Peanut butter cookie, butter pecan, kalsky (better at church), Lemon cheesecake, chocolate expresso cheesecake. Lady there was super nice.

Triple chocolate brownie, I forgot about you! Holy cow! This one was delicious. My friend and I quickly dropped in before a movie at the Glen Art Theatre… oh, yes! Linda was super nice. We tried a few of the mini cheesecakes. They were creamy, rich and gone in a heartbeat!
I am sooo glad I just read a review on this place! I had forgotten what a good brownie they have. Be sure to check hours. I have come a few times to a closed shop! I think it was later evening. Definitely give this place a try. I’ll be back.

One more update here. I walked by here today with the boys before I took them to Lake Ellyn and note **there is a sign on the door that says they will no longer be selling items in their storefront. But you can call for pick-​up orders with a 24 hour notice (I believe). So I guess they are still somewhat open but you can’t just stop in for a treat. Hope this helps everyone.

Cupcakes, Cheesecakes and Cookies, Oh My!
I’m lazy. But not too lazy that I won’t drag myself out in search of a yummy baked good. I’m also hormonal. So the thought of some sweet goodness is definitely going to make my day. I won’t bake, but I’ll drive.
Dessertz is a very cute shop. The owners are very friendly ladies – and very chatty but in a good way. It’s Cash only so come prepared. Their website says they only bake in small batches to ensure good quality products so don’t walk in expecting trays and trays of baked items. But what they do offer in their pastry case still offers a good selection. They also offer custom orders/​decorating.
I opted for a red velvet and a chocolate cupcake. Both were delicious. Soft moist cake with good flavor. The frosting on each was also very good – not overly sweet. I appreciated that they frost them enough so they look very pretty, and not over do it making the frosting more prominent than the cake.
The cookies looked really good. I saw some set aside that were decorated for what I can only assume is a shower – bridesmaid dress shapes in pretty pastel colors. The mini cheesecake cups in the pastry case looked really yummy – with flavors like strawberry, lemon, chocolate chip – they were hard to pass up. But I was on a cupcake mission that day, I shall return for the cheesecakes.

Cupcakes I am oh so pickey about my cupcakes! I have been to some shops that try to sell their old stale cakes! Not here we visited mid-​week and they were fresh and yummy! The red velvet was moist with the perfect amount of sweetness, for me thats not to much; and the frosting had that luscious taste of fresh cream cheese you want lingering on your tounge.
We also tried the frosted sugar cookies very yummy! The ladies were very very friendly and accomadating! We’ll visit next time we stop in town so convenient right off the train station!

The vanilla and chocolate chip cheesecake minis (cupcake size) were brought as desserts for the non-​traditional baby shower we hosted for our daughter… WOW!!! These are not only delicious but addicting – not to mention the cute decorations they adorned!!!
My hub and I were thrilled to find that someone saved us a box of this little delights for us… reminded us of the cheesecake we served as wedding cake some years ago. We plan to make the long trip to Glen Ellyn on a regular basis to pick up more for our own consumption and to try some of the other flavors.
Will definitely use Dessertz for our next bash – making sure to stash a box for ourselves! Thank you, thank you, thank you for these scrumptious treats!

Sadly, I tried the frosted cookies again and they just weren’t as good. Also, the owner was very frosty over the fact that I was paying with a $ 20 and needed change…

the ladies who own this place are so talented!
i went in on an afternoon when they were putting together an order for a local spa opening. the cupcakes were decorated with tubes of lipstick and little ladies with towels on their heads. SO CUTE!
they have miniature cheesecakes in addition to the cupcakes and cookies, which are out of this world. if i still lived in glen ellyn, i would be here all the time. i am surprised there aren’t more reviews.

This place only recently opened, so I’m sure in a few more months they would earn more stars, but the product is really good. We went in on a Saturday afternoon, and there wasn’t a huge cupcake selection, but I got a caramel cupcake and the husband got a cherry vanilla, both of which were delicious. They also make cupcake sized cheese cakes which looked really good along with several kinds of cookies. The ladies who own it/​work there are super sweet too. Check it out.
