Best sports bar in Glenwood Springs. Casual, cool & clean. Inventive bar food. You can get the typical well loved bar food, but they also keep it on the edge of trendy. They keep a couple local beers on tap & the service is always fast & friendly. They have plenty of medium to large screen tv’s and have all the sports channels you can handle. Voted best in their class frequently.

Great food and very friendly service. Visiting from out of town, but highly recommend giving this place a try if you are ever in Glenwood!

Need to right-size the overall rating. As a sports bar — mediocre. As a restaurant, pretty weak. Dirty plates and silverware, slow service, pedestrian menu.

Food wasn’t bad, our server was sweet but she didn’t know anything she had to go ask the bar 4 different times what type of beer they had. The food took a long time and the bartender was extremely rude. Jessica was our server she was very nice but she needs to know the menu and beer better. I would recommend this is a locals only place not for people stopping by. The locals were very loud, rude and a tad creepy!

Well this place looks like a local dining place specifically as a sportsbar. Parking is a bit small, building a bit dated thus less one star. They have several tvs and one huge one in main area playing sports of course. I am not really a sports person per say but I am a foodie. This place has fabulous food. Our waitress, Nina, was great. Our table ordered the fish & chips, sliders, fried shrimp, sherry mushroom soup, big salad, 2 prime ribs. It seemed everyone enjoyed their meal. I had the prime rib, medium with daddy fries(a must have) and veggies. It was ssssooo delicious, tender flavorful and hit the spot after long drive from Highlands Ranch. Definitely try this place out. Try to come before peak hours(lunch/dinner) to avoid long waits that affect customer service.

We were very skeptical going into this sports bar BUT the atmosphere is amazing and the food blew us away. I got the Papas Burrito with beef and it was one of the best things I have eaten! The staff was incredibly friendly! Also there is a coupon on Unilocal that they honor. WOW!

So much potential but terrible service. The food, if it ever comes out of the kitchen is good, 50% of the time. The other 50% the foods never arrives at the table.

Don’t be fooled by the outside décor. The food was excellent and the service was great. We came on a slow Monday night however it was still more than expected. All food(4 of us) was cooked perfectly. I tried the big daddy fries(made with parmesan cheese and rosemary) and they were a hit with all of us. My wife says the mild wings were a little spicy but she thinks everything’s spicy ;) We ate at the brewery last night and we definitely prefer this place…

No. Just no. Worst chili fries ever. Like a plate of burned fries that had been sitting out all day, then they threw chili and cheese on them, put them in the oven, and forgot about them. Burnt again. Also the ambiance sucked. There was hardly anyone there, which should’ve been our first clue. except a table of drunks next to us. It must’ve been one of their birthdays because every 5 minutes one would yell«it’s my mother f@ckin birthday». All night long. Ya we get it. Happy birthday drunk chick. A group of 7 walked in about 15 minutes before they closed the kitchen. The waitress kindly told them to get their order in because the kitchen was closing. When she put the order in, we heard arguing and a series of «f@ck you» coming from the kitchen. Then one of the kitchen guys came out, stood by the table, physically counted the 7 sitting there, shook his head, and started swearing all the way back to the kitchen again. The only and I mean only thing that was good, was that our waitress rocked.(Gal with brown hair, dreds and glasses). That’s why I’ll give the one star. Waitress deserves a 5 for putting up with everyone. She was also the only one serving that night.

This place is awesome. We like to stop here anytime we go through Glenwood Springs. Their burgers can’t be beat! The Mac n cheese wedges are also good. The Ty Cobb salad was delicious as well.

Visited early Saturday to watch a college football game and have lunch, the food was awesome! We had the bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers… definitely not to be missed! The blackened, smoke chicken nachos were also incredible! The bloody mary’s we had were the smallest I’ve ever had, and definitely can be passed up. The music didn’t seem to match the bar, but overall a good visit!

Big Daddys was a refreshing change of pace from the«popular brewery» we left b/c of poor service. Laura provided top notch attentive service and backed it up with a Bloody Mary special, awesome burrito, and quesadillas. Big Daddys brings it!

Great experience! We came in to watch two different games and Charlotte was extremely accommodating about putting both of them on in the bullpen for us. We are big fans of Moscow Mules and they make the best here. Charlotte was personable abs on the ball with customer service! We will definitely be back.

