I love this place, I was having some friends over from Maryland. They were impress every step, drinks, food, service. Small place with a big heart. Congratulations.

Overpriced mediocre fish and unfriendly service. I ordered salmon sashimi and in addition to having a neon-hued orange color, the fish was mealy and bland. The special roll came with topped with black pepper tuna and marked with a smattering of some generic mayo-based«special» sauce and a heavy sprinkling of black roe. Either the sauce or the tuna had an «off» taste that was apparently immediately upon making contact with the palate. The roll was edible, but for high-quality sushi for similar prices, a North Shore sushi lover would be better off opting for the nearby Kotobuki.

Though I would love to be selfish and keep Kiraku all to myself, the quality and service is too good to hide. There’s no doubt this place will become more and more popular among people who appreciate quality sushi at good prices.

I like this place– right down the road from my job. I’m not a sushi fan, but they have good sized portions of chicken and beef dishes as well for the«meat lovers» to enjoy! Could use more parking spots, but at the office, we get it delivered. :)

I am a regular and always will be! I been coming here for years, since the grand opening. They have the best rolls! Very well priced. Great décor. Huge selection of saki. Sushi is very fresh. Fast service. Great presentation! Kevin is always a gentleman at the door! Peggy is my number one girl there! Sooooo good!

A hidden gem. Sushi is delicious and always fresh. My favorite is the tuna tataki appetizer. It is sooooo fresh and delicious and perfectly seasoned.

Sushi has been amazing, I rather go here than kotuboki. The sushi is fresh and làrger rolls. My new sushi spot!

Any place with traditional Japanese seating with your shoes off wins my heart. Great place to catch up with friends and sip some saki. Extensive menu with many specialty rolls and great none sushi options.

Went here with my sister last Friday for dinner. I was glad I called and made a reservation because the place was packed! I had the lychee martini and my sister had the mango. They were potent and delicious! We also ordered two appetizers, four rolls and a dessert to split! For the two of us we ordered quite a bit of food so the bill was rather high, but everything was delicious and the service was swift. The tables are a bit close together so be prepared to try and tune out other conversations or learn ALOT about your neighbors. There is not enough parking in the back parking lot when they are crowded, so be prepared to park on the street or in one of lot’s across the street. This is a great gem I’ll be happy to return to!

I love the food, service is a little bad, but the rolls are really good. I think that you should have a roll. they are so good, you should absolutely have them

My company loved their special rolls. I liked the Tom Yum Soup, even though it was not hot, just warm. The spicy edamame didn’t come close to competitors’, and the salmon sushi was lackluster, no oil, sheen, and the sushi rice tasted old. Service was poor and manager ended up having to pour tea. We were given plastic envelopes with hand wipes that had been mircowaved instead of freshly laundered hot hand towels There was no complimentary fruit dish such as melon or pineapple at the end of our $ 100 meal.

I love this place and so does my entire family. If we want good Japanese food and nice service, this is a great place. Sushi and cooked food is always great! I only wish it was a little bigger because when it’s busy it’s hard to get a table even when you make a reservation.

This has been our go to place when we are craving sashimi, we usually just order the omakase and let their chef decide for us and when uni is available we definitely order a couple rolls On weekends and holidays parking in the back can be limited and usually we can manage to find a spot not too far away I guess part if the fun is when you order something and have no idea how or what it suppose to be, so far we have not yet been disappointed

EPICSUSHI. Better than Kotobuki. We got dynamite to start, but the clam there is awesome. Tons of special rolls, would cater to any mood or palate. Limited parking.

Came in with family for a graduation dinner. The black jack roll was very good and tasted fresh. For dinner, I had the seafood & baby bok choy entrée. The small lobster tail that came with this dish was overlooked as were the shrimp. However, the ginger sauce was tasty. The service was attentive although our waitress seemed a little lost at times. While I wouldn’t travel out of my way to eat here in the future, I would give it another try if I was in the area.

I’ve had Kiraku bookmarked for a while, and after some of the really not-so-great places lately, I wish we had come here sooner. It was so beautiful out on Saturday afternoon– we had reservations for 7:00pm but were starving and it was only 1:00pm. A nice short drive away and we were in the private parking lot of a well manicured property with an inviting entrance. Once inside, the clean and inviting décor prompted us to ask for one of the booths along the left wall. Shoes removed and nestled into our private booth, we were ready to sink into some good food and some cocktails. The lychee martini I had was excellent and the green tea martini she tried was good as well. Follow these up with some hot saki and now the food can come! Anytime we can get some good ceviche– we are in. Being presented in a martini glass kept the theme we had going on. It, was fresh, tasty and devoured within minutes. We also tried the spicy lobster spring rolls. They came out hot and savory with a dipping sauce that we wish we’d had more of. We followed this up with a dragon roll and some delicious miso soup. All of the food we really very good and the service was friendly, quick and intuitive. They seemed to know when to come and clear plates or refill a water glass. We surely didn’t have to, but spent the better part of two hours enjoying our food, cocktails, and the atmosphere. I’m sorry we had waited so long to try this really cool Japanese restaurant and I’m sure we will be back.

Eh. It was okay. Our favorite, Kotobuki, was closed, and I was desperate for something relatively light after a weekend trip to the Texas State Fair(home of fried butter). We got the Sushi Deluxe(10 pieces of sushi with a tuna roll), the chicken yaki udon, and the Jenny Roll(tempura shrimp, avocado, topped with spicy tuna and little crunchies). The sushi was not good. The rice was cold and bland, the seaweed on the roll was soggy, and the fish, while thickly cut, was a bit stringy/sinewy/chewy. I was not convinced of its freshness. The Jenny roll was good, but that might have been because there was so much going on you couldn’t taste the fish. The fried udon noodles were a bit oily, but nicely flavored. And warm! Our three items came out to $ 58 including tax and tip. This was rated 26 on Zagat… disagree. I would say maybe 21 or 22. J thought it was between 22 and 23.

My office gets take out from Kiraku a few times a month for lunch and I’ve grown quite fond of the Teriyaki Salmon Bento Box. For $ 12.95, you get a lot of food. The miso soup and salad that come with the Bento Box are average. I’ve also sampled a few rolls, Crispy Duck Spring Roll, Haru Maki, Shumai and Gyoza, all of which were pretty tasty! Definitely worth a try if you’re in the area, and if you work nearby they also deliver.

So Im in Long Island and I get sushi cravings. Open up the Unilocal App and start picking a new place to try. Came across this restaurant so I come inside. The ambiance is nice and the décor is pretty calm. They also had a television so I can watch some Knicks while devouring my sushi. I ordered the Sashimi combo and almost everything was really fresh, but surprisingly the salmon wasn’t as fresh as I had in most places. This is sad because I love salmon so much. The prices are average. The restaurant’s also operated by Chinese people, not Japanese. I can only tell because I understand when the workers speak to each other. Not necessarily a bad thing, but from my experiences. the Chinese owners like to cut costs and get lower quality ingredients.

Nom Nom So, I’m in the mood for sushi and being on two different ends of the planet we decided to meet here for some dinner and catching up. I finally got to order the«ship» of sushi– I’ve always wanted to do that but never had anyone along that could that much sashimi(admit it– most of you are roll people). In any case, we had the ship, some lychee martinis and all was well. They still try to shove drinks down your throat which is tres annoying so I’ll hold off that last star until they change that practice.
