I would recommend that you find somewhere else to eat, the food was horrible, I ordered pork wonton soup and pad thai noodles to go, and the pad thai noodles were barely edible. Please save your money and go somewhere else and I would not recommend.

I have to dispute all the bad reviews I see posted here! This place has really good food. It is a family run restaurant and so there can be a few glitches occasionally as they are overwhelmed sometimes at lunch. But if you don’t take yourself extremely seriously as a person who needs special treatment… it’s fine. You might have to wait ten minutes. And they are not effusively welcoming… they are reserved people who seem to be working very very hard in their restaurant. Their popularity in the neighborhood speaks for itself. It is ALWAYS crowded. I particularly like their Drunk Man Noodles(very spicey) and their tofu mint leaves(ditto) Their barbecue chicken and chicken satay are also very good. Have never had a bad meal at this place. I love it.

So far all dishes I’ve tried here have been great. Not fantastic, just great which is still worth a visit and your time. The décor is a little(a lot) dated but thats okay, I’m not eating the décor. It seems to be a two man show with a cook in the kitchen and the one server(owner). All in all, service is good. I work close by so its very convenient. I can recommend the chili beef, pad thai(all kinds), and the tom kah kai soup. Their thai iced coffee is amazing, but that isn’t hard to do. The cucumber salad is a good addition to most dishes. I’m definitely coming back to try more of their dishes. The owner could be a little friendlier but I just don’t think thats his style. He’s still okay in my book. This place doesn’t accept AMEX.

Love the yellow curry. Great place to eat at if you’re eating alone. The owner isn’t the most welcoming person in the world, but it’s not a big turnoff for me.

This place is a serious joke. Once you open you’re menu it’s like ur in 1991 all over again. Their menu has items that say discontinued in the price column… Are you kidding me? Lol all their prices have little cut outs placed and glued to update their prices. The décor in the restaurant is like walking onto a set from Lethal Weapon 1 with green carpet. When I walked in, no greeting from the owner who acts as server… The guy does not even acknowledge you. He came up to my table and set down a pitcher of water. Walked around for another 4 mins before returning and asked«do you know what you want?» I ordered drinks… a Thai tea and a singha… He looked at me like I was an idiot because I didn’t know what I wanted to eat. He goes and does laps for another 4 mins, does not have my drinks. «Are you ready to order?» I was already annoyed. He went on to recommend me the pork ribs after I asked. Finally he came back with my drink in another 3 mins… In total 11mins for my drinks. When the food came the ribs looked like they were saved for 1991. Dry and reheated, however my rice was amazing if that can even be a positive. I’d come back here for rice and Thai tea! That’s embarassing This guy should be nowhere near a restaurant. He could burn a restaurant to the ground all by himself. He never checked back to see if I liked my food. Once I was done it took him almost 10 mins for me to get my check and a Thai iced tea to go. Again… No thank you when I left and I was not rude during the whole ordeal. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. This place has nothing going for it. This guys mom needs to slap him in the back of his head.

I’ve been here many times and have always loved it. However, I noticed there weren’t as many people during a lunchtime rush as usual. Probably due to the fact that there were no longer lunch specials. We were hungry so we stayed. Service, as usual, was the normal bad service which is expected unfortunately. But maybe because me and my 2 coworkers were in our walking clothes & didn’t give off the«business type» the server walked past us many times in order to get to another table with 3 men in suits that came in after us to tend to them instead. Plus they were served their meal before us even though we placed our order at the same time. I asked for the chicken and broccoli w no sauce. The server was rude w his response«how else are they going to cook it?» He didn’t have to be so condescending about it. Honestly their food was mediocre & not worth going back there for rude service & no lunchtime menu options.

Good thai restaurant in downtown burbank. The service was fast and the restaurant was clean. The drunken noodles and pumpkin curry are delicious. Parking can be hard to find. Park in the parking garage near the AMC16. This restaurant is a short walk from the parking garage.

I’ve been here multiple times mainly for lunch. Here is a breakdown of the dishes I’ve tried: 1) Pad-See Ew with chicken and broccoli — Very good. Noodle is cooked well and their flavor is good. 2) Lunch Special(Shrimp Fried rice) w/BBQ Chicken or BBQ Ribs — Both are solidly good, good amount, and their fried rice is great. Get these type of dishes if you are very hungry. It will definitely fill you up. 3) Noodle soup(Flat white noodles) — this was ok. I didn’t enjoy the flavor of the soup compared to other places. 4) Pad thai — this was ok as well. Nothing bad, nothing spectacular. This is my go to place for thai food, something quick, or when there is nothing else to eat around town(Which is quite often!!).

