Rock Gardens Rafting

These guys were great. I went with a group of about 25 and everyone had a great time.

What a great place. They have pretty decent packages that include your lunch for the day. Our guide was Jarod who was excellent. Very informative and funny. If you’re in the area and are looking for a place to zip and raft this is the place to check out.

My first time rafting and it was a blast! We are in Glenwood springs for our family reunion and the rafting staff was really great. Able to communicate and entertain all ages alike — our group ranged from 5 to 68 years. Our guide, Lucien, had us in stitches with his very corny jokes and good spirits all around. Highly recommend this activity and if you are lucky enough to have Lucien for a guide your day will be made.

Went on the rafting and zip line trip with my kids and friend today. We had a blast! The staff is courteous and a huge shout out to our raft guides Dane and Jeremy. We did the Double Shoshone and had a great time. Worth the money to spend the day on the Colorado river.

Mike was EXCELLENT! Me and the Family loved every minute of it and learned A LOT of cool lil tidbits of information. My son thought the coolest thing we learned was about the dinosaurs.

Had a blast. The kids really enjoyed it. First 20 minutes are level 3 (helmet wearing kind of rapids). After that it’s a beautiful ride with some ½s sprinkled in.
The guides were a riot and made the trip very fun. Very knowledgable of the history of the area as well. Make sure to tip them at the end!
Some other deets: Shoes and wet suits can be rented for pretty cheap. (Like $ 3 each.) They will keep your keys and other things you don’t want to lose safe at the start point. Your guide may also have a dry box on board. They take pics along the way at the beginning where the rapids are. $ 10 a person and you get a DVD of the files you can then have to print/​Facebook/​email whatever you please. (I’ll post a great shot of the kids here.) Outdoor bar at the resort where you start/​end is fun (need better beers on tap guys).

This was my first rafting trip in Colorado and I couldn’t have chosen a better establishment. The guides were very helpful, friendly and funny. I bought the ½ day Shoshone trip but ended up having to do a different section of the river because the guides said Shoshone was unsafe that day with the flow speed of the river. The rapids were nothing too daring. Not once did I feel unsafe. Even my 8 y/​0 did great on the trip and got to help steer the raft. My trip was in early June and the water temp was 48 degrees F. We opted to buy the wetsuits and wet jacket but in hindsight not really sure we needed them.
My family of 6 also bought the high adventure package along with the raft trip which included the ropes course, rock climbing wall and zip line.
The no name bar and grill on property was fantastic with excellent burgers. The bar staff was very friendly and made my kids a free smoothie!
My only complaint is that picture taking was not allowed and to buy pictures from the company was pretty pricey :(
