Great Mexican food! This place has been in business for 70+ years and has some of the best Mexican food in Eastern Arizona. Great chips and salsa(two kinds — both excellent). It feels like you are going back in time at Gauyos, as it has this 1960’s feel to it. Great friendly service and excellent Mexican food.

We really liked this spot. They bring both sweet salsa and a more spicy choice to the table. We came close to closing time on a Friday and they gave us great service. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meal, it has a lot of seating for a restaurant in globe– so that is definitely a plus as well!

Solid, family owned Mexican food when you’re cruising that stretch of the beautiful Sonoran desert. Everybody in our group enjoyed their food, cold beers and awesome service provided by Tammy. The homemade flour tortilla chips and salsa were stand outs, along with the hatch chile chicken enchiladas. Will definitely come back, even if Tammy snags my beer again during the photo op. Good times!!!

Excellent burros and albonigas soup. Great service and the owner came out to wish us all happy new year. Recognized my mother in law and high 5 the youngster at the table.

Old, vile building. It looks dirty inside. I ordered«mini“enchiladas; they were humongous. Three covered ¾ of a platter plate. We were in a large group that had made reservations at least 30 days in advance. We were seated in a private dining room. For over 30 people we had one server. Part way through our meal another large, loud group was seated in the same dining room. My food was good, my husbands chili rellano looked like a plain naked breast implant.

Best Mexican food in a 100 mile radius — been coming here for years. Not too salty, very authentic.

My parents(from the Valley) have raved about the food at this place for years. Made my first visit here today and really enjoyed it. Chips & salsa were very good — hot salsa is nice! Ordered green chile half/half and it was excellent as were the beans. tortillas with my order were fresh and homemade(yum). Will return in the near future.. Very clean restroom, too.

Was a great place just outside of town. I had the white menudo with buttered tortillas and it was excellent. Funny what can be found while out in rural Arizona. Real authentic Mexican food.

I drive to Globe just to eat here. It is that good. I also take a cooler and pack up more to take back home. LOL if you love great food and a killer price then stop by. If you are heading up to lake then swing in here and stock pile for the afternoon. I love all their food, it is just amazing, cannot think of a better word, just really good. It does get full at lunch and dinner so get there little early. Price is awesome they are just honest and good people.

This is the standard by which I judge all mexican food. Family owned business passed on from generation to generation with authenic homemade recipes. I will drive 2hrs each way just to eat here.

The food was great, as is most of the Mexican food in Globe, however the service was terrible. I was there yesterday, the server brought our food and rushed past our table several times. I felt like I was bothering her when I quickly interrupted her for a refill on my water. She never offered another drink to my husband, we inconvenienced her once more. We had been here before and were looking forward to it. We will not be going again.

We were referred to this restaurant by the park ranger at Tonto National Monument. She said that it was the best mexican food in the world. Perhaps I am spoiled by living in SoCal or perhaps I just prefer a different style of Mexican, but I believe she was sorely mistaken. The food wasn’t terrible. And I was pleasantly surprised by how good the margaritas were. But certainly not the best in the world, nor in the Southwest. Both the chimichanga and the combo plate of enchilada, tamale, beans, and chile were about $ 10. Seems a bit overpriced, especially for being in the middle of nowhere. It was clear that my combo plate was done first since there was a film sitting on the beans from being under the heat lamp. Also, while our server was charmin and helpful, the restaurant was very in-your-face(signs on the menu guilt-tripping you not to use credit and around the restaurant apologizing for not thanking you, which they didn’t) about preserving small businesses and small-business charm, but the servers were overly concerned about who had what table and not helping the customer and the cashier seemed bothered when I went up to pay. That said, it seemed like a place for regulars so they must be doing something right for the locals.

I’m new to the area and wanted to explore a little bit. My roommate and I stumbled on this restaurant and decided to try it. I ordered chicken tacos with rice and beans. I was expecting soft tacos but the crispy tacos were an unexpected surprise. The food was pretty good, although the chicken was a little bit too dry. I liked the two different salsas they offered us. Many options on the menu so it’s a little overwhelming, but I think it’s worth trying if you’re ever in Globe!

Good home town cooking in the Globe-Miami area! The chips are delicious, salsa is spicy(just the way I like it). I had the enchilada combination plate and it was good, though could have been spicier(I didn’t ask for it hot, which might be my bad). Also, they had a good salad for those healthier folks-and those are harder to find in these little towns. I’m going back next time I’m in town for work.

We always go out of our way to hit this restaurant on our way home from Tucson. The food is always great. I totally disagree with all the bad reviews about the staff. We have never experienced a rude server on any of our visits. As a matter of fact, the one waitress even remembered us from an previous visit months earlier! But I do agree that the chip bowl is a little skimpy. Regardless, Guayo’s has great tasting Mexican food that makes the trip worth it.

I liked it. Food had clean fresh taste. Red chili sauce tasted homemade. Service was prompt and friendly. Devore was quirky but in a good way. Priced reasonably

Sometimes its good, sometimes not so good – its never great but its never quite bad. This past weekend, I ordered my usual favorite – green chicken enchiladas. This time, there was no flavor, little sauce – smothered in cheese and nearly inedible. Its not worth sending back – one it doesn’t cost much and two, the folks that work there are about as friendly as a porcupine.

Very good Mexican food. The red and green chiles are both very flavorful. The corn tortillas are excellent. Both the regular and hot salsas are fresh and delicious. The chips are a little bland, but that’s why you have salsa. Shredded beef tacos are nice and juicy, with just the right amount of salt. Always worth going to if you’re going through Globe.
