Bank of the West

Seriously, there’s 9 people in line and 1 teller. There’s 3 people sitting in desks not even helping people. No merchant line available even though the time says 9 – 4:30…
It’s like this too often…

Best bank around! The manager Toni is amazing, sweet, smart and knows how to run the place! Could not ask for better customer service! Feels like I’m visiting family when I go in.
This is to MARK who left that *beware* review: Mark, you are ignorant and put a bad taste to good businesses. EVERY bank takes a fee if you don’t have an account! Dont be an ass, go cash it at your bank.
To the poor business owner– What type of business are you running? A lemonade stand? If you don’t have $ 2000 to open a business account, then it’s not quite a business. You should open up a PayPal account and build some credibility. Bank of the west did you a favor.
Bank of the West is great. I trust them with everything I have!

This bank will take your money. what i am saying is if you have a check from a company that is drawn on a bank of the west account and you do not have a account with them they will charge you seven dollars even if the check is a bank of the west check, i hate banks that take your money for no good reason… BEWARE…

I’ve been banking with BofW for several years — they’ve always been good. It turns out one of the tellers is a next door neighbor, I was able to learn this because of the relaxed friendly environment. I usually go to San Jose locations — Gilroy is just as good if not better.
They take care of my business account. No issues here, they are very competitive.

Pros:
–Really nice staff
–Great location in Gilroy
Cons:
-$ 2000 required as minimum balance for a business account
–The bank looks outdated inside
–The online banking system is almost impossible to use; it’s really old and clunky
I have been a lifetime Bank of America customer and thought I’d open my business account at Bank of the West to try them out; after a year, I have closed my account and returned to BofA. So sorry to say it! I wanted to support Bank of the West since it’s a smaller one!
