. The food is delicious! The service is great as well. They have good beers to choose from and especially good drinks in the summer even early fall. I am a huge fan of the steak tips and macaroni and cheese. I always love the Back Shore burger too though. The pub sauce is amazing and you have to get it and put it on everything, you will not be sorry. The only thing I do suggest is getting a separate bathrooms, it’s a little awkward. I think they should expand personally! We went twice to eat there this week =x

This place has amazing comfort food. The restaurant is a bit cramped, but it only adds to the charm. The food is top notch, especially the macaroni and cheese and the not Gary’s dip. The only place to go in town for true home made comfort food

Stopped here for lunch before a business meeting based on the Unilocal reviews. Atmosphere was want I wanted, which was local. Bartender was friendly and just a great place all around. I had the pulled pork sandwich which was very good. Reminded me of the old Wind Mill in Stratford CT before it changed, local good people and good food.

So the story goes like this… I went to Rockport, Ma. to visit my good friend who owns the 9 lives café… Since her café was closed we went out for lunch in Gloucester … I had my heart set on getting a roast beef sandwich at a diner we used to frequent when I used to live in Beverly, Ma. … My friend asked me if I’d mind changing it up by going to a different spot. She assured me their food was really good… So I said «sure, why not»… I’m so glad I did… I have to say… I had the tastiest, freshest and juiciest grilled chicken sandwich of my life!!! I’m 46 years old and have had my share of grilled chicken sandwiches. But none compare to this one!!! It was called a «Double Chicken Grilled Sandwich» it came with a very fresh bun, lettuce, mayo, bacon, cheese and a fried egg!!! It was on the special of the day menu so I’m
Not sure how often they make this… It was out of this world delicious! The waitress was very pleasant, it’s a comfy environment and the music was good and not to loud. My friend enjoyed her meal as well! We also shared a slice of apple cake which was very fresh and delicious. I would totally go back there and highly suggest this establishment to anyone if you want really good food and service!!! 5 stars across the board for the «Stones Pub» in Gloucester, Ma. !!! It totally inspired me to write this review!!! Bravo!

This is one of those hidden gems that you are almost hesitant to talk about because you are afraid of never getting a seat again! The chef makes magic in a four by four kitchen space and the staff is overly attentive. The usual pub fare is kicked up a notch. Make sure to have cream of mushroom soup if it’s available. And by no means should you skip dessert. Boozy Bundtcakes to die for.

Came here with my dad and husband about a week ago. They have limited seating available (the building is awkwardly shaped), but really tasty homemade food, and Stone’s is one of the most reasonably priced restaurants in Gloucester. All 3 of us ate for $ 50, including drinks and appetizers. The BLT was more bread than anything else, but the loaded chili is amazing. A bowl of it would have been a whole meal. My dad and husband got the burger and both said it was excellent. Will definitely be back.

Stone’s Pub is trying to be more than just a pub and the results are mixed. The steak tips and the chili dog were both really good. Cooked well, seasoned well, served by a very friendly bartender. Things went downhill a bit from there. The «Cajun fries» we’re just normal fries with a few shakes of Cajun seasoning. Most of it fell off onto the plate. The grilled cheese sandwich on the kids’ menu was a hamburger bun with american cheese cooked in a panini press. My suggestion is leave the kids at home and go for more of the pub experience.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. The pulled pork nachos were so good and a nice change. I had the turkey club with Cajun mayo. That mayo is to die for. Highly recommended restaurant. It would also be a nice place to go to if you just want to hang out at the bar.

I was on site yesterday for the first time. This place is awesome. great casual pub atmosphere, locals, ice cold draft beer (rare these days), and one of the most delicious handmade burgers I have had in a very long time. Combine all of this together and this place is a must, and I know I will be returning in the future as I am frequently in Glowsta. This is my kind of place. No fuss. Great food. Clean. Oozing a great energy. Our server was pure awesomeness.

Probably one of the best burger places in Gloucester! I had the burger with egg and peppers on it and it was to die for. The sweet potato fries were great too.

Great local spot, food was mouthwateringly fantastic.

Stayed in Rockport to be close to Salem for Halloween with my wife & daughter. Checking out today, my daughter got ill, with fever, coughing and nausea. After a brief barfing session, she was hungry, so i picked the Stone Pub to eat at. So glad i did.
My daughter had a delicious mac n chz, i had a great Reuben, and my wife the chili dog. All really was very good, but the service put the place over the top. Such a sweetheart working the bar and tables at the same time, she made us feel so welcome while the weather was so miserable outside and our daughter barfed yet again into a bag right at the table. Very positive experience here.
Very cozy atmosphere, and they have little puzzles and games, too, so you never need to leave!

The owners wife makes wonderful deserts! Unbelievably good so save some room. I highly recommend the Peanut butter Bacon Cheeseburger here.
