Define Spa

Bought vouchers for Cavi-​Lipo. Took over a year to be able to reach someone to even make an appointment. There is no receptionist, no customer service. The procedure was also useless. Better off working out hard at the gym.
The merchant also refused to refund unused sessions and kept insisting they were all used. Save your nerves and do not deal with this place.
A spa should be friendly and relaxing, not stressful.

Not quite sure what is going on at Define Spa. I bought two GROUPONs for two underarm waxes. Their hours listed online are not the same according to the employees or voicemail so it is tricky making an appointment. First underarm wax went just fine. It was the first one I received ever and it was great and the aesthetician was pleasant and knowledgeable. I made an appt. for my second one for the afternoon but then had to change the appt. time for the morning. It seems more often than not, no one can answer the phone. Your message is not returned promptly at all. I have had to leave a couple messages and two days passed before I received a phone call back. I was finally able to change my appt. time to the morning hours. I arrive at the office for my appointment and to my surprise the door is locked and the office is dark. I have been calling since and still no one either has showed up to open the office or just doesn’t want to answer the phone or check the office’s voicemail. If there were issues I should have received a phone call saying that the office was going to have be closed for whatever reason and to reschedule. Time is precious for all of us so I consider it incredibly rude that the spa was not open even though I had an appointment scheduled and that I still have not received a phone call back about it. I wouldn’t even return to Define Spa for the second wax that I had scheduled if it wasn’t for the fact that I already paid for it through GROUPON.
Upon my editing this review, I have spoken to the the technician who took care of me the first time and she was extremely apologetic and explained to me what happened. She made it available for me to come in right away for my scheduled wax and provided another one complimentary. She is great and the owner is lucky to have her providing the salon’s services. I just hope the owner makes it a point to call people with appts. next time a mishap happens.

I love this spa! Jasmine is very good at making appointments and Melissa is fabulous! I’ve had IPL, waxing and lash tints done there– all done perfectly. Small, intimate shop with great products and prices.

I was very happy with the price, the front desk worker Jasmine was beyond helpful with answering questions, my technician Melissa made me feel as comfy as possible considering a stranger was pulling hair from my private area lol. The location is on a main street, very clean, and I loved my experience. I will be returning every month!

I had a Groupon for cavi-​lipo, saw Melissa. She’s very pleasant, seems to know what she’s doing, etc. BUT, I had no positive results from the cavi-​lipo. It felt good, similar to a light massage, but no improvement in cellulite, no loss of fat, etc. I was skeptical, should have gone with my initial feelings. Melissa provides other services, I would anticipate she’s good with those.

Early in the spring I bought a Groupon for a shellac manicure knowing I’d use it as some point since I was getting married in June and had several wedding festivities leading up to that. I scheduled a manicure a few weeks in advance to get the day before I left for my bachelorette party and when I got there they had no record of my appointment. The nail tech had changed days and somehow my appointment slipped through the cracks.
After working in service for a few years myself this doesn’t really make me lose my cool, I was already planning to head to another place for a pedicure so was able to do both at another location. They helped me to reschedule the manicure for my wedding week and threw in a complimentary shellac mani/​pedi to use before my honeymoon – they made it right!
The nail tech, Anna, is professional and also sweet to talk to during your appointment if you like to chat. For my wedding nails she was patient with helping me to pick a color and making sure I liked how it looked on my nails since it was such an important occasion. I loved it! I’d never had a shellac manicure before and heard they should last 2 – 3 weeks. After one week I had one nail that was starting to come up and after that was off I ended up taking the rest off so they matched. I’m hoping the one that I just got last night will last throughout my two week honeymoon.
Would definitely recommend them for nails, you may not always be able to get an appointment easily because there’s only one nail tech and when they keep running Groupon deals her schedule gets slammed. If you’re buying a deal with a particular day/​time in mind for an appointment I would call first before purchasing to make sure they have availabiliy.

Yikes. People were nice, but my aesthetician seemed like she didn’t know how to do a bikini wax. Easily the most botched unprofessional wax I’ve had. Left with bruises to prove it. Ugh.

I purchased a groupon and emailed immediately to schedule an appointment. (I scheduled a pedicure as well at full cost because I didn’t get a pedicure groupon in time) In the email I stated that I was pregnant and would love to schedule before I went to the hospital. They set up a date and time. Then, the day of the appointment, I got an email saying the nail tech was out and couldn’t come in– they would need to reschedule. Disappointed, because I could literally go into labor any day, I emailed back to reschedule. It took 5 days to get a response. Finally, we rescheduled for a few days later. Again, on the day of the appointment I get an email staying that they would not be able to do the services because it could put me into labor. (Hello, I am 40 weeks pregnant by this point– that’s ok!). They were well aware I was pregnant from the first email weeks ago. This is the first I have heard about not being able to do the service. I’m pretty positive my dr. Would have given me a prescription at this point for one if they gave me more than 4 hour notice. Very dissatisfied with this salon and their lack of communication and professionalism.

I had a Groupon for Cavi-​Lipo for three sessions on my belly. It did nothing for me. Don’t waste your money on Cavi-​Lipo. The Aesthetician was very pleasant though.

Please don’t plagiarize my comment on your website and then change what I actually wrote to make it match your current employees. My original review was for Lucy and not Melissa who I have never met much less received a wax from or reviewed.
When I first decided to try waxing I was a little nervous, but Lucy is so likable and has such positive energy that I was comfortable with her right away. Lucy is one of the best for facials and waxing and I would give her 10 out of 10 stars if I could! If you are looking for an aesthetician who knows what she’s doing and is an amazing person as well I’d definitely go see her. I’ve been seeing Lucy for several years now and can’t say enough good things about her!

Define Spa is a new boutique spa in the Innsbrook area. I just went there for the first time for a facial with Lucy. I have had facials with Lucy before at another spa and she is divine! I am so happy that she is now available at Define. Lucy takes great pride in her work and you can tell by her facials which are relaxing and effective. The spa uses Sothys products which have a very mild pleasant smell. I am very particular about the scent of products and these are terrific plus they feel great and leave your skin looking radiant. Lucy is also very talented at eyebrow design. I highly recommend her services!