Came for lunch… and didn’t have anything. Waited about 10 minutes before my eating partner had to walk up and ask for service. That’s not the bad part. The bad part was when the disgruntled owner told us that food is going to be late. As if he wanted us to leave. So we did! Lame!

Been to Chinda twice so far, and the service by the owner is consistently RUDE. The food is a bit bland and over-cooked as well. but I stress the owner who waits the tables there is RUDE.

Still working my way through the menu. The chinda spicy fried rice is ridiculously spicy but delicious. The crab fried rice is great the next morning for breakfast with a couple fried eggs and sriracha. Weird hours and the service is meh but good food for the most part. Pad thai is amazing. Pass on the eggrolls.

I love Thai food, but I am sorry — this place is just not that good. I have tried them several times now, because I work down the street and my coworkers do «Thai Tuesdays» at the office. The only thing I have tried here that I actually enjoyed was the Chinda fried rice — spicy and pretty good. Otherwise, everything else that I have ordered from there is bland and just not very tasty — even the wonton soup. They don’t have lunch or dinner combinations, so it’s a little frustrating to order one $ 8 dish and just be stuck with ONLY that. No egg roll, no salad, no combo platters. I am going to try to convince my coworkers to order from a different place. This can’t be the only Thai place around. Siam Smile is not too far away on Magnolia, and they have combination plates, they deliver, and their drinks are much larger. One thing that I will say about Chinda is that they have a very extensive vegetarian section of the menu, that many people would probably appreciate.

Not gonna totally murder this restaurant because I eat habanero peppers as a snack BUT… When someone orders a dish THAISPICY, and reitirates to please have your chef make it as spicy as he has ever made it. Then ones expectation upon eating that dish is for eyes to water and mouths to go numb. You are a THAI restaurant, please uphold the THAI standard and MAKEITSPICY. Otherwise the food was tasty. Thus the three stars, but will take my spicy self elsewhere when in the mood to get burned.

This is a great Thai spot. The food is great. Everything my friends and coworkers try from here they love. The food is always fresh and very flavorful. It’s a mom’s and pop’s type of place. I personally haven’t eaten in the restaurant because my work is 5 min away but it’s got a cute comfy atmosphere. Number 80(pork pad woon sen) is so damn amazing lol. The glass noodles are buttery and the pork is always cooked right, always comes out juicy and not dry or stringy. Their panjang curry is the best I have had so far. It’s super spicy but you can ask for it to be mild, I always do lol Their pad thai and pad see ewe is great, both not dry. The prices are pretty much similar to many other thai places. If in Glendale definitely check it out, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not a huge fan of Thai food, but when everyone else wants Thai, this is one place I know I can find plenty to choose from. I usually go with Pad Thai, and it’s good here. Prices are relatively cheap, the menu has well over 100 choices, and the food comes out faster than you can imagine. Wait staff is good too.

I typically get the S-4 which is the chicken satay, shrimp fried rice, and cucumber salad. The satay is absolutely delicious. It’s marinated in a sauce that I can only describe as heaven. The meat is tender and oh so juicy. It comes with a peanut sauce that pairs well with the dish. It’s a tad oily, but well worth the calories. The rice is moist and flavorful and it typically comes with two medium sized shrimp. The cucumber salad is small in size, but packs a punch as diced jalapeño peppers are mingled in a sweet/tangy dressing. The restaurant itself is located in an older strip mall and is a mom&pop kind of place. If you’re looking for a fancy Thai restaurant this is not the place for you. However, if you’re craving some good food and a reasonable price you should give this restaurant a try! I also recommend the pad thai!

If you are in the mood for atmosphere and flash, then look elsewhere. However, if you are having one of those«off days» where you need some food to comfort you and make everything all better, then look no further. As everyone else has already stated, Chinda is a Mom & Pop establishment in every sense of the word — and yes, it is hell for us during the month that they close for vacation, but they need a break just like everyone else. My wife and I have been coming here for roughly 12 years, largely for take-out, though they do have a dining room. Onto the food… The Tom Kah Kai soup is liquid penicillin, guaranteed to get rid of any cold — I have tried it in dozens of other Thai restaurants and none of them taste like this. It is hard to describe the way it differs, but friends of mine agree that there is something perfect about their recipe(though I have noticed it can vary in spiciness). The rest of the items on the menu — beef satay, panang chicken, chop suey, chicken curry — are tasty and fresh. I never feel bloaty afterwards like I do with Chinese food. And while the food is not cheap, I feel like they give you enough quantity and quality to justify the price. After all these years and all these take-out orders, we have never had a single bad experience. Not one. While we are not elitists, we do appreciate good quality and consistency over flashy décor and pizzazz. Then again, we are a married couple in our forties and are not looking to impress anyone. Keep up the good work, guys!
