Mark is the first hairdresser I’ve been to in many years that has been able to get my naturally Auburn hair to its natural looking color and it’s even! He has totally improved my every day life! He’s amazing! The other part is the pleasant salon where everyone is happy, friendly and nice. It’s always a great day when I visit.

Mark did it again. He created a beautiful rich deep red color on my head. Love it!

I recently moved to the area and decided to take a leap and change my hair hair salon to somewhere more local, and also because I want very happy with the service at my previous salon, from uneven cuts to gummy dye left on my scalp, etc. After some Unilocal research I saw Mark seemed to be pretty well versed in redheads and the receptionist confirmed that for me too.
The salon was a little hard for me to find, so other new customers: on the outside it is in a little row of blue converted houses across from a big parking lot.
The staff was all so friendly! Everyone had a smile and Mark really listened to me when I explained what my previous stylist had been doing– mixing copper and violet reds to give me a more complimentary shade on my really pale skin tone. I really appreciated his attentiveness, he listened, asked questions, and showed me his plan before we started.
I have to admit I was a little skeptical on the color initially, I thought it might come out too copper/​brown, but went with Mark’s plan because he is the expert after all and knows a lot more about color than me, and holy crap! The color is incredible, a perfect mix of the coppers and violets, it’s absolutely the most natural it’s ever looked, I can’t believe what a great job he did, he is most definitely an artist with reds.
My bangs can be tricksy to cut and style too, I like the trendy full blunt bangs but with a big retro curl, and unfortunately that’s not very common, so I’ve run into some bang-​cutting issues. When we weren’t quite getting them where they were in a selfie I showed him at the beginning of the appointment, Mark took a step back and asked me in detail how I style them, and how I achieve the curl I like. My bangs wound up a touch too short, but just the fact that he asked me instead of stubbornly continuing to cut (again, what my old stylist would do, leaving me to clean up the insanely short and uneven mess when I got home) spoke volumes about his level of professionalism.
It was also another stylist’s birthday so Mark fixed me a plate of delish homemade enchiladas, beans, rice, and a salad while I was under the dryer. Talk about a full service salon, yum!
I had a great experience and scheduled my next appointment before I even went home. I like the color even more now, and I just can’t believe how natural it looks! Thank you Mark!

I recently moved to California, and have been apprehensive about having to replace the one I left out of state (I’m still having separation anxiety from her epic hair skills!) After a couple months, it was time to take the plunge and start trying stylists. After visiting Julie, I have found my new stylist!
I was apprehensive about building a connection with a new stylist after so long, but Julie understood exactly what I was looking to keep and what I was looking to change. She miraculously matched my former stylist’s color and gave me a tint that I adore! She was able to play with my bangs, help me vamp it up a bit, and still leave me feeling like I looked like myself. She was very friendly, approachable and pleasant to talk to. I’ve already booked my followup appointment and will be sticking with this salon, and Julie, for the foreseeable future!

I’ve gotten my hair cut by Julie a lot of times and even since moving to Oakland… I can’t find anyone who does the magic that she does!

I get my hair cut by Julie, she’s AMAZING. My hair always comes out exactly how I want it to. She’s extremely sweet and will talk to you while she’s doing your hair. She blow drys and straightens your hair after the cut, and I think it’s about 35 $. I have extremely long hair and it was always hard for me to find someone who would do a nice cut without charging me over 50 $. Once I started going to Julie, I never went anywhere else (it’s been about 6 or 7 years now).
You have to make an appointment, no walk ins. And for some reason I don’t think you can’t pay with credit cards (i’ve been paying cash and checks every time i’ve gone). Not 100% sure on that though.

I have been having Julie do my hair for so many years I can’t count. When I started coloring my hair, she knew exactly what I had in mind and despite my ever increasing gray the consistency has been excellent. When I have made a change in haircut style, she always delivers what I want. Since hair is such a big part of how good we look, it is so nice not to have to think about it and just know that I am in good hands with Julie! AND her prices are very reasonable!!!

I have been been going to Stan since I was a little girl. He does an amazing job and knows exactly what i like. Everyone is super friendly and the atmosphere is to die for.

I took a HUGE leap and made an appointment with Stan. Have been going to a family member (by marriage) for over 10 years and she’s very hard to get an appointment with. For a song, I got a super cute hair cute, color on my roots that matched EXACTLY to my Aveda color (from the other salon) and some fun conversation. I loved Stan’s way of doing the color, no brush just gloved fingers, the brush kills my scalp! My hair is light and springy and I’m sold! Sorry cousin!
It’s amazing that less than 10 minutes from Morgan Hill, the prices are so much more «real life».
