If you didn’t know Andros Grill it would be pretty easy to drive right by it. If you have a chance I’d suggest you try this place. They serve an interesting assortment of food– they expected Greek food along with burgers and such. It there’s also some pizza served as well. I’ve pretty much kept to the Greek part of the menu of which I have to say everything I’ve had has been great– the Greek salad, the gyro and the stuffed garlic knots(not what I expected the first time I got them but they are fantastic). Friendly staff and decent prices.

Amazing food. Great staff. Their tzadziki(yogurt sauce) is better than any. Especially with chicken Kabab and their rice. Their avgo lemono(chicken lemon soup) is amazing.

Food is always reliably good. The gyro sandwich is a meal by itself. The chicken lemon soup is outstanding! Their very friendly service is always a plus!

What a horrible place! I walked in randomly on a Sunday morning because I just wanted to get a quick bacon, egg and cheese on a roll to go. The place is dark, outdated and dingy but it didn’t bother me because I wasn’t going to sit there. The waitress took my order to go, but I had to repeat it three times for some reason. I took a seat at the counter and waited. Then I waited some more and after that I waited more. After fifteen minutes I asked another waitress what was going on with my order. I could clearly see the grill and could see that my order was not on it. A snippy guy then informed me that it would be coming right up. Meanwhile, another waitress informed me that they have to make orders in order. Okay, but there were only a few people there and no one was waiting for takeout except for me. She then told me that the other waitress should have informed me that it would take fifteen minutes. The snippy jerk behind the counter heard my questions and said that they were busy. All I saw was two guys moving slower than snails on the grill. I felt like going back there and making it myself because they were so pitifully slow. Anyway, I finally just got my money back and left. I also observed one guy in the kitchen licking his finger, another guy cutting up a block of cheese by hand with no gloves and things being taken off the grill without a gloved hand. In addition, waitresses are not friendly at all. I could see they were with the ‘regulars’, but not if they didn’t know you. New faces are apparently not welcome. Why would anyone even go to a dump like this?

Service was friendly but on a Saturday afternoon for lunch my friend and I were not impressed by the gyros here.

If you’re a real greek person, you will know this place has the worst greek food. Worse than gyro corner in queens. This is the Papa Johns of greek food. It is disgusting. Here are the reasons why. –moussaka, why is there spinach from spanakopita in a moussaka? Iv never seen that before. Yuck! –tomato sauce all over the moussaka? That is disgusting. No real greek would be caught dead putting that in a moussaka. — fries tasted like cardboard. Literally. — the rice lemon soup smells like wet dog food. — they ran out of the things i wanted… Twice. Don’t go here. Their food is bland and is not real greek food.

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. There was a bug in my food and everyone just got so turned off by that. If you order food to go expect it to be cold, soggy, or both. The bug was the last straw for me. Is this place even run by Greeks? It was a good time until we saw that bug, then realized how FILTHY this vicinity is to begin with. still haven’t forgiven myself. I have no idea what people are saying about«fresh» I have eaten here HANDFULS of times and after I ask myself«why». The bug was the last straw for me. But keep this in mind: if the place is dirty, what else is dirty. Hey it’s your mouth not mine.

Greek Food Made With Love! Everything is made to order and always fresh. Food is always delicious, ample portions and reasonably priced. The Spinach pies and rice pudding are outstanding. If you are looking for something that is like a very good home-cooked meal, this is the place to go. Friendly staff, good service, always busy with take out and delivery orders. They have a pretty wide choice of fare, including Pizza, Burgers and of course, Greek food. The food is consistently great and that is why I go there often.

My favorite greek food on long island! I’ve been coming here since I was little so it feels like home to me, I love Debbie and the rest of the wait staff. They also have the best tzatiki sauce around!

Love love love this place. Always good always consistent. Employees are the best, they really make you feel welcome. I normally order a large Greek salad with chicken, they have the best dressing. I tried the chicken cesear salad wrap today. fantastic, love the bread it was wrapped in. I have been eating at this restaurant for over 12 years now. The best!

