Expensive but so worth it, ruined me for life! Can’t find as good of sushi anywhere… Can’t wait to go back!

The best sushi I’ve had besides Yasuda when he had a restaurant in New York. It is very expensive, so be ready to drop somewhere atriums $ 150/head(this estimate includes tip). They don’t list their prices, either, so it’s difficult to keep up on where you’re at. But if you’re looking for a special night out, this is the place. People who say this place isn’t very good have no idea what they are talking about. Yes, it’s expensive. Yes, the chef was not as inquisitive as Yasuda when he queried my fish preferences before omakase. Yes, they’re not super-friendly. And yes, it can be slow. But damn… it is good. Like — best meal I’ve had in LA, good.

It’s been a while since I visited this place and forgot to review. I was the only one there and was treated like royalty. As much as I wanted to hold conversation with Chef, each bite of immaculately prepared fish turned my thoughts elsewhere. I made it to the blue crab roll and could go no further. I was in sushi heaven here. Over a few rounds of sake and a beer, he told me he picked up his fish every morning from the docks and fish markets. This place is a hidden jewel in Burbank. I won’t lie. It’s not cheap. My solo bill with tip was $ 120. But it was so worth it.

Completely legit. If you are not investing your sushi money here you are missing out. A couple tips. Expect tradition here. No fancy rolls. Don’t over use the soy sauce, even though it is homemade. And… finish with the crab hand roll. Because after that they will need to wheel you out…