This is a hard review to write, and I will in detail describe to you why. It is currently Valentine’s Day weekend and my girlfriend and myself are visiting Glenwood Springs for a romantic getaway. While here on our first night(Friday), I decided to use Unilocal to find a nice place to eat. Unilocal did not let us down, as it introduced us to a voucher special to Big Daddy’s Sports Bar. It was a deal that we could not pass up. So, like most people, we looked into the reviews and were quite happy to see an overwhelming love of this place on Unilocal.Sign us up, we’re in! So I bought the voucher and we made our way to the restaurant. I did warn my girlfriend of a review telling us to overlook the exterior of the building, as it does look extremely run down, but once you enter the place it becomes your typical sports bar. One interesting thing that we did not get to investigate was the downstairs basement of the restaurant that apparently houses pool tables and such. We had planned to go down and see the basement, but out experience brought that to a screeching halt. When we entered Big Daddy’s there was only two other tables occupied. We only saw one waitress and a bartender, which at the time seemed acceptable considering the lack of people. Perhaps that it was a Friday night on Valentine’s Day weekend, alerts should have gone off. Alas they did not. We took our seats at a booth, as a sign instructed us to seat ourselves. Promptly we were greeted by a waitress, her name was Kennady. She was polite and courteous, and that’s when things began going downhill fast. Three small groups of people came in shorty after we were greeted and she began making rounds throughout the restaurant. We ordered two mixed drinks, two waters, and two appetizers(jalapeño poppers and the pretzels). She then did more rounds and came back and asked us if we decided on our meal. We then ordered two burgers, the carnivore and stuffed burgers, both without onion or tomato. She then verified our orders, which told me our previous drinks and appetizers had not been ordered yet. She then left and did more rounds. We found out that the waitress working all the tables in the restaurant was new and in training, without a trainer. Her knowledge of the menu was deplorable, and anytime a question came up, it was normally answered with, «I don’t know, I’m new.» Finally our drinks came out, minus the waters, and eventually the appetizers came shortly afterwards. Both of the appetizers were amazing. The reviews on Unilocal about the jalapeño poppers were spot on! Shortly after the appetizers came out, I got the waitresses attention and asked for our waters. She quickly fetched them for us, and we continued feasting on our delicious appetizers. We asked for napkins, and never saw them. At a very reasonable time after our appetizers our burgers came out. We asked for napkins again and also eating utensils. When she finally came back to our table several minutes later, we reminded her again on the utensils and napkins. She the. Pulled out a wad of napkins from her apron and handed them to us. Shortly after she finally came out with utensils and apologized because they didn’t wrap utensils that night. My thoughts were, «SERIOUSLY!!!» We then went on and began eating our burgers. Dear sweet baby Jesus were they incredible. Mine came out with the onion and tomato, which was no big deal, I just dumped them in my empty appetizer plate. My girlfriend claimed that her stuffed burger was perhaps the best burger she has ever had. What was funny about this statement was that almost immediately after she said that, we overheard another table repeat the same thoughts. Throughout the night, our waitress seemed to become more and more overwhelmed and at times flabbergasted. She came to our table at one point with the bill and we asked for to-go plates and then she ran off without handing the bill to us and then coming back with one small container, not nearly large enough to hold half a burger and a pickle spear, let alone the leftover pretzels and poppers. She also came back without our bill. It was from here on that she proceeded to ignore us completely when we asked about the bill, and for thirty minutes she walked around us cleaning, and never acknowledging us while we sat there confused and wondering what the hell was going on. She ignored us. Completely. My girlfriend thought that we may have insulted her in some way or upset her, but the girl straight up ignored us for thirty minutes and we have no clue why! My girlfriend wanted to walk out, but that’s not what we do. We were so torn. Here we are on a Friday night at a restaurant that has perhaps some of the best food we’ve ever had the pleasure of eating, and yet the service is so absent and deplorable that it doesn’t make it worth the trip or the savings from the voucher. In the end, we will never return here in any of our future trips to Glenwood Springs, and I hope your visit is better than ours.

Being from out of town, we weren’t sure about coming here after seeing in the appearance of the building, but after confirming with the folks at the Courtyard we opted to step inside and ignore the rough exterior. Fortunately, it was a great experience. There’s ample TVs to enjoy games, wonderful service and the staff is friendly and warm, even to outsiders. And, the food is well above average, even for a sports bar. We started with chips and salsa and were excited to learn the salsa is made on site and tastes that way. In addition, all three of us had a bowl of green chili soup, which wasn’t as good as it is in New Mexico, but rivaled that which we’ve eaten in Colorado. The main meals were a hit. First off, portions are huge. A cow could fill up here. My patty melt, although I later realized it was on a regular bun rather than grilled rye tasted awesome. The beef was well seasoned, cooked perfectly and well worth every bite. The Mexican burger my friend chowed down was tasty and the burrito was bigger than an normal human could eat and tasted excellent. When driving through, or staying in Glenwood Springs, this is a great place to watch games, have a meal with a family or save money by avoiding the high prices places downtown, without sacrificing too much flavor and one of the few places where the outside doesn’t reflect the inside.
