Walgreens

Pharmacy is terrible. Employees seem to enjoy being slow and making you wait. Stood there, in an otherwise empty store, for almost an hour to get prescription filled.

Came by to buy hand sanitizer and a beverage. Total was $ 3.35. The clerk man asked if I wanted to use my points to help pay for the purchase. Yes in deed, I do. Total then was 35cents for two items. No other Walgreens has ever asked me that question. Guess what? This is my go to Walgreens even thou I live near Evanston, Illinois. Thank you clerk man, you made my Friday a little better. See you again dear front counter man!
This store is very clean!

I cannot believe that after all these years that this Walgreens location pharmacy cannot get their act together. I have switched pharmacies for a reason. But we happen to be next door, so I thought what the heck. NEVER AGAIN. This completely unacceptable on how long it takes to fill a prescription. I have some pretty serious words for you and your staff, but I won’t use them.

I’m thankful to all the employees who work at this location. God know when I need something but all the shops are closed this is the place I’d visit. The store looks amazing after its remodel long ago and the staff is always helpful.

This is a pharmacy review. I called the local Glenview Walgreens telephone number, spoke to a polite lady who told me the medication we were calling in was in stock at this Walgreens and would be ready in less than an hour. I arrived two hours later and was told that they in fact never had it in stock, and that it was a call center I spoke with who made the mistake. Furthermore, if I had known earlier that they were out of stock, I could have called another pharmacy before they had all closed.
Nice job Walgreens.

I really dislike Walgreens. It makes me feel bad when they overcharge me because I won’t sign up for their rewards program. I used to shop lots at Walgreens, now I shop very little there because of their «rewards» program aka tracking software. CVS is much better anyway, with the bonus that they don’t make you feel bad by overcharging you.

My 4 year old son was not feeling well, so I took him to the doctor for asthma, fever and upper respiratory tract infection. My little boy was already tired from the doctor’s appointment. He was very cranky and was running a fever. I went to Walgreens to pick up the prescription. I know I had to go inside to pick it up, as I have to buy Children’s Tylenol too.
My son started crying and refused to walk. I didn’t have a stroller with me. My son is pretty heavy about 44 lbs. I don’t think I can make it to the counter from the parking lot. I called Walgreens and told them about the situation. They took care of my order and I was able to pick it up from the drive through.
I love their customer service :)

It’s being completely remodeled. I felt like I was in an entirely different store. They are expanding the store and they completely turned the entire store around. The aisles used to run east-​west and now they are north-​shore. Seems like there will be a more extensive food and cosmetics sections.

Business as usual for a Walgreens. However the pharmacy is a bit scattered. I have used it 6 or 7 times and they have «lost» my prescription, or cant figure out the insurance, etc, etc… for your everyday needs its a typical Walgreens. but if there is somewhere else to take your prescriptions, do.

The Walgreens store is exactly as it is expected plus more. The personable and friendly sales associates greet us and are always willing to help me find what I need.
The regular ladies are always helpful and ready to answer questions. I am here quite often during different times of the day and find the business continues to provide the goods and knowledgeable staff.
Kudos to the makeup department sales lady. My daughter and I love to find her and say hello on our way to the pharmacy.
I have to also increase the star rating of the pharmacy as well and do not hesitate when sending in my prescriptions or asking the docs to fax here. Quick tips and coupons come my way from the pharmacy department and the many dealings I have had makes me confident to shop here. The pharmacy is open 24 hours along with the store.
Watch out when crossing through the parking lot. You can easily find yourself trying to dodge a Soccer mom in her minivan, but do not worry, it’s not me. My kids play piano!

COUNT YOUR PAIN PILLS!!! Twice I had to refill prescriptions for pain medication after dental surgery and both times they bottles were a pill short. Never happened with my non-​pain meds. When I called the Walgreens headquarters they said they would invesitgate and call back but never did.

I saw the other rating and I must say that I completely disagree with the star value. Yes, the other person’s situation was not nearly as wonderful as mine was, but I have to give a good thing it’s dues when it is a good thing. And this Walgreens is great.
My baby girl came down with a nasty looking eye infection on New Years Eve. Being nervous first time parents, we called the doctor and he prescribed some goop to put in her eye and make all the crusty stuff go away (oh, what fun things you get to think about being a parent!)…Being NYE, and considering that I live close to a troglodyte filled Walgreens, I didn’t want to go there to pick up her prescription. The doctor suggested that I go to the Glenview location instead (since he knew it was 24 hours).
I drove over there and decided to go inside instead of going through the drive-​thru (which they also have). I walked into quite possibly the largest, most well-​lit, beautiful Walgreens I’ve seen in quite some time, and you know that I’m a Walgreens aficionado. I found the pharmacy counter quickly, and the pharmacist told me that my prescription wasn’t ready yet, but it would be soon.
Five minutes later, after I’d looked at some of their wonderful face creams, I picked up the prescription and went back home to celebrate NYE with my family.
Babygirl is all better and mommy is happy. Five stars, Walgreens, for being so efficient and convenient!
