I will say when I went into the running store, I received great service and the person helping was very informed etc. The issue I have is with their return policy. I have never seen a running store have a 30 day unworn shoe policy. The store that I went to in AZ basically took them back no matter what within a reasonable time. Sometimes it takes a longer run to know they are NOT the right shoes. I was aware of the policy right as I was checking out and had already paid. I should have returned them right then and gone elsewhere. After running twice on my shoes, they aren’t at all working for me but I’m out of luck. I will not be returning…

This is my favorite running store in RVA. The staff, gear and prices are the most consistent in town. I started going to their original tri shop off of Forest Ave many years ago when I was in high school. They’ve since closed that store and opened up a new tri shop in the River Road Shopping Center and this store– which focuses just on running. They carry a wider selection of running stuff here than at the other store. Beyond shoes, they have a nice stock of other running accessories and always have some out-of-season items on clearance. Much of the staff that work here are experienced runners, but what I like is that they are all super friendly and down-to-earth and really care about putting folks in the best shoe, regardless of ability. They are also able to make some really helpful and honest suggestions for other products, such as injury treatment products and nutrition. I also like that I have success in finding older models of shoes for a good price here. Yesterday I was able to pick up a pair of racing shoes; their marked down price was cheaper than what I found at the Adidas Outlet. I think they typically mark old models down at least 25%. The vibe of the place is also a redeeming quality. Colorful walls and comfy places to sit. It’s not a huge store, but still manages to feel spacious. It’s just an all-around happy-feeling store.

Three sports out near Whole Foods has become my favorite running shop by far in the Richmond area. Nice selection of apparel, nutrition and of course current lines of running shoes from Nike Adidas Mizuno Newton etc. The guy who owns the shop is very helpful and really took some extra time getting me fitted to a proper shoe. Plus it’s right next to Burger Bach which doesn’t hurt!

Recently my boyfriend ordered a pair of running shoes for me, as a gift. I was super excited that they were supposed to be here on 6⁄17. My boyfriend went to the store to pick them up, all to find out that they were the wrong color! The employee tells my boyfriend that he inverted two of the numbers, which in turn got me violet and lime green shoes, not the white and blue I wanted. My boyfriend said this was not correct, and it needed to be fixed. The employee working said that they send things out on Wednesdays and receive on Mondays, so he would have to wait. My boyfriend advised that this was a mistake that the store made and they should fix it ASAP. The employee told my boyfriend that he would have to wait and see what his manager said about fixing HIS screw up! I’m extremely disappointed that my shoes are still not here! And I’m even more disappointed that I may have to wait even longer for their screw up!