I wanted so badly to enjoy the gyro there. The lamb was well seasoned, the vegetables were fresh and the Greek yogurt was good but the pita bread was to damn weak! It fell apart even before I could stuff it in my mouth. Made a whole mess in my car and on my clothes because of it. Got damn pita bread has me upset!

I’ve always wanted to try this place out! I finally had the opportunity and I wasn’t disappointed! I ordered the chicken souvlaki and French fries. The souvlaki was great and the taziki sauce wasn’t overwhelming or too thick. The fries were a little too think for me but other then that ill will definitely return!

Wow, pleasant surprise! In an area with one pretentious restaurant after another serving overpriced, substandard versions of the foods I grew up with, I was pleased to find Andros. Ordered for delivery as follows: Gyro: Very solid. Big portion, reasonable price. Forgot the yogurt sauce, but the hot sauce was excellent. I’ll give them a pass. The Greek salad(with anchovies, of course) was excellent. Truly fresh ingredients at a decent price. Wife had the falafel. A little too dense for our tastes, but overall passable. Solid, honest Greek place, not trying to dress up the old classics to raise the bill. Kudos.

I use Andros for delivery, and they’re always on-time with hot food. If you get delivery a lot, you know those can be rare qualities! I stick to pretty basic stuff, but it’s always good. Their souvlaki(the one with sliced/chopped meat) is a custom blend. It had a home-made quality, which is refreshing for a diner/luncheonette on Long Island. Galactobouriko and rice pudding also taste authentic. Not cloying, no commercial thickeners, no cheap shortening – another rare find for this type of establishment, which I appreciate. I definitely taste the difference. The take-out crew are nice folks, too.

I tried Andros based on the reviews and I gotta say, this place is legit for dine in. I have noticed some two poor experiences with inconsitency with take out. However, it should be noted anytime I eat in, it’s always excellent. Greek salad with roasted chicken is superb, spinach pie is pretty good and they make it on premises, for only $ 4.50. Tzatziki(yogurt sauce) is always fresh, the portions excellent and gyros are pretty tasty considering it’s processed meat. This is not a fancy place; but anytime I have had dinner here, we have always enjoyed great service from their experienced waitress, the food is always very good and it’s never heavy on the wallet. Two people will eat well with plenty to take home for $ 35 including tip. The back room is a little more private, spacious and kid friendly; plus it’s warm during winter; nice find.

First time I ever ordered takeout in Glencove I tried Andros thanks to Unilocal ! Delivery is fast, delivery service is super friendly and honest . Now for the amazing food … Andros has some of the best gyro and souvlaki meat I’ve ever tasted, it’s just perfect, tender, juicy, succulent … Mmmm Not to mention the huge portions they give you, i usually order the gyro and souvlaki platter with fries(also some of the best fries) and it also comes with a side salad, great deal, plenty of food to share for 2! I also like to order a personal cheese pizza and it’s pan style pizza with awesomely sweet sauce and good amount of cheese . I have only ordered take out from here so I can’t say anything about dining in but I have def been pleased each and every time I have ordered food from here.

This inviting homey restaurant serves excellent food at a very reasonable price. Our favorite waitress Debbie and the entire staff add warmth and comfort to the Greek, Italian and other specialties. On weekends Andros serves the best breakfast in town. Try the pancakes.

Every neighborhood needs a place like Andros. Simple unassuming storefront, and reasonably priced food. Terrific food. The Shrimp Corfu /Chicken Andros(basically the same dish except for the protein) is excellent. Great gyros. Go for the roasted potatoes(although they should make them darker!) instead of the fries. Even the Italian selections are very good, especially the pizza. Our go-to choice when we don’t know what we want and can’t decide.

Gotta be the best Gyro around! I come here often, usually with a few friends whenever we’re feeling really hungry. the portions are HUGE. If you order and Gyro sandwich, get ready to eat half the gyro with a fork before even being able to roll up the pita bread and fit it in your mouth. On top of that, it is fantastic. You can see it spinning on the rotisserie the window! I usually order the Gyro Souvlaki combo sandwich, a really tasty and filling meal. Service is always great here, the waitress is always nice and check up often. Highly recommended!
